Warranty Terms & Conditions
1. TEAC warrants to the original retail purchaser only, that this product is free from defects in material and
workmanship under normal domestic use and authorises free service during the warranty period at any TEAC Authorised Centre only. TEAC warranty only applies to products purchased, used and servic ed in Australia .
2. Subject to the terms herein, this warranty effectively covers the equipment as specified in the Warranty Periods
Table from the date of purchase.
3. All parts, except the external cabinet, are warranted as specified in Warranty Periods Table, and will be repaired or
replaced at the sole judgement of TEAC.
4. Normal customer maintenance as described in the owner’s manual is not covered by this warranty (such as cleaning
VCR heads etc.)
5. This warranty does not apply to equipment showing abuse, damage or that it may have been tampered with, altered
or repaired outside any TEAC Authorised Service Centre. If so, the warranty will be void.

6. In the event that this unit or any defective parts must be returned to TEAC Service Centres, a copy of this warranty
certificate and of your purchase receipt must be enclosed to be a valid warranty. Such equipment or parts must be sent freight prepaid to the nearest authorised TEAC Service Centre. After the repair, the unit will be available for collection by the owner or it will be returned to the owner. The warranty does not cover freight or insurance. In all cases of in-transit damages or loss, a claim must be filed against the carrier by the purchaser.
7. In home service will only be provided as part of this warranty if all the following conditions are met; a) The product is a Colour Television of 51cm screen size or over. b) The product is within the warranty period. c) The product is located within the normal service area of the local TEAC Service Provider.
In any other situation or circumstance, where an in home service call is made, a service fee will be charged by the Service Provider.
8. TEAC National Service Centre in home service and installation is available at competitive rates.
9. No one is authorised to assume any liability on behalf of TEAC or impose any obligation on it, in connection with
the sale of any equipment other than as stated in this warranty and outlined above.
10. In no event will TEAC be responsible or liable for indirect or consequential damages from interrupted operations or
other causes.
11. Warranty is not transferable to any subsequent purchaser if the product is sold during the warranty period,

Important User Guidance Information
In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from this TEAC LCD Display System, please first read this information carefully. With the TEAC LCD, you can be assured of a high quality LCD Display System with long-life and high reliability. To achieve images of exceptional quality, this TEAC LCD Display System incorporates state-of-the-art design and construction, as well as very precise and highly advanced technology.
Installation guidelines
The TEAC LCD Display System incorporates a very thin design. To ensure safety, please take the proper measures to mount or install the LCD Display with the recommend wall mounting bracket, in order to prevent the unit from tipping over in the event of vibration or accidental movement. This product should be installed by using only parts and accessories designed by TEAC. Use of accessories other than the TEAC stand or installation bracket may result in instability, and could cause injury. For custom installation, please consult the dealer where the unit was purchased. To ensure correct installation, experienced and qualified experts must install the unit. TEAC will not be held responsible for accident or damage caused by the use of parts and accessories manufactured by other companies. To avoid malfunction and overheating, make sure that the vents on the main unit are not blocked when installing to ensure proper heat emission: Distance the unit slightly from other equipment. Do not mount the unit flush against the walls, etc. As show below. Do not fit the unit inside narrow spaces where ventilation is poor. Do not cover with a cloth, etc. Clean the vents on the sides and rear of the unit to remove dust build-up, by using a vacuum cleaner set to its lowest suction setting. Do not place the product on a carpet or blanket. Using the unit without proper ventilation may cause the internal temperature to rise, and could result in possible malfunction. Any malfunction may occur due to an inappropriate installation site, improper assembly, installation, mounting. However, TEAC cannot be held responsible for such accidents or malfunction. CAUTION regarding Placement To maintain proper ventilation, be sure to leave a space around the unit (from the largest outer dimensions including projections) equal to or greater than: Left and right Panels : 10cm Rear Panel: 10cm Top Panel : 50cm The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation slots with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.

Important safeguards
To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
FIRE AND SHOCK PRECAUTIONS
Adequate ventilation must be provided to prevent heat build up inside unit. Keep the inside of unit free from foreign objects, such as hairpins, nails, paper, etc. Do not build the set into a bookcase or other enclosures in which it would be poorly ventilated. Do not place it on carpet or a bed as low ventilation holes could become obstructed. Do not set liquids, including flower vases and vessels filled with chemicals or water etc., on top of the unit as liquid could get inside the unit. If a hazardous object falls inside the TV set, unplug it immediately and call a qualified technician for removal. To avoid damage to the power cord, never allow heavy objects such as the TV set itself to be placed on the power cord. Keep cord away from heat radiating appliances. Do not allow cord to become knotted or tangled. Do not lengthen the cord. When removing the power plug from the socket, always hold onto the plug, never pull by the cord.
WARNING
Do not remove the back cover of the TV set. Accidental contact with high voltage components could result in electric shock. If your set emits smoke or produces a strange sound or smell, continued operation is dangerous.
Immediately turn off power and remove the power plug from the socket and contact your distributor. During vacation or other occasions when you will not be using the set for an extended period, remove the power plug from the socket.

Brief Operating Instructions
1.Connection
Connect the antenna lead or CATV cable or external equipments(such as Antenna, Cable TV, VCD, DVD, VCR, Set top box, etc) to the corresponding terminals or interface on the TV rear(please refer to the owner s manual of the equipment to be connected as well) and confirm that the signal source is available and works normally.

3.Switching on/off
1) Connect the main AC power outlet and turns on the power switch, the power indicator should light up in red. By pressing the standby power button at the side of the LCD TV or from the remote control will turn on the LCD TV, and the power indicator LED will light up in blue.
2) Press the POWER button on the unit or on the remote control to turn the unit ON, press again will
return the unit to standby mode.
4.Signal source selection

Selecting a location for the TV
1)Place the TV on the floor or on a sturdy platform in a location where light does not directly hit the screen.
2)Place the TV far enough from the walls to allow proper ventilation. Inadequate ventilation may cause overheating, which may damage the TV.
Connecting your TV
Caution:
1) Make sure that all other connections are done before plug in the main AC power lead.
2) Always turn off the main power of the wall outlet and the LCD TV when connect and disconnect the power cord.Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet, LCD TV When you are not used for a prolong period of time.
Connecting audio/visual equipment
Follow the instructions below to hookup a VCR, DVD, satellite receiver, camcorder, audio amplifier, etc. (Cables not included). Use the SOURCE button on your remote control to select signal sources.

Connecting to an Aerial / Cable antenna
To enjoy the terrestrial signal transmitted by your local TV station, you need an indoor or outdoor aerial (not supplied). Perfect picture quality requires a good signal and generally means that an outdoor aerial must be implemented. The exact type and location of the aerial will depend on your particular area. Consult your local dealer or service personnel for best advice. If you are a subscriber of your local Pay TV network, the outdoor or indoor aerial is not needed. Connect the equipment as follows:

Installing the remote control batteries
1. Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control.

2. Insert two AAA size(1.5V) batteries (included). Match the + and - signs inside the batteries to the signs on the battery compartment.

3. Close the battery cover.
Note:
1.Dispose of your batteries in a designated disposal area. Do not throw your batteries into fire.
2.Do not mix battery types or combine used batteries with new ones.
3.Remove dead batteries immediately to prevent battery acid from leaking into the battery compartment.
4.If you do not intend to use the remote control for a long time, remove the batteries.
5.The effective range of remote control is suggested in the figure below.

Once main AC power is applied and switched ON. Press the Power/Standby button on the side of the LCD TV or on the remote control to turn on the LCD TV, press again after 5 second will return the LCD TV to standby.
Selecting the signal source
1. Turn on the power of the connected video equipment.
2. Press SOURCE button to Toggle between input source. The input will switch as follows each time you press the source button.
3.The Video (13) and S-Video (14) input is sharing the same Audio input (12) socket.
4. The Component (17) and PC (18) input is sharing the same Audio input (16) socket.

Adjusting volume
Press VOL- or VOL+ on the remote control or on the TV to decrease or increase the volume. The segment of the indicator will increase or decrease.

Muting the sound
Press the MUTE button on the remote control to temporary mute the sound, press again to restore sound. The mute function is automatically turned off when any of the following buttons are pressed: POWER, VOL+.
Changing channels
To change the channel, you can
1.Press CH - or CH+ on the remote control or on the TV.
2.Press the channel number buttons (0-9).
1) To select a one-digit channel : Press the 1-9 button to select channel directly.
2) To select a two-digit channel : Press a button from 1-9 to select the first number, then press a button from 0-9 again to select the second number. For example, to select channel 28, press the 2 button first ,

2 will appear on the screen, and then press the 8 button; 28 will appear on the screen for one second.
3) To select a three-digit channel: Press the 1 button to select the first number, then press buttons from 0-9 successively to select the other two numbers. For example, to select channel 120, press the button 1,

1 will appear on the screen, then press the button 2 and the button 0 successively.

Displaying current channel number on screen
Press the DISPLAY button on the remote control once the current source and signal type will be display on the top right hand corner of the LCD TV screen. this fade out after 5 seconds, or your can press the DISPLAY button again to cancel the display.
Switching between two channels
Press the RECALL button will allows you to toggles between previous and current viewing channel.
Setting the child lock
Press the LOCK button to unlock lock or the TV. When the TV is locked, the screen will turn to black background, and nothing can be viewed unless you press
LOCK again to unlock it.
Setting the sleep timer
Press SLEEP on the remote control to display SLEEP TIMER screen. Press the SLEEP button repeatedly to
progressively set the sleep timer for longer periods of time starting with 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes,.......,
120 minutes and then back to 0 minute. Selecting Off turns the sleep timer off.

You can select the picture mode instantly from among three preset modes and one user-set mode. Press the P.MODE button on the remote control repeatedly to select the desired picture mode.

You can enjoy watching TV while listening to high-fidelity stereo sound with the A2 Stereo feature.
Press the STEREO button on the remote control to switch between MONO and STEREO.

3) Press the button to highlight and select the item you want to adjust.
4) Press the button to adjust the level.
5) The adjusted data is stored automatically as the USER picture preset. NOTE: Some picture settings will not be shown unless applicable to the input signal type. For example: Hue will only appear when the input video signal is NTSC.
6) Press OK button to confirm your selection and press OK again to exit from the menu.

Using the Geometry menu
Geometry
1) Press the MENU button to enter the main menu.
2) Press the button to highlight and select the item Geometry.
3) Press the button to highlight and select the item you want to adjust.
4) Press the button to change the value.
5) Press OK button to confirm your selection. Press OK again to exit from the menu.
H Clipping: The item allows you to adjust the width of the image in the horizontal direction. H Position: The item allows you to adjust the TV image in the horizontal direction.
V Position: The item allows you to move the TV image in the vertical direction. Auto Configuration: When the image looks abnormal, you can try to choose the Auto Configuration item
to correct the image automatically.
NOTE:
H CLIPPING and PHASE will only appear when the input signal are VGA or Component.

Cleaning and care
WARNING: TV sets use high voltage. Do not try to remove the cabinet back. Refer servicing to qualified
service technicians.
To clean the TV screen:
1) Please make sure that the main AC power is turn off and unplug from the main AC power outlet to avoid possible shock hazard.
2) Use a damp cloth or clean cellulose sponge to clean the TV screen and trim. Do not allow water to spill into the cabinet or damage may occur.
3) Wipe off any excess moisture with a clean dry cloth.
4)Polish the cabinet with a quality furniture polish to maintain the finish and appearance of the cabinet.
Caution: Never use strong solvents such as thinner, benzene, or other chemicals on or near the cabinet. These chemicals can damage the finish of the cabinet.
Customer important notice
1. For some reason if you found the LCD TV inoperative, please turn off then back on the main AC power and try again.
2. Displaying a still picture for a long time will cause image sticking when the input signal is interlace. The image sticking will disappear after a short while. When using an interlaced input signal, we recommend not to display a still image for a long time.
