Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, dass das Gerät nicht
beschädigt ist. Bei Beschädigung der
Anschlussleitung oder des Gerätes, letzteres
nicht benutzen, sondern von einem Fachmann(*)
überprüfen bzw. reparieren lassen. Eine
beschädigte Anschlussleitung muss von einem
Fachmann(*) ausgewechselt werden, damit jede
Gefahr gemieden wird.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur zu
Haushaltszwecken, wie in der
Bedienungsanleitung angegeben.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder
andere Flüssigkeiten, weder zum Reinigen, noch
zu einem anderen Zweck. Geben Sie das Gerät
niemals in die Spülmaschine.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe einer
Wärmequelle.
Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose,
bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien und
bewahren Sie es an einem trockenen Platz auf.

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Beschichtung nicht
abgekratzt wird, da ansonsten kleine Teile der
Beschichtung in die Nahrung gelangen.
Benutzen Sie einen Holzspatel oder einen
wärmebeständigen Plastikspatel, um die
Nahrung aus dem Gerät zu nehmen.
Ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, wenn
das Gerät nicht benutzt wird, da das Gerät
keinen An-/Aus-Schalter besitzt.

Bereiten Sie nur Nahrungsmittel zu, die zum
Backen und zum Verzehr geeignet sind.

INBETRIEBNAHME
• Während des ersten Gebrauchs entwickelt die Antihaftbeschichtung Qualm. Dieser Rauch
ist NICHT schädlich. Dennoch wird es angeraten, das Gerät erst 10 Minuten leer
funktionieren zu lassen mit dem Thermostat auf Maximalstellung.
• Vor dem ersten Gebrauch sind die Platten mit einem feuchten Tuch zu reinigen.
• Schließen Sie das Gerät und stecken Sie den Stecker in eine Steckdose.
• Drehen Sie den Thermostat zur gewünschten Stellung zwischen "MIN" und "MAX". Die rote
Betriebsleuchte und die grüne Kontrollleuchte werden aufleuchten und anzeigen, dass
das Gerät funktioniert und aufheizt.
• Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht während der Vorwärmung um keine Energie zu verschwenden.
• Sobald das Gerät die gewünschte Temperatur erreicht hat, erlischt die grüne
Kontrollleuchte. Jetzt können Sie mit dem Garen anfangen. Während des Gebrauchs wird
diese Kontrollleuchte regelmäßig an- und ausgehen. Das bedeutet, dass die
Betriebstemperatur geregelt wird.
• Achtung! Während des Gebrauchs werden die Backplatten heiß. Berühren Sie sie nicht!
• Öffnen Sie das aufgeheizte Gerät indem Sie den Griff hochheben und fetten Sie die
Backplatten leicht ein mit Butter, Margarine oder Speiseöl.
• Füllen Sie den Teig in die Aussparungen der unteren Backplatte und schließen Sie den
Deckel. Drücken Sie den Deckel einen Moment fest herunter, damit sich der Teig
gleichmäßig verteilt. Füllen Sie nicht zuviel Teig ein, dieser läuft ansonsten an den Seiten
heraus.
• Benutzen Sie während des Backprozesses den Griff um das Gerät von Zeit zu Zeit
umzudrehen, damit sich der Teig gleichmäßig verteilt und die beiden Seiten der Waffeln
gleichmäßig gebacken und gebräunt werden.
• Backen Sie die Waffeln je nach gewünschtem Bräunungsgrad. Wenn nötig, passen Sie die
Temperatur durch Drehen des Thermostats an.
• Wenn die Waffeln fertig sind, nehmen Sie diese bitte mit einem Holz- oder
Kunststoffspachtel heraus. Benutzen Sie keine scharfen oder spitzen Gegenstände und
keine Metallgegenstände, da ansonsten die Antihaftbeschichtung der Backplatten
beschädigt werden kann.
• Nach Beendigung des Backens drehen Sie den Thermostat zur Stellung "MIN", ziehen Sie
den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und lassen Sie das Gerät auf, damit die Backplatten
abkühlen können.
REZEPTE

1 Prise Salz
Eigelb vom Ei trennen. Eigelb, Milch, Mehl, Backpulver, Öl und Salz zusammen verrühren bis es
eine cremige Masse ergibt. Eiweiß steif schlagen und mit der cremigen Masse
vermischen/unterheben. Waffeln gold braun backen (etwa 2 bis 4 Minuten). Waffeln nach
Ihren Wünschen backen (ca. 2 bis 3 min.) und nach Ihren Wünschen garnieren.

reinigen.

Wir, die Team Kalorik GmbH bestätigen hiermit, dass unser Produkt den Anforderungen der VO
1275/2008/EG entspricht. Unser Produkt verfügt zwar nicht über eine Funktion zur Minimierung
des Verbrauchs, welche laut VO 1275/2008/EG das Produkt nach Beendigung der
Hauptfunktion in den Aus- oder Bereitschaftszustand versetzen soll, aber dies ist aus Sicht des
Gebrauchswertes nicht möglich, da dies die Hauptfunktion des Produktes so stark

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before
using the appliance, and always follow the safety
and operating instructions.
Important: This appliance can be used by children
over 8 years old and people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of
experience or knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning the safe use
of the appliance and the risks involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user

Make sure the appliance never comes into
contact with inflammable materials, such as
curtains, cloth, etc. when it is in use, as a fire
might occur.
Be careful not to scratch the special coating of
the baking plates, as you might get little pieces of
this coating into the food. Use a classical wooden
spatula or a heat-resistant plastic one.
Always unplug the appliance when it is not in
use, especially since it is not equipped with an
on-off switch.
Only use the appliance for food that is supposed
to be cooked.
Your appliance must never be switched on
through an external timer or any kind of separate
remote control system.
Please note: Should the symbol be indicated
on a certain surface, you need to be careful when
handling the product. This symbol means:
CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during
use.
The symbol is always put on the surface with
the highest temperature, however the other
metallic or non-metallic surfaces can also
become very hot during use and it is therefore
advisable to always handle them with care and if
possible with the help of isothermal gloves or

concerning the temperature of a certain surface it
is always preferable to protect oneself.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: after-sales
department of the producer or importer or any
person who is qualified, approved and competent to
perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all
danger. In case of need you should return the
appliance to this electrician.
USE
• Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will
disappear after a short time. Therefore it is recommended to let your appliance work
empty for 10 minutes before the first use with the thermostat on the maximum position.
• When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
• Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet.
• Select a temperature between "MIN" and "MAX" with the thermostat knob. The red pilot
light and the green ready light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on
and heating.
• Leave the appliance closed during preheating in order to avoid a waste of energy.
• The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. Now you can
start the baking process. During use, this ready light will come on and off regularly. This
simply means that the thermostat is regulating the appliance's temperature.
• Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get burned.
• Open the appliance by lifting the handle and lightly brush the baking plates with butter,
margarine or cooking oil.
• Pour the dough evenly into the notches of the bottom baking plate but not all the way to
the edges and close the appliance. Press the lid down for a moment to spread the dough
evenly on the baking plate. Do not overfill as dough might come out of the appliance.
• During the baking process, use the handle to turn the appliance upside down from time to
time in order to spread the dough evenly and to bake and brown both sides of the waffles
evenly.
• Bake until golden brown. If necessary, you can adapt the temperature setting during use
by turning the thermostat.
• When the waffles are ready, remove them with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use
any sharp or metallic objects, as this might damage the non-stick coating of the baking
plates.
• When you have finished baking, turn the thermostat to position "MIN", unplug the
appliance and leave it open so that the baking plates can cool down.

GOLD WAFFLES
250 g plain flour
½ l milk
2 eggs
6 tablespoons of oil
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of sugar
pinch of salt
Separate egg proteins from the yolks. Mix the egg yolks, milk, flour, baking powder, oil and salt
together until you will get creamy mixture. Beat the whites properly for a stiff foam and mix
together with creamy mixture. Bake until golden brown (about 2 to 4 minutes). Bake in waffle
maker to achieve the desired color (browned approx. 2-3 minutes) and serve with your favorite
toppings.

CLEANING
• Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down.
• Wipe the outside only with a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that no moisture, oil or
grease enters the cooling slots.
• Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with a paper towel or a soft cloth.
• Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will
damage the finish.
• You can take off the collecting tray (situated under the waffle maker) to clean it with
water.
• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and
electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the
rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing
waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.
ErP Declaration – Regulation 1275/2008/EC
We, Team Kalorik SA/NV, hereby confirm that our product meets the requirements of regulation
1275/2008/EC. Admittedly, our product does not dispose of a function to minimize the power
consumption, which should according to regulation 1275/2008/EC put the product in off or
standby mode after finishing the main function, but this is practically impossible, as it would
compromise the main function of the product so strongly, that using the product would no
longer be possible!
For this reason we always tell the customer in our instruction manual to unplug the appliance
immediately after use.
The user manual is by simple request also available in electronic format from the after-sales
service (see warranty card).

Vérifiez régulièrement l’état de votre appareil et
s’il est endommagé de quelque façon que ce
soit, ne l'utilisez pas mais faites-le vérifier et
réparer par un service qualifié compétent(*). Si le
câble est endommagé, il doit être obligatoirement
remplacé par un service qualifié compétent(*)
afin d’éviter tout danger.
N’utilisez l'appareil que pour des usages
domestiques et de la manière indiquée dans la
notice.
Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ou dans
tout autre liquide ni pour son nettoyage ni pour
toute autre raison. Ne le mettez jamais au lavevaisselle.
N'utilisez pas l'appareil près de sources de
chaleur.
La prise doit être débranchée avant de nettoyer
