The CS3.6’s three-way design uses
numerous advanced techniques in
driver, cabinet, and crossover design to

A double cone diaphragm midrange
driver, a 10-inch aluminum diaphragm
woofer and a 1-inch metal dome
tweeter are combined with premium
components and superb attention to
construction detail to provide excellent
clarity, superior imaging, life-like
dynamics, and extremely accurate tonal

• A 3-inch thick baffle, 1-inch thick
cabinet walls, and extensive internal
bracing greatly increase cabinet
stiffness. By reducing unwanted
vibration, both clarity and imaging
performance are improved.

The 4.5-inch midrange
uses our unique
double-surface, air
core diaphragm, which
practically eliminates
cone break-up and the
storage of unwanted
energy, to provide
exceptionally clear
response. A short coil/
long gap magnet
system is used for
extremely low
distortion. Very rigid
cast magnesium
chassis are used in all
THIEL drivers to
improve clarity.
Woofer
The 10-inch woofer employs an extremely rigid
aluminum diaphragm to eliminate cone
resonances and unwanted energy storage. A
specially shaped magnetic pole further reduces
distortion, and heavy copper rings maintain an
ultra-stable
magnetic
field. In
conjunction
with the bass
radiator—
which
eliminates
bass port
resonances
and noise—
the result is
remarkably
clean bass
reproduction.
