CS3.7
A revolutionary breakthrough in driver
design that advances the sonic state-of-the art
awaits your ears with the CS3.7. Its entirely
original midrange driver provides exquisitely
pure sound reproduction without a trace
of audible resonances or cavity diffraction
distortions. The all-new 1-inch high-output
tweeter and low distortion 10-inch woofer
are combined with an advanced cabinet
incorporating an aluminum cap and bafe,
and curved 15-layer cabinet walls for
extreme rigidity. The result is unprecedented
purity, naturalness, and realistic sound.

conventional speaker designs, the
CS2.4 offers a new perspective in
loudspeaker performance for both
music and movies. The CS2.4 utilizes
a unique, innovative mid-tweeter array
that provides very high-quality 3-way
performance while requiring only a
2-way speaker’s electronic crossover
and driver magnet systems. This design
technique provides a much higher level
of performance than other speakers in

THIEL’s revolutionary SmartSub® Technology effectively eliminates the room interaction, main speaker integration, and distortion problems that traditionally plague subwoofers. THIEL’s unique, patented bass solutions deliver extraordinarily seamless, clean, and deep low-frequency
reproduction for the most realistic home theater or music experience possible. SS1, SS2, SS3, and SS4 subwoofer systems use all-THIEL designed high output, low distortion drivers to provide exceptionally deep, uniform, and dynamic bass down to 10 Hz for any size room. Each is easily adjusted to eliminate wall interaction problems for any room placement without the use of complicated measurements or equipment using THIEL’s patented room correction technology. The result
is perfectly balanced bass regardless of placement. In addition, unique sub amplier circuitry
eliminates compression distortion to greatly improve dynamics and tonal response. The SS2,
SS3, and SS4 are powered by an internal 1000 watt high-efciency switching mode amplier,
and 500 watts for the SS1.

Passive Crossover
The innovative SmartSub SI 1 Integrator pro-
vides near-perfect integration between a THIEL
subwoofer and virtually any pair of “main”
loudspeakers. The Integrator takes the guess-
work out of subwoofer crossover adjustments
for sonic performance as balanced and seam-
less as a full-range speaker. THIEL Passive Sub-
woofer Crossovers allow a THIEL subwoofer
to perfectly blend its output to augment the
output of select main THIEL speakers.
MCS1
Front/center/surround shelf or
stand loudspeaker
Both authoritative and masterful,
the 3-way MCS1 is ideally suited for
main, center, or rear channel use, and
is designed to provide outstanding performance regardless of vertical,
horizontal, or stand placement. Its high
efciency, low distortion, and very high
output combined with magnetic shielding
make it perfect for high performance
home theater applications or for use in the
world’s best music systems.

SCS4
Front/center/surround shelf
or stand loudspeaker
Small yet extremely versatile. Unassuming
visually yet a sonic force. The SCS4 is a
2-way loudspeaker that performs equally
well as an excellent full-range stereo
pair, surround-sound, or center channel
speaker. Its coaxially-mounted drivers
and aluminum bafe contribute to the
SCS4’s outstanding delity making it as
comfortable in demanding music systems
as it is playing movie soundtracks or
background music.

Innovative THIEL Design & Engineering
Driver Technology
CS3.7 woofer
• Unique short coil/long gap motor systems
dramatically reduce distortion for very clear and open reproduction.
• Very rigid aluminum diaphragms eliminate resonance coloration for exceptionally uniform frequency
response.
• Long excursion, long gap motor structures provide
greater output capability for realistically high sound listening levels.
• Copper is used for magnetic eld stability and
reduced voice coil inductance to greatly reduce distortion from secondary effects.
• Heavy cast chassis, very large magnet assemblies, and very high quality parts throughout contribute to high
performance.
Cabinet Construction
• 1-inch thick or multi-layered ply cabinet walls and extensive internal bracing signicantly increase
wall stiffness for much greater clarity and spatial performance.
• Front bafe vibrations
excited by driver motions are greatly
reduced by using bafes
of machined aluminum or up to 3-inch thick
berboard.
• Bafes are angled to
provide proper driver time performance and use rounded edges to greatly reduce unwanted diffraction effects.
• Very high precision
custom designed CNC (computer numeric controlled) machining centers achieve cabinet cut
tolerances of .2 of one millimeter for an exacting t
and structural integrity.
CS2.4 cabinet
Crossover Technology
CS2.4 crossover network
• Special synthesized rst-order crossover systems
are designed to provide phase coherent transitions between the very wide bandwidth drivers for much greater realism, especially in the areas of spatial performance and clarity. Instruments and voices seem to occupy real space and have a much greater
”live“ quality to them.
• THIEL uses extensive electrical compensation in the crossovers to correct frequency response
irregularities. This ensures that the exact timbre of
each specic sound is true to the original.
• THIEL’s crossovers use only the highest quality
components. Low distortion polypropylene and custom-made polystyrene capacitors, and air-core inductors wound with high purity copper are used for the lowest distortion.
“ [THIEL speakers] are the result of sweat, artistry, engineering, cleverness, and
unwavering dedication to a common goal...some of the world’s most
supernatural sounding speakers”
