5. Do not use this apparatus near water.

6. Clean only with dry cloth.

7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance

with the manufacturer’s instructions.

8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat

registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including ampliers) that produce heat.

9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or

grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. Conventions used in this manual

In this manual, we use the following conventions:

o This unit has two types of buttons that can be operated:

physical buttons on the top panel and buttons that appear on the touchscreen. The buttons on the top panel are identied as keys, for example, the “MUTE key”.

o The sets of 8 knobs beneath the touchscreens are called “LCD

knobs” and are identied from left to right as LCD knob 1 – LCD knob 8.

o SDHC/SDXC memory cards are referred to as “SD cards”.

o As necessary, additional information is provided under TIP,

Precautions for placement and use

o The operating temperature range of this unit is 0 - 40 °C. o Do not install this unit in the following types of locations.

Doing so could make the sound quality worse or cause malfunction.

Places with signicant vibrations Next to a window or in another location exposed to direct

sunlight Near heaters or other extremely hot places Extremely cold places Very humid or poorly ventilated places Very dusty places

o Do not block the ventilation ports, which dissipate heat, on

the back and sides of the unit.

o To enable good heat dissipation, do not place anything on

top of the unit.

o Do not place this unit on top of a power amplier or other

device that generates heat.

Notes about power supply

Use a dry soft cloth to wipe the unit clean. Do not wipe with chemical cleaning cloths, thinner, alcohol or other chemical agents. Doing so could damage the surface or cause discoloration.

About SD cards

This unit uses SD cards for recording and playback. This unit can use SD cards that are Class 10 or higher and

compatible with SDHC or SDXC standards. A list of SD cards that have been conrmed for use with this

unit can be found on the TASCAM website. Alternatively, please contact TASCAM customer support service.

Precautions for use

SD cards are delicate media. In order to avoid damaging SD cards, please take the following

precautions when handling them.

o Do not leave them in extremely hot or cold places. o Do not leave them in extremely humid places. o Do not let them get wet. o Do not put things on top of them or twist them. o Do not hit them. o Do not remove or insert them during recording, playback,

data transmission or other access.

o When transporting them, put them into cases, for example.

SD card write protection

This unit writes settings data for recording/playback folders on media. Since setting information cannot be written to writeprotected SD cards, settings for recording/playback folders will not be retained when the unit is restarted and performance will be otherwise aected.

o Insert the included power cord all the way into the AC IN

connector.

o Do not connect a power supply other than one that is

AC100V - 240V (50/60Hz).

o Hold the power cord by its plug when connecting or

disconnecting it.

NOTE

This product includes 3 types of power cords. Use the power cord that matches the type of power outlet being used.

Beware of condensation

Condensation could occur if the unit is moved from a cold place to a warm place, it is used immediately after a cold room has been heated or it is otherwise exposed to a sudden temperature change.

To prevent this, or if this occurs, let the unit sit for one or two hours at the new room temperature before using it.

Note about formatting

SD cards formatted by this unit are optimized to improve performance during recording. Use this unit to format the SD cards to be used with it. Errors might occur when recording with this unit using an SD card formatted by a computer or other device.

Turning the unit on and o

CAUTION

i Turn down the volume of the sound system connected to the

unit before starting up or shutting down the unit.

i Do not wear connected headphones when turning the unit

on and o. Loud noises could damage the speakers or harm your hearing.

Before turning the power on

1. Connect an included AC cord to the AC IN connector (W).

2. Connect input sources to the MIC/LINE input jacks (v), LINE

IN (BAL) jacks (b), ST IN 1 L/R jacks ()) and ST IN 2 L/R jacks ()).

3. Connect monitor speakers (powered monitor speakers or

an amp and speaker system) and other line level inputs to the analog output jacks (,) and MONITOR OUT L/R jacks (().

4. If necessary, connect a computer or other external device to

the USB port (%).

5. Make connections with the FOOTSWITCH ($) and GPIO (*)

connectors if using them.

NOTE

This product includes 3 types of power cords. Use the power cord that matches the type of power outlet being used.

Turning the power on

1. Use the POWER switch (Q) to turn the unit on.

2. Turn on connected monitor speakers (powered speakers or

an amplier and speaker system).

The LCD knobs can be used to control the parameters shown and selected on the touchscreen above them.

When LCD knobs can be used, the corresponding indicators light.

Turning the power o

1. Turn o connected ampliers and powered speakers.

2. Press the MENU key (q) to open the Menu Screen, and tap

the Save Current Settings item.

3. Tap the SAVE button to save the current settings to the

internal memory.

4. Use the POWER switch (Q) to turn the unit o.

CAUTION

Do not turn the power o or disconnect the power cord when the unit is operating (including recording, playing back, writing data to an SD card or USB ash drive, or saving settings to the internal memory). Doing so could cause proper recording to fail, recorded data to be lost, and sudden loud noises from monitoring equipment, which might damage the equipment, harm hearing or cause other trouble.

o The Home Screen, which appears immediately after the unit

is started, shows channel strips in a row on the touchscreen.

o Press the HOME key (0) on the top of the unit to open the

Home Screen.

o This enables showing and operating the main parameters of

multiple modules as well as showing various meters.

o Tap parameters to select them, and use the LCD knobs (2) to

adjust them.

This selects the tapped area, enabling setting using the LCD knobs (2).

o Press the SEL key (5, y) on the top of the unit or tap a graph

or selection frame on the Home Screen to open one of these screens.

o These enable showing and operating the mixer parameters

of the selected module as well as showing various meters.

adjust them.

o The Home Screen for a channel module (Fader/SEL/SOLO/

MUTE) is shown on the touchscreen above it.

o The MODULE Screen is shown on the touchscreen above the

SEL key (5) that was operated.

right touchscreen. Various system settings, for example, can be adjusted on this screen.

Restoring default settings

To restore all settings, including signal processing and routing, to their default values, use the and buttons at the top of the Menu Screen to select “P001 Initial Data”, and tap the RECALL button.

Output Routing

CH1-40

These input modules, which can be switched between mono and stereo, have 2 dynamics channels and EQ.

ST IN1-2

These input modules are specically for stereo and has EQ.

FX RTN1-4

These stereo input modules are specically for eect returns and have EQ.

Input connector assignments (input routing)

Input level adjustment (GAIN/PAD/+48V/Φ)

If ANALOG is selected as the input source, adjust the input level from the analog input jack.

If ANALOG is not selected as the input source, adjust the D.TRIM.

o When the selection frame is shown on the INPUT area (a

GATE/EQ/COMP

Tap the GATE/EQ/COMP area (b area in “Setting various parameters on the Home Screen” on page 13) on a module Home Screen to open the MODULE (GATE), MODULE (EQ) or MODULE (COMP) screen. On these screens, use the touchscreen (1) and LCD knobs (2) to make GATE/EQ/COMP settings. In addition, by opening the LIBRARY Screen using a LIBRARY button on a MODULE screen, preset data can be recalled and current settings can be stored.

SEND level adjustment

o Tap the SEND area (c area in “Setting various parameters

on the Home Screen” on page 13) on the Home Screen to show the selection frame, enabling adjustment of the SEND levels of the selected MIX1–22/FX1–4 buses using the LCD knobs (2).

o Tap a SEND/PAN button on the Home Screen to open the

MODULE (SEND/PAN) screen of the tapped channel module. On this screen, the SEND LEVEL as well as the ON/OFF, PRE/ POST and PAN/BAL settings of the selected channel module can be set. MODE and IMAGE can also be adjusted for stereo input modules. To switch the Pre/Post setting, tap the PRE/ POST SETTINGS button on the screen.

o Tap the button on the left edge of the Home Screen to

open the selection window for the bus shown in the SEND area (c area in “Setting various parameters on the Home Screen” on page 13).

MAIN L/R assignments

o The MAIN L/R bus assignment status is shown above and to

the right of the pan/balance setting in the PAN area (d area in “Setting various parameters on the Home Screen” on page

13) on the Home Screen.

o Tap the PAN area selection frame on the Home Screen to

open the MODULE (SEND/PAN) screen of the tapped channel module. Tap the L/R button at the bottom right of the screen to change the MAIN L/R bus assignment settings.

SEL keys

Press a channel section SEL key (5) or the master section SEL key (y) to open the MODULE Screen for the selected channel.

The 16 channel faders of Sonicview 16 and the 24 channel faders of the Sonicview 24 show the SEND levels to the following buses.

MUTE keys

SOLO settings can be changed on the MONITOR SETUP Screen. Open this using Menu Screen > Mixer Setup menu > Monitor/ Solo Setup item.

Parameters can be copied and pasted using the MODULE menu. Parameters that can be copied and pasted dier according to

the open MODULE screen. To copy or paste all the parameters of the selected channel

module, execute Copy MODULE or Paste MODULE in this MODULE menu.

In addition, on the FX LIBRARY Screen opened using the LIBRARY button on this screen, preset data can be recalled and current settings can be stored.

Snapshot functions

Snapshots are used to save and recall settings, including mixer signal processing and routing.

Storing and recalling snapshots

1. Press the MENU key (q) to open the Menu Screen.

Use the Snapshot selection buttons ( / ) at the top of the Menu Screen to select a number. Then, tap the RECALL button to recall the settings for the number shown, or tap the STORE button to save settings to the number shown.

2. Tap the snapshot number/name area at the top left of the

Menu Screen to open the Snapshot List Screen. Tap the list and select a slot. Then, tap the RECALL button to

recall the settings for that slot, or tap the STORE button to save settings to that slot.

Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble with the operation of this unit, please try the following before seeking repair.

If these measures do not solve the problem, please contact the store where you purchased this unit or TASCAM customer support service.

Power will not turn on

o Conrm that the power plug and other connectors are

inserted completely.

No sound is output

o Conrm that the input and output routings and bus

assignments are correct.

o Check connections with the monitoring system again. Check

the volume of the amplier as well.

o Conrm that the monitoring sources are correctly selected. o Are that channel faders raised to suitable levels? o Conrm that the MASTER fader is raised to a suitable level. o Conrm that the PHONES or MONITOR OUT volume is raised

to a suitable level?

o Are any of the channel MUTE (3) or SOLO (4) keys on?

There is noise

o Conrm that the connection cables do not have contact

issues.

ENGLISH

3. Use the Recall Safe settings to set items that will be

protected (not changed) when recalling snapshots. To change the Recall Safe settings, tap the RECALL SAFE

button on the Snapshot List Screen to open the SNAPSHOT RECALL SAFE Screen.

4. Snapshot data can also be imported from and exported to

external storage. To import/export snapshot data, tap the IMPORT/EXPORT

button at the bottom of the Snapshot List Screen to open the SNAPSHOT IMPORT/EXPORT screen.

Changed settings are forgotten

This unit saves settings at one-minute intervals. Since saving could fail depending on when the power is turned

o, use the Save Current Settings item on the Menu Screen to save the current settings in the internal memory before turning the power o.

• Este aparato recibe corriente nominal no operativa de la salida de corriente AC aun cuando su interruptor POWER o STANDBY/ON no esté en la posición ON.

reproducción, transferencia de datos u otra operación en la que la unidad acceda a la tarjeta.

o Nunca las transporte de forma que sus terminales queden al

aire. Use sus tapas de protección.

Protección contra grabación de tarjetas SD

Esta unidad registra datos de ajustes de carpetas de grabación/ reproducción en la tarjeta. Dado que la información de ajustes no puede ser almacenada en tarjetas SD protegidas contra la grabación, en ese caso los ajustes de las carpetas de grabación/ reproducción no quedarán memorizados cuando reinicie la unidad y por tanto su rendimiento puede verse afectado.

Nota acerca del formateo

Las tarjetas SD que hayan sido formateados por esta unidad son optimizadas para un mejor rendimiento durante la grabación. Use esta unidad para formatear las tarjetas SD que vaya a usar en ella. Se pueden producir errores al grabar en esta unidad en una tarjeta SD formateada en un ordenador u otro dispositivo.

Cuidado con la condensación

Encendido y apagado de la unidad

CUIDADO

i Reduzca el volumen del sistema de sonido conectado a esta

unidad antes de encenderla o apagarla.

i No lleve puestos los auriculares cuando encienda o apague

esta unidad. Se pueden producir ruidos fuertes capaces de dañar los propios auriculares o sus oídos.

Antes de encender la unidad

1. Conecte uno de los cables de alimentación incluidos a la

toma AC IN (W).

2. Conecte las fuentes de entrada a las tomas de entrada MIC/

LINE (v), LINE IN (BAL) (b), ST IN 1 L/R ()) y ST IN 2 L/R ()).

3. Conecte unos monitores (monitores autoamplicados o

un amplicador y un sistema de altavoces) y otras entradas de nivel de línea a las tomas de salida analógicas (,) y MONITOR OUT L/R (().

4. Si es necesario, conecte un ordenador u otro dispositivo

exterior al puerto USB (%).

5. Realice las conexiones las tomas FOOTSWITCH ($) y GPIO

(*) si es que va a usarlas.

Procesos operativos

Puede usar los mandos LCD para controlar los parámetros que aparecen y están seleccionados en la pantalla táctil que está encima de ellos.

Cuando pueda usar los mandos LCD, sus correspondientes indicadores se iluminarán.

2. Encienda los monitores conectados (monitores

autoamplicados o un amplicador y un sistema de altavoces).

y pulse sobre el elemento Save Current Settings (almacenar ajustes activos).

3. Pulse sobre el botón SAVE para almacenar los ajustes

activos en la memoria interna.

CUIDADO

No apague la unidad ni desconecte el cable de alimentación si la unidad está en marcha (incluyendo la grabación, reproducción, registro de datos en una tarjeta SD o dispositivo USB ash o almacenando los ajustes en la memoria interna). El hacer eso puede producir un fallo en la grabación o la pérdida de datos, así como la aparición de fuertes ruidos en el sistema de monitorización, capaces de dañar otros equipos, sus oídos o producir otros problemas.

Restauración de valores por defecto

Para restaurar todos los ajustes, incluyendo el procesado de señal y el ruteo, a sus valores por defecto, use los botones y

de la parte superior de la pantalla de menú para elegir “P001

Initial Data” y pulse el botón RECALL.

Ruteo de entrada

Para comprobar y cambiar los ajustes de ruteo de canal de entrada, pulse sobre la zona de entrada en la parte superior de la pantalla inicial de un módulo de canal 1–40 o ST IN 1-2 (zona a en “Ajuste de diversos parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) para que aparezca el marco de selección. Entonces, pulse otra vez el marco de selección para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (INPUT).

Ruteo de salida directa

Para comprobar y cambiar los ajustes de ruteo de salida directa, pulse en la zona NAME de un canal 1–40 en la pantalla inicial (zona e en “Ajuste de diversos parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (OVERVIEW). Después, pulse el botón OUTPUT que está sobre la zona de volumen DIRECT OUT TRIM para acceder a la pantalla DIRECT OUT PORT SELECT.

Ruteo de salida

Para comprobar y cambiar los ajustes de ruteo de conector de salida, pulse sobre la zona de salida en la parte superior de la pantalla inicial de un módulo MIX 1–22 (zona a en “Ajuste de diversos parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (OUTPUT).

Para comprobar y cambiar los ajustes de ruteo del conector de salida MAIN L/R, pulse la tecla SEL de la sección MASTER (y) para acceder a la pantalla MODULE del MAIN L/R máster. Después, pulse el botón de selección de la pantalla OUTPUT en la parte superior de la pantalla para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (OUTPUT).

Funciones

Estratos o capas

Puede asignar y distribuir libremente grupos de canales y estratos o capas de usuario en siete capas. Puede acceder fácilmente a los distintos módulos usando las teclas de capa o LAYER KEYS.

Cambie los ajustes de estas TECLAS LAYER (p) en la pantalla Layer Key Setup. Acceda a esta pantalla usando la pantalla de menú > menú Front Panel Setup > elemento Layer Setup.

Fader MASTER

Puede asignar como quiera los módulos al fader MASTER (MAIN L/R o salida principal asignada por defecto).

Cambie los ajustes para este fader MASTER en la página de conguración o SETUP de la capa de usuario. Acceda a ello usando la pantalla de menú > menú de conguración de panel frontal > elemento de ajuste de fáder máster/estrato.

Controles denidos por el usuario

Hay diversas funciones y operaciones que pueden ser asignadas a las 18 TECLAS DE USUARIO, pedal de disparo y al puerto GPIO de 8 entradas/8 salidas.

• Cuando las funciones de grupo de anulación (Mute Group), línea interior (Talkback), control de monitorización (Monitor Control) y envío SEND ON/OFF estén asignadas, la función seleccionada será activada con una señal de bajo nivel entrante. Además, si la misma función es asignada a varios GPIO-IN y/o pedales, la función será activada cuando cualquiera de esas señales sea de bajo nivel. Estos módulos de entrada, que pueden ser conmutados entre mono y stereo, tienes 2 canales de dinamismo y EQ.

FX RTN1-4

Estos módulos de entrada stereo son especícos para retorno de efectos y disponen también de EQ.

Asignación de conectores de entrada (ruteo de entrada)

Para comprobar y modicar los ajustes de ruteo de canal de entrada, pulse en la zona de entrada en la parte superior de la pantalla inicial del módulo Channel 1–40 o ST IN 1-2 (zona a en “Ajuste de diversos parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) para hacer que aparezca el recuadro de selección. Después, pulse de nuevo sobre el recuadro de selección para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (INPUT).

Ruteo de salida directa

Para comprobar y modicar los ajustes de ruteo de salida directa, pulse la zona de NOMBRE de un canal 1–40 en la pantalla inicial (zona e en “Ajuste de diversos parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (OVERVIEW). Después, pulse sobre el botón OUTPUT que está encima de la zona de volumen DIRECT OUT TRIM para acceder a la pantalla DIRECT OUT PORT SELECT.

Ajuste de nivel de entrada (GAIN/PAD/+48V/Φ)

o Pulse en la zona INPUT (zona a en “Ajuste de diversos

parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) de la pantalla inicial de un módulo de canal 1–40 o ST IN 1–2 para que aparezca el recuadro de selección. Después, use los mandos LCD (2) para ajustar los parámetros que aparecerán.

Si elige ANALOG como fuente de entrada, ajuste el nivel de entrada de la toma de entrada analógica.

Si no elige ANALOG como fuente de entrada, ajuste D.TRIM.

o Cuando el recuadro de selección aparezca en la zona INPUT

(zona a de “Ajuste de diversos parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34), pulse sobre él para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (INPUT). En esta pantalla podrá ajustar la fuente de entrada, nivel de entrada, función de amortiguación o PAD, alimentación fantasma, polaridad (Φ) y otros elementos.

GATE/EQ/COMP

Pulse sobre la zona GATE/EQ/COMP (zona b en “Ajuste de diversos parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) de la pantalla inicial de un módulo para acceder a la pantalla MODULE (GATE), MODULE (EQ) o MODULE (COMP). En estas pantallas, use la pantalla táctil (1) y los mandos LCD (2) para realizar ajustes de GATE/EQ/COMP. Además, al acceder a la pantalla LIBRARY por medio de un botón LIBRARY de una pantalla MODULE, podrá cargar datos prejados y podrá almacenar los ajustes activos.

Ajuste de nivel SEND

o Pulse en la zona SEND (zona c en “Ajuste de diversos

parámetros en la pantalla inicial” en pág. 34) de la pantalla inicial para acceder al recuadro de selección, que le permitirá el ajuste de los niveles de envío o SEND de los buses MIX1– 22/FX1–4 elegidos por medio de los mandos LCD (2).

o Pulse en un botón SEND/PAN de la pantalla inicial para

acceder a la pantalla MODULE (SEND/PAN) del módulo de canal que haya pulsado. En esta pantalla, podrá ajustar el nivel SEND LEVEL, así como los ajustes ON/OFF, PRE/POST y PAN/BAL del módulo de canal elegido. También podrá ajustar MODE y IMAGE para los módulos de entrada stereo. Para cambiar el ajuste Pre/Post, pulse en el botón PRE/POST SETTINGS de la pantalla.

o Pulse en el botón del extremo izquierdo de la pantalla

Teclas SOLO

Con los ajustes de fábrica, puede pulsar varias teclas SOLO (4) para activar la monitorización solista de las señales mezcladas de múltiples módulos de canal.

Puede modicar los ajustes SOLO en la pantalla MONITOR SETUP. Vaya a ella usando la pantalla de menú > menú Mixer Setup > elemento Monitor/Solo Setup.

o Pulse en el recuadro de selección de la zona PAN en la

NOTA

Teclas MUTE

Pulse una tecla MUTE key (3) para anular (mute)/reactivar (unmute) la señal.

Cuando una tecla MUTE esté activa (iluminada), la señal del módulo correspondiente estará anulada.

Teclas SEL

Pulse una tecla SEL (5) de una sección de canal o la tecla SEL (y) de la sección máster para acceder a la pantalla MODULE del canal seleccionado.

Pulse en el botón de selección de la pantalla que quiera en la parte superior de la pantalla MODULE y use la pantalla táctil (1) y los mandos LCD (2) para ajustar diversos parámetros.

Faders

Los 16 faders de canal del Sonicview 16 y los 24 del Sonicview 24 le muestran los niveles SEND de los siguientes buses.

Teclas MUTE

Además, cuando acceda a FX LIBRARY usando el botón LIBRARY en esta pantalla, podrá cargar datos prejados y almacenados los ajustes activos.

Funciones de instantánea (Snapshot)

Los Snapshots o instantáneas son usados para almacenar y recargar ajustes, incluyen procesado de señal del mezclador y ruteo.

Almacenamiento y recarga de snapshots

1. Pulse la tecla MENU (q) para acceder a la pantalla Menu.

Use los botones de selección de instantánea ( / ) de la parte superior de la pantalla de menú para elegir un número. Después, pulse el botón RECALL para recargar los ajustes correspondientes al número visualizado, o pulse el botón STORE para almacenar los ajustes en la posición correspondiente al número visualizado.

2. Pulse en la zona de número/nombre de instantánea en

la parte superior izquierda de la pantalla de menú para acceder a la pantalla de lista de instantáneas.

Pulse sobre la lista y elija un espacio. Después, pulse en el botón RECALL para recargar los ajustes que estén almacenados en ese espacio o pulse sobre el botón STORE para almacenar los ajustes activos en ese espacio.

Resolución de problemas

Si detecta cualquier problema al usar esta unidad, compruebe los aspectos siguientes antes de llevarla al servicio técnico.

Si estas medidas no solucionan el problema, póngase en contacto con el comercio en el que adquirió esta unidad o con el departamento de atención al cliente de TASCAM.

La unidad no se enciende

o Conrme que el cable de alimentación esté correctamente

conectado en los dos extremos.

No es emitido ningún sonido

o Compruebe que los ruteos de entrada y salida y la asignación

de los buses es correcta.

o Compruebe de nuevo las conexiones con el sistema de

monitorización. Compruebe también el volumen del amplicador.

o Compruebe que las fuentes de monitorización estén

correctamente seleccionadas.

o ¿Están los faders de canal ajustados a un nivel adecuado? o Compruebe que el fáder MASTER esté ajustado a un nivel

adecuado .

o Compruebe que el volumen de PHONES o MONITOR OUT

estén ajustados a un nivel adecuado

o ¿Están activadas las teclas MUTE (3) o SOLO (4) de canal?

Hay ruidos

o Compruebe que no haya problemas de falsos contactos en

los cables de conexión a esta unidad.

Los ajustes modicados no son memorizados

La unidad almacena los ajustes a intervalos de un minuto. Dado que el proceso de almacenamiento puede fallar

dependiendo de en qué momento apague la unidad, use el elemento Save Current Settings de la pantalla de menú para almacenar los ajustes activos en la memoria interna antes de apagar la unidad.

3. Use los ajustes Recall Safe para ajustar elementos que

quedarán protegidos (no serán modicador) cuando recargue una instantánea.

Para cambiar los ajustes Recall Safe, pulse sobre el botón RECALL SAFE en la pantalla de listado de instantáneas para acceder a la pantalla SNAPSHOT RECALL SAFE.

4. Los datos de instantáneas también pueden ser importados

desde un sistema de almacenamiento externo y exportados a dicho sistema.

Para importar/exportar datos de instantáneas, pulse sobre el botón IMPORT/EXPORT en la parte inferior de la pantalla de listado de instantáneas para acceder a la pantalla SNAPSHOT IMPORT/EXPORT.

WARRANTY

< In the United States >

This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This warranty is only valid within the country the unit was originally purchased.

WHAT IS COVERED AND WHAT IS NOT COVERED

Except as specied below, this warranty covers all defects in materials and workmanship in this product. The following are not covered by the warranty:

1. Damage to or deterioration of the external cabinet.

2. Damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.

3. Damage resulting from failure to perform basic daily maintenance

and/or calibration or otherwise resulting from failure to follow instructions contained in your owner’s manual.

4. Damage occurring during shipment of the product. (Claims must be

presented to the carrier)

5. Damage resulting from repair or attempted repair by anyone other

than TEAC or an authorized TASCAM service station.

6. Damage resulting from causes other than product defects, including

lack of technical skill, competence, or experience of the user.

7. Damage to any unit which has been altered or on which the serial

number has been defaced, modied or is missing.

WHO IS COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY

This warranty may be enforced only by the original purchaser. This warranty is not valid if the product was purchased through an unauthorized dealer.

LENGTH OF WARRANTY

All parts except heads and disk drives are warranted for one (1) year from the date of original purchase. Heads and disk drives are warranted for ninety (90) days from date of original purchase. Labor is warranted for ninety (90) days from date of original purchase.

WHAT WE WILL PAY FOR

We will pay all labor and material expenses for items covered by the warranty. Payment of shipping charges is disc ussed in the next section of this warranty.

HOW YOU CAN GET WARRANTY SERVICE

Your unit must be serviced by an authorized TASCAM service station in the United States. (This warranty is not enforceable outside the U.S.) If you are unable to locate an authorized TASCAM service station in your area, please contact us. We either will refer you to an authorized service station or instruct you to return the unit to the factory. Whenever warranty service is required, you must present a copy of the original dated sales receipt from an Authorized TASCAM Dealer.

You must pay any shipping charges if it is necessary to ship the product to service. However, if the necessary repairs are covered by the warranty, we will pay return surface shipping charges to any destination within the United States.

LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES

Any implied warranties, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, are limited in duration to the length of this warranty.

EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES

TEAC’s liability for any defective product is limited to repair or replacement of the product, at TEAC’s option. TEAC shall not be liable for:

1. Damages based upon inconvenience, loss of use of the product, loss

of time interrupted operation or commercial loss; or

2. Any other damages, whether incidental, consequential or

otherwise.
