TP-Link KP200 Installation Guide

Let’s get started with your new Smart Outlet.
Safety First
Before installing, servicing or removing the Smart Outlet, read and follow all safety precautions including the following:
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FIRE. Turn OFF power supply at the circuit breaker or fuse. Use a non-contact voltage tester to ensure the power is off.
• The Smart Outlet must be installed and used in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC) or your local electrical code. If you are unfamiliar with these codes and requirements, or are uncomfortable performing the installation, consult a qualified electrician.
• Do not install the Smart Outlet with wet hands or when standing on wet or damp surfaces.
• Install only in a suitable UL Listed outlet box (suitable dimensions: W > 2.83in./72mm, H >
1.81in./46mm, D > 3.15in./80mm).
STEP 1
Download & Install Kasa App
Get the Kasa Smart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
STEP 2
Add Your Device
Tap the button in the Kasa app and select
Smart Outlet.
STEP 3
Label the Old Wires
Smart Wi-Fi Power Outlet www.tp-li nk.com
STEP 4
Connect the New Wires
Disconnect the old wires and connect the new wires to the connections of Smart Outlet with the wire labels.
Note: Straighten and align the ends of wires from Smart Outlet and your outlet box. Fully tighten them and ensure that no conductor is exposed.
STEP 5
Double-Check the Wires
Check all of the wires and give them a light tug while holding the wire nut to make sure
they are secure.
STEP 6
Install Smart Outlet
Gently fold all of the wires back into the wallbox. Secure Smart Outlet with the screws provided.
STEP 7
Attach the Wallplate
With your Smart Outlet secured, snap on the provided wallplate. Follow Kasa instructions to connect it to your home network.
