SWAN 160X

The Swan 160X transceiver is a monoband unit with a frequency coverage of 1.8 to 2 Mhz. It features switchable power output of 50, 100, 200, or 400 watts PEP. Similar in style to the 350 line, a 117XC power supply

is recommended. An external vfo is optional for the 160X, a 160VFO however it is quite rare. The rig features amplified ALC, grid block CW keying, off-set transmit frequency, semi break-in CW keying with the VX-2, solid state high stability vfo, receiver sensitivity .5 microvolt for 10db S+N/N ratio, dual ratio 1 Kc increment tuning, 100kc and 25kc crystal calibrator, amplified AGC, ANL, and a CW sidetone monitor. Optional SS-16b super selective 16 pole crystal filter was available installed for an additional $60.00 US. Price in 1971 was listed at $429.00 US, with the 160VFO at $95.00 US.
