This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of

should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device
should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling

not install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions
Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.
Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain,
moisture, splashing and dripping liquids. Never put objects
filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.
DO NOT disassemble or open the cover. There are no userserviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for
service and/or spare parts.
Warning: Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they
may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries
(alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations.
Keep batteries away from children.
Keep the module away from magnetic fields. Do not install it near
concrete walls or iron doors.

3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages
of this manual.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force
when operating the device.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage
caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an
unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not
covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for
any ensuing defects or problems.
Keep this manual for future reference.
4. Features
The HAM212 tag has a door sensor. Whenever a door or window has been
opened, the tag will send an alarm notification to your smartphone or tablet
through your home wifi connection. The free app for Android® and iOS®
allows you to manage the status. Configuration is plug and play via the free
cloud service. The battery power is only used during an alarm trigger.
5. Operation
Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.
1. Install the NexusHome app on your smartphone, create your account
and register (make sure to use either WPA or WPA2).
2. Next, connect your smartphone to the router to be used. Make sure
the 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n protocol is used.
3. Enter the app and select “Add Device/wifi Setting” under Profile.
4. Enter the password of the router to be used.
5. Insert the batteries in the module. To do so, unscrew the cover from
the housing, install the batteries according to the correct polarity.
Once done, connect the module to your smartphone using the included
cable.
6. Pair the module to your smartphone by pressing “Pair New Device”.
After a successful pairing, disconnect the module. Also, close the
battery cover. Note that, if you move the module, you will receive a
notification message.
7. Now, fix the module onto the desired location, e.g. a window, door,
safe…

Remarks
For best results, please
turn off all audio effects on your phone, such as equalizers, Beats Audio,
etc.
get as close as possible to the router
disconnect all headsets or speakers
make sure your password does not include a leading or trailing space
6. Troubleshooting
I cannot pair the module successfully.
Make sure the router is working properly. Check SSID and
password.
Makes sure battery power is sufficient.
Too many devices are using the wifi connection. Switch off those
devices during pairing.

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Houd dit toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen en onbevoegden.
Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm het
toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende vloeistoffen.
Plaats nooit objecten gevuld met vloeistof op of naast het
toestel.
Demonteer of open dit toestel NOOIT. Er zijn geen onderdelen in
het toestel die door de gebruiker gerepareerd kunnen worden.
Contacteer uw verdeler voor eventuele reserveonderdelen.

Waarschuwing: U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur
gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi
batterijen weg volgens de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd
batterijen buiten het bereik van kinderen.
Houd de module uit de buurt van magnetische velden. Installeer het
toestel niet in de nabijheid van betonnen muren of ijzeren deuren.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze
handleiding.
Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de
bediening van het toestel.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aan het apparaat
aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft
aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt
automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde
richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid
afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee
houden.
Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.
4. Eigenschappen
De HAM212 is voorzien van een deursensor. Zodra een deur of venster
geopend of gebroken wordt, stuurt het alarm een bericht naar uw
smartphone of tablet via de wifi-verbinding. Dankzij de gratis app voor
Android® en iOS® kunt u de status controleren. Plug-&-play-configuratie via
de gratis clouddienst. De batterij verbruikt alleen energie wanneer een
alarm geactiveerd wordt.
5. Gebruik
Raadpleeg de afbeeldingen op pagina 2 van deze handleiding.
1. Installeer de NexusHome-app op uw smartphone, maak een account
aan en log in (gebruik WPA of WPA2).
2. Verbind vervolgens uw smartphone met de router die u wilt gebruiken.
Zorg ervoor dat u het 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n-protocol gebruikt.
3. Open de app en selecteer "Add Device/wifi Setting" onder "Profile".

4. Geef het wachtwoord in van de router die u wilt gebruiken.
5. Plaats de batterijen in de module. Verwijder het deksel van de
behuizing en plaats de batterijen volgens de polariteit. Sluit de module
aan op de smartphone met de meegeleverde kabel.
6. Druk op "Pair New Device" om de module aan uw smartphone te
koppelen. Ontkoppel de module na het koppelen. Sluit ook het
batterijvak. Opgelet: Wanneer u de module verplaatst, dan ontvangt u
een alarmmelding.
7. Installeer de module op de gewenste plaats (bv. venster, deur, safe,
enz.).
Opmerkingen
Voor de beste resultaten,
schakel alle geluidseffecten op uw telefoon uit (versterkers, Beats
Audio, enz.) en controleer of uw smartphone zich niet in stille
modus bevindt.

6. Problemen en oplossingen
De module kan niet gekoppeld worden.
Controleer of de router correct functioneert. Controleer de SSID
en het wachtwoord.
Controleer of de batterijen niet leeg zijn.
Teveel toestellen gebruiken de wifi-verbinding. Schakel deze
toestellen uit tijdens het koppelen.
