Installation of Software / Driver for K8061 or VM140 on Windows 10 32 – 64 Bit.

Installation Guide:

1) Download the latest software from this our site:

https://www.velleman.eu/downloads/files/downloads/k8061_driver_v4_0.zip

Please install with full Administrator privileges and click on "Install this driver software anyway" if you
get a pop-up that Windows cannot verify the publisher of the driver.

2) Unzip (extract) the downloaded setup file.

3) Then connect the K8061 onto USB port. Note do not use an USB 3.0 port (blue port).

Then Power on the K8061 via 12V DC adaptor.

4) Install the driver for K8061.

a. To install the driver, you must disable the driver signature enforcement.

To do so, reboot the computer in special mode called: “disable driver
signature enforcement”

Hold shift key pressed while you click on “Restart”.

b. Once your computer has rebooted, you will be able to choose the Troubleshoot

option.

c. Now choose Advanced options.

d. Choose Startup Settings.

Since we are modifying boot time configuration settings, you will need to restart your
computer one last time. Finally, you will be given a list of startup settings that you
can change. The one we are looking for is “Disable driver signature enforcement”.
To choose the setting, you will need to press the F7 function key.

Your PC will now reboot one more time and you will be able to install unsigned drivers
without any error message.
