operating this tool. Failure to understand how to safely operate this tool can

3. Use
This tool is useful for identifying hot and neutral connectors, and detecting
the presence of an AC voltage at outlets, switches, circuit breakers, etc.

Note that this tool will not detect voltages on armoured cables, or
on cables behind panels, in metallic enclosures, etc.
Warning: Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they
may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable
batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local
regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

1. Place the probe tip on or near the circuit or unit to be tested. The probe
tip lights and you hear a beep to indicate the presence of an AC voltage
from 100 to 600 VAC.
2. To find a break in a hot conductor, trace the wire until the signal stops.
To find a break in a neutral conductor, connect a load between the hot
and neutral, and then trace the wire until the signal stops.
3. Press the on/off button to use the flashlight.
4. Battery Insertion/Replacement
1. Disconnect the tool from the circuit.
2. Gently lift the pocket clip while pulling the cap.
3. Insert the included batteries or replace the batteries with an exact
equivalent. Respect the polarity.
4. Slide the cap back on the tool to close.
Remove the battery if the device will not be used for a long time. Old
batteries can begin to leak and damage the device.
5. Technical Specifications
Use this device with original accessories only. Velleman nv cannot
be held responsible in the event of damage or injury resulting from
(incorrect) use of this device.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

detector. Het niet in acht nemen van de veiligheidsinstructies kan letsels of

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het
na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele
batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij
een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet
dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt

WAARSCHUWING: Test de detector voor elk gebruik op een
gekend circuit onder spanning.
Houd dit toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen en onbevoegden.
Bescherm het toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende
vloeistoffen, en extreme hitte.

Deze detector is niet geschikt voor gebruik op afgeschermde kabels
of leidingen achter panelen, metalen behuizingen, enz.
Waarschuwing: U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur
gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi
batterijen weg volgens de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd
batterijen uit het bereik van kinderen.
Probeer de detector niet te repareren. De gebruiker mag geen onderdelen
vervangen.
3. Gebruik
Gebruik deze detector voor het vaststellen van onder meer leidingen,
schakelaars, zekeringen onder wisselspanning.
1. Plaats de sonde op het te testen circuit of toestel. De oplichtende sonde
en de pieptoon geven een wisselspanning van 100 tot 600 VAC aan.
2. Om een onderbreking in een kabel onder spanning vast te stellen,
beweeg de detector langs de leiding tot hij niet meer oplicht of piept. Om
een onderbreking in een neutrale kabel vast te stellen, sluit een last aan
tussen de kabel onder spanning en de neutrale kabel, en beweeg de
detector langs de leiding tot hij niet meer oplicht of piept.
3. Druk op de aan-uitschakelaar om de zaklamp te gebruiken.
4. Plaatsen/vervangen van de batterijen
1. Ontkoppel de detector van het circuit.
2. Hef de zakclip voorzichtig omhoog en trek de dop van de detector.
3. Plaats de meegeleverde batterijen of vervang de batterijen door een
exact equivalent. Respecteer de polariteit.
4. Plaats de dop opnieuw op de detector.
Verwijder de batterijen als het toestel gedurende een langere tijd niet
gebruik wordt. Oude batterijen kunnen lekken en het toestel beschadigen.
