PTB220TS Barometer Case and Battery

Vaisala’s digital PTB220 Barometers are well suited for portable applications. They can be transported by normal surface and airmail, and the BAROCAP maintains its accuracy even under rough conditions.

With the PTB220TS, barometers can be converted into portable units to be used as traveling and transfer standards. The PTB220TS kit includes an oak case, a sealed lead acid battery, and recharging electronics. The PTB220 Barometer can be installed in the case at the factory.

Pressure Sensor

The oak case consists of an outer case that protects the barometer and an inner case in which the barometer is mounted. An integral valve keeps the pressure port closed during transport and open for measurement. The sealed lead acid battery is good for 12 hours of continuous use. It is normally recharged overnight, but it can also be recharged with a car battery.

The case can be ordered separately for installation with the customer’s existing PTB220 Barometer. The barometer must have the following features:

• 1, 2, or 3 pressure transducers

• class A accuracy

• local display

• RS232/485 serial interface
