connection of home theater components to the television.
Video Up-conversion displays a pure digital signal at both 720p or 1080i, matching the resolution of the HDTV monitor and
thus eliminates signal degrading A/D-D/A conversion.

Home Theater Certified allows playback of DivX, AVI and MPEG4 ().ASF) compressed files downloaded from the
internet from a personal computer and stored on a CD-R/RW.
HD JPEG will provide the ability to view Megapixel images in their enhanced resolution when using HDMI and an
HDTV display device.

VIDEO
High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI™) - HDMI™ (High-Definition
Multimedia Interface) is the first industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital
audio/video connection. HDMI™ provides the best interface between a DVD
player and compatible products, such as a digital television (DTV). When
matched with a compatible TV, this single interconnecting cable combines:
Multi-channel audio, uncompressed digital video, intercommunication between
devices and simple control Protocols. This single cable connection ensures that
all signals remain in their pure digital form and secure by use of High Definition
Copy Protection (HDCP) regardless of signal output resolution.
Video Upconversion - 720p/1080i - HDMI™ can support uncompressed
digital video up to HDTV level resolution. Thus, the player makes use of this
conduit by up-converting the standard DVD picture resolution to nearly HDTVquality with output resolutions of 720p or 1080i. This makes a DVD player with
an HDMI™ connection the perfect match for today's digital televisions. As this
conversion is performed in the player, the signal remains free from excessive
digital-to-analog conversion artifacts.

Home Theater Certified DivX Home Theater Certified allows playback
of DivX (.div/.dvix). AVI and MPEG4 (.ASF) compressed files downloaded from
the internet from a personal computer and stored on a CD-R/-RW.The support
extends to full ver sion of DivX 3.11, 4.12 and 5x as well as DivX PRO, with
video resolutions of 720 x 480 @30 fps and 720 x 576 @25 fps. Audio support
for a multitude of formats including: MP3, AC-3 (2 ch and 5.1 ch), WMA,
LCPM, ADPCM and Ogg Vorbis.
HD JPEG – Thanks to a specialize chipset (MPEG Decoder and Scaler) and
the HDMI™ interface with an HDTV display, Megapixel JPEG images are displayed in their enhanced resolution, versus the image compression that takes
place with component interfaces.
AUDIO
WMA & MP3 Playback - Recordable Compact Discs (CD-R & CD-RW)
with music stored in either the Windows Media™ Audio or MP3 file formats
are compatible with the DVD player.

Output - Use the single RCA-type or optical output jack to send signature
multi-channel audio to an audio/video receiver with a compatible input.
CONVENIENCE
Digital Picture Zoom - This interactive DVD feature allows the user to select
an area of the picture to zoom in on and magnify it. Enhanced digital
processing during moving video or freeze-frame playback produces
superior color fidelity and resolution, even when zoomed in. Also can
be used to expand letterbox-only films to increase the viewable area
on-screen.
Screen Saver - The player can be set to automatically go into a screen saver
mode after several minutes of inactivity. While in this mode, the Toshiba DVD
logo appears and “ping-pongs” across the screen. Many movies will display the
main movie menu indefinitely after the movie has ended. If left onscreen for a
prolonged period, burn-in on the TV screen may result without this feature.
