Touch Tone Remote Control User Guide
INS225-3
Introduction
This guide describes the operating procedures for remotely controlling your alarm
system with a touch-tone telephone (this includes mobile and standard telephones).
This feature is only available on the Premier 816 Plus and Premier 832 intruder alarm
control panels.
Operation
Establishing a Connection with your Alarm System
1. From a touch-tone telephone, dial the number of your premises (the same
number that the alarm panel is connected to).
2. Wait until the panel has answered your call. You will hear a series of high-
pitched beeps for the first 4 seconds.
3. Press the [*] key on your telephone when you hear the beeps. The beeps will
stop and you will hear one more beep (this confirms that you are connected with
your alarm system).
4. If you hear a continuous tone after the beeps, then you have either not pressed
the [*] key quick enough or the phone you are using is not a touch-tone
telephone.
Menu [1] - Arm your Alarm System
1. Establish a connection with you alarm system.
2. From the touch-tone telephone enter your normal access code, if the code is
accepted you will hear a high-pitched beep.
3. Press the [1] key on your telephone. Two high-pitched beeps indicate that your
alarm system has been armed successfully. A low-pitched beep indicates that
the system is already armed or the system cannot be armed due to a fault etc.
4. Press the [#] key on your telephone to hang up or press [*] to return to the
start.
Menu [2] - Disarm your Alarm System
1. Establish a connection with you alarm system.

accepted you will hear a high-pitched beep.

system has been disarmed successfully. No beep indicates that the system is
already disarmed.
4. Press the [#] key on your telephone to hang up or press [*] to return to the
start.
