A. Side rails
Raising the side rails
1. Pull the side rail element out horizontally from the side until the limit
stop, and raise it upwards.
2. To adjust the height of the side rail, pull the telescopic section upwards
until it reaches its limit stop.
Lowering the side rails
1. Press both buttons on the outside of the frame (g. 1), just under the
cross-member, to bring the height-adjustable side rail element to its
lowest position.
2. Press the "Drücken / Press" trigger at the lower edge of the side rail
element (g. 2) and tilt it sideways into the horizontal plane, so that it lies
parallel to the oor.
3. Push the rail element completely underneath the lying surface
(g. 3a, g. 3b).

D. Key lock
Activating the key lock of the hand control or nurse keypad (optional) disables
all functions of the relevant control element.
Upper leg section up
Locking the nurse keypad also locks the hand control.
E. Castor xing
Two of the four guide castors can be braked.
Foot pedal down: The bed is fixed.
Foot pedal up: The bed is ready for moving.
Both castors must be fixed if the bed is not moved.
In the optional, manoeuvrable variant the bed has four
additional guide castors at the head end, allowing the bed to be manoeuvred
on the spot. Two of these castors are provided with direction xers. These
must also always be xed, apart from when moving the bed.
The direction xers are not correctly xed until the foot pedals are down and
the castors can be heard latching into place parallel to the length side of the
bed after turning slightly.
NOTE The bed is not suitable for cleaning in automatic washing systems
(IPX4) and may not be used for transporting occupants/patients.
