4. Features

This basic home alarm system has a vibration and magnet sensor. The magnet sensor can be installed on a door or window. A solar panel provides power during standby. The battery power is only used during an alarm trigger.

6. Installation

6.1 Installing/Replacing Batteries

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

Warning!

Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as

they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge nonrechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

Caution! Remove the batteries from the device if it will not be used for a long time. Old batteries can begin to leak and damage the device. When the red indicator LED [2] lights up continuously, the batteries are low. In that case, replace the batteries immediately.

1. Remove the screw from the bottom of the alarm cover and take

off the cover [A].

2. Insert 3 identical 1.5 V AAA batteries according to the polarity

markings inside the battery compartment. When the last battery is inserted, the alarm beeps to indicate that the batteries are installed correctly.

3. Place the cover back and fix it with the screw. Caution! Each time you replace the batteries, you must reprogram

the security code.

6.2 Programming the Security Code

The default security code is 1234. It is recommended to modify this code at the first use. Follow these rules:

• The code must be 4 digits long.

• The first digit cannot be 4.

• The first three digits cannot be 111 or 222.

To program the security code, proceed as follows:

1. Type the default security code (1234) using the keypad [3]. The

LED [2] flashes.

2. Within 30 seconds, type a new 4-digit code. The LED flashes

three times to indicate that the new code is set successfully. The

alarm returns to the disarmed mode. Note: if you type an invalid code, or if you do not complete the procedure within 30 seconds, the code is not modified and the alarm goes into disarmed mode. Caution! Each time you replace the batteries, you must reprogram the security code.

6.3 Installing the Alarm

You can mount the magnetic sensor on a door or window, and the alarm on the door or window frame [B]. The sensor is fixed with double-sided tape [C], the alarm can be fixed either with screws or double-sided tape. Take the following into account:

• When using double-sided tape, make sure that the mounting

surface and the devices are dry, clean, and grease-free.

• The distance between sensor and alarm is max. 10 mm when the

door or window is closed. You can install the sensor on either side of the alarm.

To install the alarm, proceed as follows:

1. Mount the alarm on the frame of the door or window. For screw

mounting: unscrew the back cover from the alarm. Use the

holes in the back cover to screw it to the mounting surface.

Place the alarm back on the cover and fix the cover with the

screw.

2. Use double-sided tape to fix the magnetic sensor [4] to the door

or window within 10 mm from the alarm.

7. Operation Arming and Disarming the Alarm

To arm/disarm the alarm, proceed as follows:

• To arm the alarm, press 4 on the keypad. The alarm emits a

confirmation tone to indicate that arming is successful. Note that the alarm is only activated after a delay of 30 seconds, to allow you to leave the area without triggering the alarm. When the alarm detects vibration or when the magnetic contact is broken (the door/window opens), the siren goes off after a delay of 5 seconds. These 5 seconds allow you to disarm the alarm before it goes off.

• To disarm the alarm, type the security code.

Activating/Deactivating the Vibration Alarm

If the vibration alarm is triggered unwantedly (for example in areas with heavy traffic that cause vibrations), you can deactivate it. Note: The vibration alarm is activated each time you replace batteries. Remember to deactivate it if necessary. To deactivate the vibration alarm, proceed as follows:

1. Make sure that the alarm is disarmed.

2. Type the security code to enter the setting mode.

3. Type 111 to deactivate the vibration alarm. The LED flashes

3 times to confirm and the alarm returns to the disarmed mode.

4. Press 4 to arm the alarm. To reactivate the vibration alarm, proceed as follows:

1. Make sure that the alarm is disarmed.

2. Type the security code to enter the setting mode.

3. Type 222 to activate the vibration alarm. The LED flashes

3 times to confirm and the alarm goes into disarmed mode.

4. Press 4 to arm the alarm.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem: I installed the batteries, but the alarm did not beep. Solution: Make sure that the batteries are installed correctly according to the polarity markings in the battery compartment.

Problem: The red LED is on. Solution: The batteries are low. Replace the batteries immediately.

9. Cleaning

Wipe the casing regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Dry it immediately with a clean towel. Do not use alcohol or solvents. These may damage the casing and cause the device to malfunction.

3. Algemene richtlijnen

Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.

• Dit systeem kan een waardevolle bescherming zijn voor uw huis

en eigendom indien het juist gebruikt wordt. Toch kan dit systeem geen volledige beveiliging bieden tegen inbraak of roof. Daarom kan Velleman nv niet verantwoordelijk worden gesteld voor eventuele verliezen en schade.

• Bescherm het toestel tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.

• Bescherm het toestel tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht

tijdens de bediening.

• Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat

gebruiken.

• Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen aan

het toestel. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel, valt niet onder de garantie.

• Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie

vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.

• De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde

richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

• Er zijn geen door de gebruiker vervangbare onderdelen in dit

toestel, behalve de batterijen. Voor onderhoud of reserveonderdelen, contacteer uw dealer.

• Installeer en gebruik dit toestel NIET voor illegale praktijken en

respecteer ieders privacy. Respecteer de plaatselijke wetgeving bij het installeren van een alarmsysteem. Neem eventueel contact op met de plaatselijke autoriteiten.

4. Eigenschappen

Basis alarmsysteem met trillingssensor en magneetcontact. U kunt het magneetcontact aan een deur of raam bevestigen. In standbymodus levert het zonnepaneel stroom. De batterij verbruikt alleen energie wanneer een alarm geactiveerd wordt.

6. Installatie

6.1 Batterijen plaatsen/vervangen

Waarschuwing!

U mag

batterijen nooit doorboren of in het

vuur gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd batterijen uit het bereik van kinderen.

Opgelet! Verwijder de batterijen als het toestel gedurende een langere tijd niet gebruikt wordt. Oude batterijen kunnen lekken en het toestel beschadigen. Wanneer de batterijen leeg zijn, blijft de rode led [2] branden. In dit geval, vervang de batterijen onmiddellijk.

1. Verwijder de schroef aan de onderkant van de behuizing en

verwijder het deksel [A].

2. Plaats 3 identieke 1,5 V AAA-batterijen in het batterijvak volgens

de polariteitaanduidingen. Het alarm laat een geluidssignaal horen wanneer de laatste batterij is geplaatst.

3. Plaats het deksel terug en bevestig deze met de schroef. Opgelet! Telkens u de batterijen vervangt, moet u de

veiligheidscode opnieuw programmeren.

6.2 De veiligheidscode programmeren

De standaard veiligheidscode is 1234. Wijzig deze code bij het eerste gebruik. Volg deze regels:

• De code moet uit 4 cijfers bestaan.

• Het eerste cijfer mag niet "4" zijn.

• De eerste drie cijfers mogen geen "111" of "222" zijn. Om de veiligheidscode te programmeren, gaat u als volgt te werk:

1. Geef de standaard veiligheidscode (1234) in met het

codeklavier [3]. De led [2] knippert.

2. Geef binnen de 30 seconden een nieuwe 4-cijferige code in. De

led knippert 3 keer om aan te geven dat de nieuwe code correct

ingesteld is. Het alarm keert terug naar de inactieve modus. Opmerking: bij het ingeven van een ongeldige code of indien u de code niet binnen de 30 seconden hebt ingegeven, dan is de code niet gewijzigd en gaat het alarm over in inactieve modus. Opgelet! Telkens u de batterijen vervangt, moet u de veiligheidscode opnieuw programmeren.

6.3 Het alarm installeren

U kunt het magneetcontact aan een deur of raam bevestigen en het alarm op een deurpost of een raamkozijn [B] monteren. Het magneetcontact wordt met dubbelzijdige tape [C] bevestigd, het alarm kan met schroeven of met dubbelzijdige tape worden bevestigd. Houd rekening met het volgende:

• Wanneer u dubbelzijdige tape gebruikt, zorg ervoor dat het

montageoppervlak en de toestellen droog, proper en vetvrij zijn.

• De afstand tussen het magneetcontact en het alarm bedraagt

max. 10 mm wanneer u de deur of het raam sluit. U kunt het magneetcontact aan weerszijden van het alarm installeren.

Om het alarm te installeren, gaat u als volgt te werk:

1. Bevestig het alarm aan de deurpost of raamkozijn. Bevestiging

met schroeven: schroef de achterkant van de behuizing los.

Gebruik de gaten in de achterkant van de behuizing om deze

aan het montageoppervlak te bevestigen. Plaats het alarm terug

op de behuizing en bevestig deze met de schroef.

2. Gebruik dubbelzijdige tape om het magneetcontact [4] aan de

deur of het raam te bevestigen op 10 mm afstand van het

alarm.

7. Gebruik Het alarm in- of uitschakelen

Om het alarm in-/uit te schakelen, gaat u als volgt te werk:

• Om het alarm in te schakelen, druk op 4 op het codeklavier. Het

alarm laat een bevestigend signaal horen om aan te geven dat het

ingeschakeld is. Het alarm wordt na 30 seconden ingeschakeld zodat u voldoende tijd hebt om de ruimte te verlaten zonder het alarm te activeren. Wanneer het alarm trillingen detecteert of als het magneetcontact verbroken is (deur/raam wordt geopend), gaat de sirene af na 5 seconden. Tijdens deze 5 seconden kunt u het alarm uitschakelen voordat het afgaat.

• Voer de veiligheidscode in om het alarm uit te schakelen.

Het trillingsalarm in-/uitschakelen

Indien het trillingsalarm ongewild geactiveerd wordt (bijv. door druk verkeer dat trillingen veroorzaakt), dan kunt u het uitschakelen. Opmerking: Telkens u nieuwe batterijen plaatst, wordt het trillingsalarm ingeschakeld. Vergeet niet om indien nodig het alarm uit te schakelen. Om het trillingsalarm uit te schakelen, gaat u als volgt te werk:

1. Zorg ervoor dat het alarm uitgeschakeld is.

2. Geef de veiligheidscode in om de instelmodus weer te geven.

3. Geef 111 in om het trillingsalarm uit te schakelen. De led

knippert 3 keer ter bevestiging en het alarm keert terug naar de

inactieve modus.

4. Druk op 4 om het alarm in te schakelen. Om het trillingsalarm opnieuw in te schakelen, gaat u als volgt te werk:

1. Zorg ervoor dat het alarm uitgeschakeld is.

2. Geef de veiligheidscode in om de instelmodus weer te geven.

3. Geef 222 in om het trillingsalarm in te schakelen. De led

knippert 3 keer ter bevestiging en het alarm gaat over in

inactieve modus.

4. Druk op 4 om het alarm in te schakelen.

8. Probleemoplossing

Probleem: De batterijen zijn geplaatst maar laat geen geluidssignaal horen. Oplossing: Zorg ervoor dat de batterijen correct geplaatst zijn in het batterijvak volgens de polariteitsaanduidingen.

Probleem: De rode led brandt. Oplossing: De batterijen zijn bijna leeg. Vervang de batterijen onmiddellijk.

9. Reiniging

Maak de behuizing geregeld schoon met een vochtige, niet pluizende doek. Droog het onmiddellijk af met een propere doek. Gebruik geen alcohol of oplosmiddelen. Dit zou de behuizing kunnen beschadigen en het toestel ontregelen.
