PORTABLE CD/MP3 PLAYER

Please read these instructions carefully before connecting, operating or adjusting the unit. Follow all warnings and operating recommendations in this manual. Keep this manual for future reference.

DANGEROUS VOLTAGE

This lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT

This unit is classified as Class 1 Laser Product. The corresponding mark is on the rear panel of the unit and it means that the unit employs a beam system. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit. REFER TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL FOR REPAIR.

PRECAUTIONS Connecting to power sources Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the plug is damaged or if there are other damages in the unit, if the unit fell.

Check, whether the electricity supply in your home sockets corresponds to the voltage specified ob the housing of the unit.

Do not use the unit outdoors. Do not immerse the power cord or the plug into water or other liquids. Provide that the power cord does not hang over the table and that it does not touch hot surfaces.

Do not use the unit near heated sources or open flame.

Do not immerse the unit into water. To prevent fire or shock hazard do not use this unit near water for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool and such like places. Prevent the unit from dripping and splashing. Do not place objects filled with water for example vases on the unit. Do not overload wall outlets or extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock. Place the unit in a way that you could easily pull out the plug from the socket if there are some damages. Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, pay particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the unit. Use only the extenders approved by the manufacturer otherwise it can be dangerous. For additional protection during lighting and in cases when you are not going to use the unit for a long time, unplug the unit. It will prevent the unit from failure during lighting and power surges. To unplug the unit, hold it by the plug. Do not pull by the cord.

Do not touch the plug with wet hands

Do not lubricate the moving parts of the unit. In order to avoid electric shock do not remove the cover yourself. Do not repair and do not modify the unit. Technical maintenance must be performed only by qualified service personnel.

Installation the unit

Install the unit in places with proper ventilation. Do not place the unit in the built-in furniture (bookshelves or wall cabinet) if there is no proper ventilation there. The openings should never be blocked by placing the unit on a bed, sofa, rug, as slots and openings in the case are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the unit and to protect it from overheating. The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products (including amplifiers) that produce heat. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, excessive dust or mechanical shocks. Place the unit on the flat stable surface away from the equipment with strong magnetic fields,

for example from video-, audio recorders, radio recorders and big acoustic systems, as their magnetic field lines may cause sound interferences. Do not place heavy objects on the unit. Be especially careful if children or infirm persons are near the operating appliance. Do not leave them unattended.

The unit is intended for household usage only.

Foreign objects

Provide that no foreign objects get into openings of the unit; it can lead to fire or electric shock. If it happens unplug the unit and apply to the service centre.

Conditions Requiring Service Unplug this unit from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a) When the power supply cord or plug is dam-

aged. b) There are foreign objects inside the unit. c) If the unit has been exposed to rain or water. d) If the unit does not operate normally by fol-

has been damaged. f) When the unit exhibits a distinct change in

performance-this indicates a need for serv-

ice.

Note: If there are low-power lamps in the room, where the unit is operating, the operation of the unit can be unstable

Cleaning

Unplug this unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. You can wipe the front panel with a damp soft cloth dampened in soapy water. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.

Cleaning discs

Do not use cracked or deformed discs, it can damage a unit. Hold the disc by the edges. Do not touch the surface. Dust, scratches or fingerprints on the surface may lead to a failure of the unit. Protect the disc from direct sunlight; keep them away from heat sources, high temperature and

moisture. After usage, put the discs in the case for storage. Wipe periodically the surface of the discs with a soft cloth from the center to the edges. Do not use detergents.

EARPHONES JACK

For individual listening to music through the earphones (not supplied) connect them to the earphones jack (22). Use the VOLUME button to adjust volume. The speakers will automatically turn off when headphones are connected. Attention! Do not listen to too loud music via the earphones. Doctors do not recommend continuous listening to music via the earphones for a long time.

POWER CONNECTION Line supply

Before connecting the unit, make sure that your home electricity supply corresponds to the voltage specified on the unit.

1. To connect the unit, insert one end of the power cord in the jack (23) and the other one – into the socket. Set the switch (11) to the ON position.

2. To switch off the unit set the switch (11) to the OFF position.

Note: Static electricity can lead to interferences in the operation of the unit. In this case disconnect the unit, and then connect it again. If the problem does not disappear, apply to the service center.

Battery supply

1. Disconnect the player.

2. Open the main battery compartment lid, by pressing the two catches following the arrow.

3. Insert 8 C batteries (not supplied) in the battery compartment following the polarity.

4. Close the battery compartment lid.

Attention! Battery leakage can lead to injuries and damages of the unit. To avoid damages of batteries follow the instructions below:

- Place the batteries properly.

- Take the batteries out if you are not going to

use the unit for a long time.

- Do not recharge the batteries, do not disman-

tle the, and do not subject them to high temperature.

- Replace the batteries in time.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Adjusting volume

Use the VOLUME knob to adjust the desired volume level.

AUX IN jack

Use the AUX IN jack to connect an external device. Use audio cable 3,5 mm Jack - 3,5 mm Jack (not supplied) to connect the external device. Switch on the unit. Press the FUNCTION button consequently; select the AUX mode, the corresponding symbols will appear on the display.

3. Press the BAND button consequently, select the desired band AM or FM.

4. Use the / button to select the desired ra- dio station.

Manual tuning: consequently press the / buttons to select the desired radio station at 0,05 MHz in the FM mode 9 kHz in the АМ mode. Auto search: press and hold the  or  button more than 1 second, the tuner will start scanning and automatically stops scanning when finds a nearest strong signal from a radio station.

5. After you stop listening to the radio, set the switch (11) to the OFF position.

Note: To reduce noise level while listening to the radio station in the FM band with weak signal set the tuner mode using the (4) button to the MONO position.

Antenna

For the best FM reception, completely extend the FM ANTENNA and direct it at the desired angle. For the best AM reception try different variants of the unit location.

Programming radio stations

You can tune and store up to 10 radio stations in each FM and AM bands.

1. Select the band and tune to the radio station you want to program.

2. Press the PROGRAM button once. The flashing symbol of the station number will appear

You will be able to listen to tracks from the external device via the speakers.

Radio stations reception

1. Set the switch (11) to the ON position.

2. Press the FUNCTION button consequently, select the radio mode. The corresponding symbols will appear on the display.

4. Press the PROGRAM button once again to store the settings. Symbol of the station number will stop flashing.

Repeat points 1 – 4 for all radio stations which you want to store in memory of the unit. To select the preliminary programmed radio stations, consequently press the PRESET UP button.

Playback CD discs

Note:

Loading – open the CD compartment lid. Insert a CD disc and close the CD compartment lid. Ejecting – after the playback stops open the CD compartment lid and eject the disc. Put the disc in the case for storage. Always close the CD compartment lid in order to prevent it from getting dust. Always eject a disc from the CD compartment if it is not being played back.

1. Switch on the unit.

2. Consequently press the FUNCTION button to select the disc playback mode, the “CD READ” symbols will be flashing on the display. If there is no disc in the disc slot, the “NO DISC” symbols will appear on the display.

3. Open the disc slot. Inset a disc and close the disc slot. Make sure that the disc is set properly – with the label upwards. Total number of tracks and total playback time will appear on the display.

Playback

In the stop mode, press the PLAY/PAUSE button, the disc will start playing back.

Pause

To pause the playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button in the playback mode, the symbols on the display will start flashing.

To resume the playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button once again

Stop playback

To stop the playback, press the STOP button. Number of the tracks and total playback time will appear on the display.

Moving to the beginning of the track, to the previous and the next track

1. To move to the previous or to the next track, if the playback is stopped, press the  or the  button correspondingly.

2. To move to the beginning of the played back track press the  button once in the playback mode.

3. To move to the next track, press the  button once in the playback mode.

4. To move to the previous track, press the  button twice in the playback mode, if the playback is stopped, press the  button once.

5. For fast rewinding, and to fast move to the previous or the next tracks press and hold the  or  buttons correspondingly, sound will be played back brokenly.

Repeated playback of a track or a disc

1. To repeat one track press the PLAY MODE button once, the flashing “REP” symbol will appear on the display.

2. To repeat all tracks on the disc press the PLAY MODE button twice, the non- flashing “REP” symbol will appear on the display.

To cancel the repeat mode, press the PLAY MODE button till the repeat symbol disappears.

Random playback

1. To random playback all tracks on the disc, press the PLAY MODE button thrice in the stop mode, the “RAND” symbol will appear on the display. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button, random playback of the tracks will start.

2. To cancel random playback of all tracks, press the PLAY MODE button once again, the “RAND” symbol will disappear.

PROGRAMMING THE PLAYBACK

You can program playback of tracks (max. 20) in the desired order.

1. When the playback of a disc is stopped, press the PROGRAM button once. The “PROG” symbol and the track number will be flashing on the display.

Playback of МР3 discs

This unit can playback most of MP3 discs but there are cases when the disc is not played back due to the settings of the software used for recording this disc. (For instance, if the finalization of a disc is absent.)

1. Switch on the unit.

3. Open the disc slot. Inset a disc and close the disc slot. Make sure that the disc is set properly – with the label upwards.

2. Select the desired track, consequently pressing the  or  buttons.

3. To store the selected track press the PROGRAM button. The number of the track will increase automatically “Р02”.

Repeated playback of a track or a folder

1. To repeat one track press the PLAY MODE button once, the flashing “REP” symbol will appear on the display.

2. To repeat all tracks in the current folder press the PLAY MODE button twice in the МР3 playback mode, the “REP ALBUM” symbols will appear on the display.

3. To repeat all tracks on the disc (in all folders) press the PLAY MODE thrice in the МР3 playback stop mode, the non-flashing “REP” symbol will appear on the display.

4. To store the selected track press the PROGRAM button. The number of the track will increase automatically “Р02”. To program the next track, repeat the above mentioned points. You can program up to 20 tracks

Random playback

1. To random playback all tracks on the disc, press the PLAY MODE button four times in the stop mode, the “RAND” symbol will appear on the display. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button, random playback of the tracks will start.

Operation with iPOd

Holder selection

To provide proper placement of your iPod in the compartment (17) use one of the tree holders according to the table:

Setting/removing the holder

1. Turn the wheel (19) in a way that the model of your iPod, corresponding to the marks on the wheel, matches the arrow in the compartment for iPod.

2. If you have iPod nano select one of the holders using the table, to provide proper placement of your iPod in the compartment (17). Insert the selected holder till the end into the compartment (17).

3. Insert your iPod into the jack (20), make sure that your iPod is securely fastened in the compartment (17).

4. To replace/remove the holder, remove firstly iPod, and then remove the holder, carefully pulling it upwards.

Playback iPod files

1. Set the switch (11) to the ON position.

2. Consequently press the FUNCTION button, select the iPod operation mode, the corresponding symbols will appear on the display.

If there are files of proper format on your iPod, they will start playing back from the moment when their playback was stopped or paused. If there are no files of proper format on your iPod, the following symbols will appear on the display:

iPod nano of 1-st and 2-гd generation

iPod nano 3-d generation

iPod nano 4-th generation

Charging iPod When connecting your iPod to the jack (20),

iPod switches to the standby mode and then switches off. When your iPod is connected to the jack (20), its charging starts. Note: Volume level adjusted via iPod, corresponds to the volume level, played back via the earphones. To increase volume level, use the VOLUME knob.

Установка устройства

Устройство необходимо разместить на ровной, устойчивой поверхности, подальше от оборудования с сильными магнитными полями, например от видео-, аудиомагнитофонов, радиоприемников или больших колонок, т.к. силовые линии магнитного поля от этих устройств могут вызвать помехи в звуке. Не кладите на устройство тяжелые предметы. Будьте особенно внимательными, если рядом с включенным прибором находятся дети или лица с ограниченными возможностями, не оставляйте их без присмотра.

Устройство предназначено только для бытового использования.

Посторонние предметы

Не допускайте попадания каких-либо посторонних предметов через отверстия в корпусе устройства, это может повлечь за собой возгорание устройства и поражение электрическим током. Если это произошло, отсоедините

устройство от сети и для дальнейшего его использованием обратитесь в сервисный центр.

Повреждения, требующие ремонта

В описанных ниже ситуациях необходимо выключить устройство из розетки и обратиться к квалифицированному персоналу для ремонта устройства: a) Сетевой провод или вилка повреждены. b) В устройство попали посторонние пред-

меты.

c) Устройство попало под дождь или на него

разлили воду. d) Устройство не работает нормально. e) Устройство упало или было повреждено

каким-либо другим образом. f) Заметны явные изменения в работе уст-

ройства.

Примечание: Если в помещение, где эксплуатируется устройство, находятся энергосберегающие лампы, возможна нестабильная работа устройства.

Уход за устройством

Перед чисткой выключите устройство из розетки. Для чистки устройства используйте влажную мягкую ткань. Переднюю панель можно протирать влажной мягкой тканью, смоченной в мыльном растворе. Запрещается использовать для этих целей жидкие или аэрозольные чистящие средства

Уход за дисками

Не используйте треснутые или деформированные диски, это может вызвать поломку устройства. Берите диск только за края. Не прикасайтесь к рабочей поверхности диска. Пыль, царапины или отпечатки пальцев на рабочей поверхности диска могут привести к выходу его из строя. Не подвергайте диски воздействию прямых солнечных лучей, источников тепла, высокой температуры и влажности. После использования уберите диск в футляр на хранение. Периодически протирайте рабочую поверхность диска мягкой тканью от центра к краям. Не пользуйтесь обычными моющими средствами.

Подключение наушников

Для прослушивания музыки через наушники (в комплект поставки не входят) подключите их к гнезду (22). Установите желаемый уровень громкости при помощи ручки регулировки уровня громкости VOLUME. При подключении наушников динамики магнитолы отключатся автоматически.

Внимание! Не воспроизводите через наушники звук большой громкости. Врачи не ре-

комендуют длительное непрерывное прослушивание через наушники.

ПОДКЛЮЧЕНИЕ ПИТАНИЯ Питание от сети

Перед подключением устройства к сети убедитесь, что напряжение в электрической сети соответствует рабочему напряжению устройства.

1. Для подключения устройства к сети вставьте один конец сетевого шнура в гнездо (23) а другой – в розетку. Установите переключатель (11) в положение ON.

2. Для выключения устройства установите переключатель (11) в положение OFF.

Примечание: Статическое электричество может привести к помехам в работе устройства. В этом случае отключите устройство от источников питания, а затем подключите снова. Если проблема не решится, обратитесь в ближайший сервисный центр.

Питание от батареек

1. Отключите магнитолу от сети

2. Откройте крышку батарейного отсека сзади магнитолы, нажав на две защелки в направлении по стрелке.

3. Вставьте 8 батареек «С» (не входят в комплект поставки) в батарейный отсек, соблюдая полярность.

4. Закройте крышку батарейного отсека.

Внимание! Протечка батареек может стать причиной травм или повреждения устройства. Чтобы избежать повреждения, следуйте приведенным ниже инструкциям:

- устанавливайте батарейки правильно;

- вынимайте батарейки, если устройство не

будет использоваться в течение длительного времени;

- не перезаряжайте батарейки, не разби-

райте их, не подвергайте воздействию высокой температуры;

- своевременно меняйте батарейки.

Регулировка уровня громкости

Для установки желаемого уровня громкости используйте ручку регулировки громкости VOLUME.

Гнездо AUX IN

Для подключения внешнего устройства используйте гнездо AUX IN. Подключите внешнее устройство при помощи аудиокабеля 3,5 мм (не входит в комплект поставки). Включите магнитолу. Последовательно нажимая кнопку FUNCTION, выберите режим работы AUX, при этом на дисплее устройства появится соответствующий символ.

Вы сможете прослушивать треки с внешнего устройства через динамики магнитолы.

Прием радиостанций

1. Установите переключатель (11) в положение ON.

2. Последовательно нажимая кнопку FUNCTION, выберите режим прослушивания радио. При этом на дисплее устройства появятся соответствующие символы.

3. Последовательно нажимая кнопку BAND, выберите желаемый диапазон AM или FM.

4. При помощи кнопок / выберите желаемую радиостанцию.

установите режим работы тюнера при помощи кнопки (4) в положение MONO.

Антенна

Для наилучшего приема в диапазоне FM выдвиньте полностью телескопическую антенну и сориентируйте ее под нужным углом. Для наилучшего приема в диапазоне AM попробуйте различные варианты размещения магнитолы.

Программирование радиостанций

Вы можете настроить и сохранить 10 радиостанций в каждом из диапазонов FM и AM.

1. Выберите частотный диапазон и настройтесь на радиостанцию, которую вы хотите запрограммировать.

2. Нажмите один раз кнопку PROGRAM. При этом на дисплее устройства появится мигающий символ номера канала.

3. Последовательно нажимая кнопку PRESET UP, выберите номер канала, под которым Вы хотите сохранить радиостанцию.

Ручная настройка: последовательно нажимайте кнопки / для выбора желаемой радиостанции с шагом 0,05 МГц в режиме FM или 9 кГц в режиме АМ.

Автоматический поиск: удерживайте нажатой кнопку  или  более 1 секунды тюнер начнет сканирование и автоматически остановит сканирование при нахождении ближайшего сильного сигнала от радиостанции.

5. По окончании прослушивания выключите магнитолу, установите переключатель (11) в положении OFF.

Примечание: Для уменьшения уровня шумов при прослушивании радиостанций FM-диапазона, имеющих слабый уровень сигнала,

4. Нажмите еще раз кнопку PROGRAM, чтобы сохранить сделанные установки. При этом мигание символа номера канала прекратится.

Повторите пункты 1 – 4 для всех радиостанций, частоты которых вы хотите сохранить в памяти магнитолы. Для выбора предварительно запрограммированных радиостанций последовательно нажимайте кнопку PRESET UP.

Воспроизведение CD дисков

Примечание:

Загрузка – Откройте отсек для дисков. Установите CD диск и закройте крышку отсека. Извлечение – После остановки воспроизведения откройте крышку отсека для диска и извлеките диск. Уберите диск в футляр. Всегда закрывайте крышку отсека для дисков для предотвращения попадания в него пыли. Всегда извлекайте диск из отсека, если он не воспроизводится.

1. Включите магнитолу.

2. Последовательно нажимая кнопку FUNCTION, выберите режим воспроизведения дисков, при этом на дисплее будут мигать символы «CD READ». При отсутствии диска в отсеке для дисков на дисплее отобразятся символы «NO DISC».

3. Откройте отсек для дисков. Установите диск и закройте крышку отсека. Убедитесь, что диск установлен правильно этикеткой вверх. На дисплее отобразится общее количество треков и общее время воспроизведения.

Воспроизведение

В режиме остановки воспроизведения нажмите кнопку PLAY/PAUSE, начнется воспроизведение диска.

Для возобновления воспроизведения нажмите повторно кнопку PLAY/PAUSE

Остановка воспроизведения

Для остановки воспроизведения нажмите кнопку STOP. На дисплее отобразится число треков и общее время воспроизведения.

Переход к началу трека, предыдущему и следующему треку.

1. Для перехода к предыдущему или следующего треку, если воспроизведение остановлено, нажмите кнопку  или  соответственно.

2. Для перехода к началу воспроизводимого трека нажмите в режиме воспроизведения один раз кнопку .

3. Для перехода к следующему треку нажмите один раз кнопку  в режиме воспроизведения.

4. Для перехода к предыдущему треку нажмите в режиме воспроизведения два раза кнопку , если воспроизведение остановлено, нажмите кнопку  один раз.

5. Для быстрой перемотки, а также для перехода к предыдущим или следующим трекам нажмите и удерживайте кнопку  или  соответственно, звук при этом воспроизводится прерывисто.

Повтор воспроизведения трека или диска

1. Для повтора одного трека нажмите один раз кнопку PLAY MODE, на дисплее отобразится мигающий символ «REP».

Пауза

Для приостановки воспроизведения нажмите кнопку PLAY/PAUSE в режиме воспроизведения, при этом символы на дисплее начнут мигать.

2. Для повтора всех треков на диске нажмите два раза кнопку PLAY MODE, на дисплее отобразится не мигающий символ «REP».
