Only incandescent bulbs may be used. The stairwell lighting can be switched on by e.g. a motion detector or a pushbutton (with glow lamp load) via the terminal S. Maximum line length at terminal S = 250 m.

2.1 Setting the time The relevant times are displayed during adjustment. a) Total time in minutes (05… 99) for 100% lighting

2.3 Operation for the user a) Standard use
Press the switch in the stairwell 1x = for a set time (100%)
Switch off prewarning = signal effect!
When the set time has expired, e.g. 6 minutes, the lighting is reduced by approx. 50%. After the set dimming time, e.g. 30 seconds, the lighting is switched OFF.
Note: The stairwell light can be switched back on again during these periods:
• briefly press any switch in the stairwell
• activate the motion detector (if present)

b) Caretaker function
Press the switch in the stairwell for approx. 3 seconds = for 1 hour (100%)
Note: If any key is pressed in the stairwell during this hour,
you switch OFF the lighting immediately.
2.4 Diagnosis
a) Pushbutton in the stairwell – monitoring function
If one of the switch in the stairwell is pressed, the display appears. If this symbol is constantly displayed, one or more switch may be blocked or possibly faulty.

The number of operating hours indicates whether and when it seems appropriate to replace the lamp.
c) Lighting ON
If one of the keys in the stairwell/motion detector or the manual switch on the unit has been pressed, the symbol in the display should be visible. If the lighting in the stairwell still OFF, there may be an installation fault or a problem with the unit, or all lamps are defective.
