Operation
Nail guns launch fasteners at very high velocities that can cause serious injury if proper safety
precautions are not followed. It is extremely important that you read and fully understand the
information in this section and all other safety warnings / recommendations and usage instructions
before using the equipment. • ENSURE THAT NO PART OF ANY HUMAN, ANIMAL OR CLOTHING IS
PLACED IN/NEAR THE AREA WHERE NAILS ARE FIRED OUT OF THE TOOL, REGARDLESS OF
WHETHER YOU THINK THE TOOL IS EMPTY OR LOADED WITH NAILS. • Use ONLY air hoses that are
rated in excess of 150% the maximum system air pressure. • Disconnect the tool from the air supply before
performing any tool maintenance, clearing a jammed fastener, moving the tool to another location, handing
the tool to another person, or making adjustments.
Air Supply
This tool is designed to operate on clean, dry, compressed air at regulated pressures between 70 and 100
PSI (4.8 to 6.9 Bar). The preferred air supply should include a filter, pressure regulator, and automatic oiler
located as close to the tool as possible (within 5m (15') is ideal).
All compressed air contains moisture and other contaminates that are detrimental to internal components of
the tool. An in-line filter and oiler will remove most of these contaminates and provide necessary lubrication
which will significantly prolong the life of the tool. If an in-line oiler is not available, place 10 to 15 drops of air
tool lubricating oil into the tool air inlet at the beginning of each workday.
Do not over-lubricate the tool. Excess oil will be vented with exhaust air when over-lubricated, which
could stain materials. Purge excess oil first before you begin nailing by unloading any fasteners from
the tool, then "firing" the tool several times.
The tool is equipped with a ¼" male NPT type "quick connector". The tool must always be connected to the
air supply with a coupling that allows all pressure in the tool to escape when the coupling is disconnected.
Loading Fasteners
Do not load fasteners of different lengths. • Do not load both staples and nails together.
1. Disconnect the tool from the air supply.
2. Pull out the magazine cover (A) until it locks in the fully
open position.
3. Place the fasteners into the magazine (B).
4. Make sure that the fasteners are placed correctly:
• Load staples over the rail (B) in the magazine.
• Load nails down one side of the rail (B), with the "L" part
of the head on the rail in the magazine.
5. Close the magazine cover until it locks in place.
6. Reconnect the tool to the air supply.

Pneumatic Floor Nailer / Stapler
Nailing and Stapling
1. Fit the floor boards together and ensure that they are snug – use the mallet as required.
2. Position the tool over the tongued edge of the floor board (X), pressing the board stop (A) against the
front of the floor board.
3. Put some downward pressure onto the tool to keep it steady. Ensure the board foot (B) is sitting flat on
the floor board.
4. Strike the activator (C) with the rubber mallet (do NOT use excessive
force; use ONLY a rubber mallet and strike with the soft end). The tool
will then drive the nail or staple in at 45°. The correct nail length for
various floor thickness is shown below.
Nailing Pre-Finished Flooring – The tool is designed for installing both unfinished and pre-finished
hardwood flooring. Care must be used however when installing pre-finished flooring to ensure that
the finish is not damaged by the tool. It is recommended that the tool be inspected for damage, especially
the board foot and tested on a sample section to be certain that the tool and the technique used do not mar
the finish. This procedure should be followed before each job due to variations in flooring.
Removing Jammed Fasteners
You must remove jammed fasteners before using the tool any further, otherwise personal
injury and/or damage to the tool may result.
A fastener jam will prevent the tool from operating normally. To remove jammed fasteners:
1. Disconnect the tool from the air supply.
2. Open the magazine, and remove the fasteners.
3. For the jammed fasteners, attempt to remove them with pliers or similar, however, do not use excessive
force. If it is not possible to remove the fasteners directly:
a. Remove the 2 screws (A) securing the board stop (B) using a 4mm Allen key.
b. Remove the 3 screws (C) securing the fastener drive plate (D) using a 5mm Allen key. With the
fastener drive plate loose it should be possible to easily remove the jammed fasteners.
4. After removing the jammed fasteners, re-install the fastener guide plate and board stop, then load the
magazine and re-connect the tool to the air supply.

servicing. • If the tool has a problem, do NOT use it again until it has been repaired and inspected. All repairs
must be performed at an authorised service centre.
Daily Cleaning / Inspection
• Wipe the exterior of the tool clean and inspect for wear or damage. Use non-flammable cleaning
solutions, if necessary. Do NOT soak the tool in any cleaning solution or liquid as this may damage
internal parts.
• Inspect all tool mechanisms before use, and ensure that the system is complete and functional; no loose
or missing parts, no binding or sticking parts.
• Keep all screws tight. Loose screws can cause personal injury and can damage the tool.
• If the tool is used without an in-line oiler in the air supply line, place 10 or 15 drops of the air tool
lubricating oil into the tool air inlet at the beginning of each workday.
Do not over-lubricate the tool. Excess oil will be vented with exhaust air when over-lubricated, which
could stain materials. Purge excess oil first before you begin nailing by unloading any fasteners from
the tool, then "firing" the tool several times.
