Utilization of the product
If you want to dispose of this product, do not mix it with general household waste. There is a separate collection system for used electronic products in accordance with legislation that requires proper treatment, recovery and recycling.

• The instruction manual contains important operating and maintenance instructions. For your safety, it is necessary to refer to the manual. Keep the manual for future use.
• Do not hit or drop the unit.
• Do not expose the unit to vibration, direct sunlight, too high or low temperatures or humidity.
• Do not disassemble the unit yourselves. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel

Power supply
Battery operation
• Open the battery compartment cover.
• Insert 6 x UM-2/LR14 batteries. Please observe correct battery polarities or the set will not work.
• Close the battery compartment cover.
This unit has a battery saver function.
If you wish to preserve the batter life use the switch (#20). The unit will not use the battery power which will enhance battery life. Please note that in this mode time settings and radio presets will be lost.
AC operation
• Before the first connecting of the appliance check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds the mains voltage in your home.
• Plug the corresponding end of cord into the AC socket on the rear of the set.
• Insert the plug into power supply.
Caution:
• When the set is only used with AC or is not used for 2 weeks or more, please remove the batteries, to avoid damage to the set from leakage of batteries.
• Always switch off the unit when not in use.
• Always unplug the appliance from power supply, when not using the device for a long time.
General operations
Digital clock
This unit has a built-in digital clock which is
displayed when the set is in the standy mode.
• Switch the unit to standby mode.
• Press and hold CLOCK SET, the display will show blinking 12 or 24 hour indications.
• Press TUNE+/- to choose and press CLOCK SET to confirm your selection.
• Press TUNE+/- repeatedly to set correct hour, confirm by pressing CLOCK SET. Follow the same procedure for minute setting.
Electronic volume control
• This unit uses an electronic volume control. To increase or decrease the loudness of unit, press respectively VOLUME UP/VOLUME DOWN buttons.

Radio operation
• Press the ON/STANDBY button to switch
the unit on.
• Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly
until the display shows FM.
• To improve radio reception, adjust the unit position. To further enhance reception, extend the telescopic antenna found at the rear of the unit.
• After tuning into a desired station, use FM MODE button to select MONO/STEREO mode. In cases of poor reception we recommend to use the MONO mode for better sound clarity.
Automatic scan and store
• Press and hold FM MODE, the unit will automatically scan all stations and store the first 30 found stations into the memory presets.
Manual frequency adjustment
• Press and quickly release the TUNE+ or TUNE- buttons to manually adjust the radio frequency one step at a time.
• When the desired station is found, it can be saved into one of the MEMORY positions.

Automatic frequency adjustment
• Press and hold the TUNE+ or TUNE­buttons to automatically seek the next available radio frequency.
• When the desired station is found, it can be saved into one of the MEMORY positions.

Radio memory
• After tuning into a desired station, it can be stored into one of the 30 available memory positions.
• Short press the MEM./PROG. button to go to memory setting mode.
• Press and release the MEM UP button to choose the desired memory storage position
you would like to store into (up to 30).
• Short press MEM./PROG. again to confirm selection. The display will stop flashing.
Recalling a saved memory station
• Press MEM UP button to find a saved
memory position.
• To erase a saved radio station, simply replace it with a new station in the same memory position.
Compact disc operations
Insertion and removal of discs
• When opening the CD-door, always ensure the disc is not in motion (not spinning) when you open the CD-door. Always press STOP button to stop the disc spinning first.
• Place a CD into the compartment with the label-side (printed side of disc) facing upwards. Press down in the center part of disc until the disc “locks” onto the center spindle.
• When the CD has been placed onto the center spindle, gently lower the CD-door downwards until it locks shut. The CD is now ready to be played.
• To remove a disc, follow the same procedure as described above, except to remove the CD instead of inserting it into the compartment, by placing one finger at the middle of disc (center spindle) & the other at the edge of the disc & gently pulling upwards.
Please make sure to always fold down
the handle before opening the CD door.
• Press CD button to enter CD mode.
• Put a disc into the CD compartment and close the CD door.
• The display will indicate “READ” for a few seconds and then start to play the first track.
• The display will indicate the current track number and playback time.

close the CD door.
• The LCD display will show the total
number of tracks after a few second.
Play/pause mode
• Press PLAY/PAUSE button to pause at any track when playing. Press PLAY/PAUSE button again to resume playing.
• To stop the disc, press STOP button. If you press PLAY/PAUSE button now the playback will start from first track.
Skip and search mode
• Press NEXT button once to skip to the next track.
• Press BACK button once to skip back to previous track.
• Press and hold BACK and NEXT buttons to start fast backward or forward playback until you find the passage to play from.
Repeat mode
• Press REPEAT button once for single track repeat playing.
• Press REPEAT button twice for repeat playback of current folder (if the disc contains folders).
• Press REPEAT button again for all tracks repeat playing.
• To cancel repeat play, press REPEAT button once again.
Program mode
• Up to 20 CD tracks or 99 MP3 tracks can be programmed for disc play in any order, including one and the same track. Before use, be sure to press STOP button.
• Press and hold PROGRAM button, the memory position number will show on the display.
• Select a desired track by using BACK and NEXT buttons.
• Press PROGRAM to confirm.
• Repeat the two last steps as described above to enter additional memories into the program if necessary.
• When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press PLAY/PAUSE button to play the disc or other storage device in the order you have programmed.
• To stop, press STOP button.
The program memory will be cleared only when the CD compartment is opened or turn off the CD or power supply.
• To turn off the CD player set FUNCTION
switch to OFF position.
Good quality sound is guaranteed only when playing licensed discs.
USB/SD operation
• This unit is equipped with a USB socket which can accept and play MP3 files stored on standard USB flash (compatible with USB version 1.1 & 2.0) up to 16 GBs.
• To use USB drives for MP3 playback insert the USB drive into the USB-port and press FUNCTION button to USB/SD position.
• If MP3 files are found the set will start playback of the first file.
• Playback control is same as for MP3 discs.
Always switch off the unit or change mode to “CD” or “RADIO” before removing a USB flash drive to prevent damage to your USB device.
Attention: Although this product is fully compatible with USB 1.1 & 2.0 standard formats, a small percentage of USB flash drives might not be readable, due to those device manufacturers non-compliance with the full (official) USB standards.
It may take up to 60 seconds to open and verify a large USB drive/SD card with many files.
General USB/SD notes
According to the USB 1.1/2.0 Standard, usage of a USB device with power current consumption exceeding 500 mA is not recommended without supplementary power supply. Failure to use supplementary power for

connected USB drives with power consumption exceeding this value as well as defective USB drives may cause mechanical or thermal changes of elements of this unit as well as failure of internal elements of the USB port. Such damages are not warrantee cases.
Warning: usage of external USB drives containing BIN files in the root directory may cause malfunction of the unit or damage to the software.
• This unit is equipped with a USB socket that can accept and play MP3 files stored on standard USB flash (2.0 version)/SD cards up to 16 GB.
• FAT and FAT32 file system is supported by this unit.
AUX jack
You can connect the audio output of an external device to this unit, to listen to the sound of that device through the speakers of this unit.
• To connect an external audio device, please use a standard audio cable with 3.5-mm­to-3.5 mm plugs (not included) to connect the headphone out or audio line-out of the external device to the AUX input socket of this unit.
• Press FUNCTION button repeatedly to select AUX mode; AUX icon will be displayed.
• Turn on the external device. You cannot control playback with the buttons of this unit except adjusting the volume.
Maintenance and care
Switch off the appliance, unplug from the power supply. The outside of the appliance can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
