3. General Guidelines

Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last
pages of this manual.
 This system can provide valuable protection for your home and

property if used properly. However, it cannot guarantee complete
protection against burglary or robbery. Therefore, Velleman nv will
not be responsible for any losses or damages which occur during
the use of this product.

 Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures.
 Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when

operating the device.

 Do not aim the camera at the sun or other extremely bright

objects.

 Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually

using it.

 All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.

Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered
by the warranty.

 Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in

an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

 Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual

is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept
responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

 There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device except for

the batteries. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or
spare parts.

 Do not use this product to violate privacy laws or perform illegal

activities. Respect the legislation in your region when installing an
alarm system. If necessary, refer to local authorities.

4. Features

This basic home alarm system has an integrated PIR sensor and
camera. The PIR sensor detects if an intruder enters the room and
the camera starts recording video files. An infrared remote allows
you to arm and disarm the alarm system. A solar panel provides
power during standby. The battery power is only used during an
alarm trigger and video recording.

6. Installation

6.1 Installing/Replacing Batteries

Refer to the illustrations on page 3–4 of this manual.

Warning! Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as
they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non­rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in
accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from
children.

Caution! Remove the batteries from the devices if they will not be
used for a long time. Old batteries can begin to leak and damage the
device.

Alarm

When the red indicator LED [4] lights up continuously, the batteries
are low. In that case, replace the batteries immediately.

1. Remove the screw from the bottom of the alarm cover and take

off the cover [A].

2. Insert 3 identical 1.5 V AA batteries according to the polarity

markings inside the battery compartment.
When the last battery is inserted, the alarm beeps to indicate
that the batteries are installed correctly.

3. Place the cover back and fix it with the screw.
Caution! Each time you replace the batteries, you must reconnect

the alarm to the remote control.

Remote Control

1. Remove the screws from the back of the remote control and

take off the cover [B].

2. Insert 3 identical LR44 batteries according to the polarity

markings inside the battery compartment.

3. Place the cover back and fix it with the screws.

6.2 Connecting the Alarm and the Remote Control

After inserting batteries, point the remote control to the alarm and
push the ARM button [13] twice. The alarm's LED [4] lights up to
indicate that the connection between alarm and remote control is
established.
To clear a connection between an alarm and a remote control, take
out the batteries from the alarm. The connection is deleted
automatically.
Caution! Each time you replace the batteries, you must reconnect
the alarm to the remote control.

6.3 Installing a microSD Card

Refer to the illustrations on page 5 of this manual.
Note: it is recommended to use a formatted microSD card.
To install/remove a microSD card, proceed as follows:

1. Slide the card slot cover [8] as indicated [C] to unlock it.

2. Lift the cover [D].

3. Insert a microSD card (not included) in the card slot [F].

4. Close the cover [G] and slide it as indicated [H] to lock it.

5. To remove the SD card, slide the card slot cover [8] as

indicated [I] to unlock it.

6. Lift the cover [J].

7. Take out the microSD card.

6.4 Setting the Date and Time

To set the date and time in the alarm (for a correct timestamp on the
recorded video files), connect the alarm to your pc via the USB
port [7] and the included USB cable. The alarm automatically copies
the date and time from your pc.

6.5 Installing the Alarm

You can use the alarm free-standing on a horizontal surface, or you
can attach it to a wall. To mount against a wall, proceed as follows:

1. Remove the back cover from the alarm and screw it to the wall

at 1.0–1.5 m above the ground [M].

2. Click the body of the alarm into place on the back cover and fix

it with the screw.

7. Operation
Arming and Disarming the Alarm

 To arm the alarm, press the ARM button [13] on the remote

control. The alarm plays a confirmation tune to indicate that
arming is successful. Note that the alarm is only activated after a
delay of 30 seconds, to allow you to leave the area without
triggering the alarm.
When the alarm detects motion, the siren goes off and the camera
starts recording video after a delay of 5 seconds. These 5 seconds
allow you to enter the area again and disarm the alarm before it
goes off. For each motion detection, the camera records a
30 second video file.

 To disarm the alarm, press the CLR button [14] on the remote

control.

Muting the Alarm

If you want to mute the siren, proceed as follows:

1. Press the CLR button to disarm the alarm.

2. Remove the alarm body from the wall and take out the

batteries.

3. Press and hold the Delete/Mute button [9] and place the

batteries back.

4. Then release the Delete/Mute button. The siren is now muted.

5. Place the alarm back on the wall.

When the siren is muted and video files have been recorded, the
LED [4] flashes to indicate that there are video files available. To
stop the LED from flashing, take the alarm from the wall and press
the Delete/Mute [9] button.

Viewing Recorded Video Files

To view recorded video files, proceed as follows:

1. Press the CLR button to disarm the alarm.

2. Connect the alarm to your pc via the USB port [7] and the

included USB cable.

3. On the pc, look for the removable drive that represents the

camera.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem: I installed the batteries, but the alarm did not beep.
Solution: Make sure that the batteries are installed correctly
according to the polarity markings in the battery compartment.

Problem: The alarm does not arm.
Solution: Make sure that the batteries are installed correctly; that
the cover is fixed in place correctly; and that the indicator LED [12]
on the remote control lights up when pressing the arm or disarm
buttons.

Problem: The red LED is on.
Solution: The batteries are low. Replace the batteries immediately.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

Houd dit toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen en
onbevoegden.

Gebruik het toestel enkel binnenshuis. Bescherm dit
toestel tegen regen, vochtigheid en opspattende
vloeistoffen.

3. Algemene richtlijnen

Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie
achteraan deze handleiding.
 Dit systeem kan een waardevolle bescherming zijn voor uw huis

en eigendom indien het juist gebruikt wordt. Toch kan dit systeem
geen volledige beveiliging bieden tegen inbraak of roof. Daarom
kan Velleman nv niet verantwoordelijk worden gesteld voor
eventuele verliezen en schade.

 Bescherm het toestel tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.
 Bescherm het toestel tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht

tijdens de bediening.

 Richt de camera nooit naar de zon of naar andere weerkaatsende

objecten.

 Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat

gebruiken.

 Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan

het toestel. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft
aangebracht aan het toestel, valt niet onder de garantie.

 Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie

vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.

 De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde

richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de
verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier
rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

 Er zijn geen door de gebruiker vervangbare onderdelen in dit

toestel, behalve de batterijen. Voor onderhoud of
reserveonderdelen, contacteer uw dealer.

 Installeer en gebruik dit toestel NIET voor illegale praktijken en

respecteer ieders privacy. Respecteer de plaatselijke wetgeving bij
het installeren van een alarmsysteem. Neem eventueel contact op
met de plaatselijke autoriteiten.

4. Eigenschappen

Basis alarmsysteem met geïntegreerde PIR-sensor en camera. De
PIR-sensor schakelt in van zodra iemand de ruimte binnenkomt en
de camera neemt de beelden op. U kunt het alarm in- en
uitschakelen met de IR-afstandsbediening. In standby-modus levert
het zonnepaneel stroom. De batterij verbruikt alleen energie bij
alarmactivering en video-opname.

 alarmactivering: bewegingsdetectie via PIR-sensor
 afstandsbediening, om het alarm in en uit te schakelen
 camera: video-opname start bij na bewegingsdetectie
 zonnepaneel verlengt de levensduur van de batterijen
 130 dB-alarmsignaal
 MUTE-modus: het alarmsignaal kan uitgeschakeld worden
 snelle en gemakkelijke installatie.

6. Installatie

6.1 Batterijen plaatsen/vervangen

Waarschuwing! U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het
vuur gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen
alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de
plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd batterijen uit het bereik
van kinderen.

Opgelet! Verwijder de batterijen als de toestellen gedurende een
langere tijd niet gebruikt worden. Oude batterijen kunnen lekken en
het toestel beschadigen.

Alarm

Wanneer de batterijen leeg zijn, blijft de rode led [4] branden. In dit
geval, vervang de batterijen onmiddellijk.

1. Verwijder de schroef aan de onderkant van de behuizing en

verwijder het deksel [A].

2. Plaats 3 identieke 1,5 V AA-batterijen in het batterijvak volgens

de polariteitaanduidingen.
Het alarm laat een geluidssignaal horen wanneer de laatste
batterij is geplaatst.

3. Plaats het deksel terug en bevestig deze met de schroef.
Opgelet! Telkens u nieuwe batterijen plaatst, moet u het alarm

opnieuw koppelen aan de afstandsbediening.

Afstandsbediening

1. Verwijder de schroeven aan de achterkant van de

afstandsbediening en verwijder het deksel [B].

2. Plaats 3 identieke LR44-batterijen in het batterijvak volgens de

polariteitaanduidingen.

3. Plaats het deksel terug en bevestig deze met de schroeven.

6.2 Het alarm en de afstandsbediening koppelen

Na het plaatsen van de batterijen, richt de afstandsbediening naar
het alarm en druk tweemaal op ARM-knop [13]. De led [4] op het
alarm licht op om aan te geven dat het alarm en de
afstandsbediening verbonden zijn.
Verwijder de batterijen uit het alarm om de verbinding tussen het
alarm en de afstandsbediening te verbreken. De verbinding wordt
automatisch gewist.
Opgelet! Telkens u nieuwe batterijen plaatst, moet u het alarm
opnieuw koppelen aan de afstandsbediening.
