Safety note
DANGER for children
• Swallowing batteries could be fatal. Batteries must be
stored out of reach of small children.
• Swallowing a coin cell can lead to choking. Consult a
doctor immediately.
CAUTION - damage to property
• Switch the device “OFF” before inserting the
batteries.
• Only use the specied battery type.
• Ensure correct polarity.
• Check the battery regularly for leaks.
• If the device is not used for long periods of time,
remove the batteries.
• Please remove empty batteries from the device.
• Never short-circuit the connection poles.
Commissioning
Before commissioning, remove the plastic strip inserted on
the rear side of the calculator.
Inserting/replacing the battery/batteries
1. Before inserting the battery/batteries, switch off the
device.
2. Open the battery compartment with a screwdriver
and insert 1 x 1.5 V LR1130 battery ensuring correct
polarity. Close the battery compartment correctly.

Press the CE button to correct the last digit entry. After you
have reached the result, press ON/C to reset the display to
0.
If you have entered one of the following calculator
functions (+, -, x, ÷) incorrectly, you can correct it by
immediately entering the correct function.
The calculator switches off automatically after approx. 7
minutes if no buttons are activated.

Troubleshooting
If the display is not working, proceed as follows:
1. Check if the battery is empty.
2. Check whether the battery is inserted with the correct
polarity.
The device contains sensitive electronic parts. It is therefore
possible that it is being disrupted by remote devices in the
immediate vicinity Mobile telephones, two-way radios, CB
radio equipment, remote controls and microwaves could all
cause disturbance. If error messages appear on the display,
remove these devices from the vicinity of the device.
Electrostatic discharge could lead to functional errors. If
such functional errors occur, remove the battery briey and
replace it again.
Cleaning and storage
Only use a dry and uff-free cloth for cleaning.
Disposal
Disposing of the device
Never dispose of the device in normal household
waste.
The device should be disposed of via an authorized
waste disposal company or your local waste disposal
organization. The valid regulations must be complied
with. If in doubt, contact your waste disposal
organization.

Disposing of the battery
Dispose of the battery before disposing of the device.
Old batteries must not be disposed of in household
waste. Return your used batteries to your dealer or
the designated returns point.
Disposing of the packaging
Dispose of all packaging components in an
environmentally friendly manner.
