2. Putting into operation/use
2.1 Setting the operation time/operating state
The operating time is displayed during setting.
Key + 05; 1 … 995minutes
Key – 995; 99 … 05minutes

2.2 Operation for the user
Key in stairwell
Press 1x, approx. 1 sec.
= for the operation time
Press 1x, approx. 3 sec.
= for one hour
If the key is pressed again for approx. 1 sec. during this period, you switch off the lighting immediately.
Only for units with OFF prewarning.
Approx. 20 seconds before the end of the set time, the lighting is switched off for a very.
brief time. The user can switch ON the lighting again with any key in the stairwell.
The lighting is again activated for the set operating time.

2.3 Diagnosis
a) Key check
If one of the keys in the stairwell is pressed, appears in the display.
If this symbol is continuously displayed, one or more keys may be blocked or even
defective.
b) Lamp ON period/operating hours (displayed value x 100)
Begin: Press keys + and – simultane
Example: 0
5
= 50 hours
1 = 100 hours
15= 150 hours etc.
End: Press + or – once current switching state
The number of operating hours is an indication of whether and
when it seems appropriate to change the lamps.
c) Lighting ON
If one of the keys in the stairwell or the hand switch on the unit has been pressed,
the symbol in the display must be visible. If the lighting in the stairwell is still OFF,
there may be an installation fault or all lights are faulty.
