OVERVIEW
 This Structural Concepts Impulse® Rolling Soup
Stand is designed to merchandise product at a range of temperatures.
 This merchandiser is designed for display of
perishable, unpackaged products (per latest NSF Standard).
 Cases should be installed and operated according to
this operating manual’s instructions to insure proper performance. Improper use will void warranty.
NSF® TYPE
This unit is designed for the display of products in ambient store conditions where temperatures and humidity are maintained within a specific range.
 Ambient conditions are to be at 55% max. humidity
and maximum temperatures of 75 °F [24 °C].
This equipment MUST be installed in compliance with
all applicable NEC, federal, state and local

WIRING DIAGRAM
 Each case has its own wiring diagram folded and in its
own packet.
 Wiring diagram placement may vary; it may be placed
near ballast box, field wiring box, raceway cover, or other related location.
CAUTION! GFCI BREAKER USE REQUIREMENT
 N.E.C. (National Electric Code) or your local code
may require GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection.
 In such cases, you must use a GFCI breaker in lieu of
a GFCI receptacle.

 Each case has its own wiring diagram folded and in its own packet.  Wiring diagram placement may vary; it may be placed near ballast
box, field wiring box, raceway cover, or other related location.
HEATED WELL PRECAUTIONS
 Caution! If heated wells are operating wet and are
allowed to run dry, turn them off. Allow to cool before adding water to avoid damaging unit.
 See below for important precautions to prevent
damage to Hatco® heated wells and/or other related components.

CAUTION! GFCI BREAKER USE REQUIREMENT
If N.E.C. (National Electric Code) or your local code
requires GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection,
you MUST use a GFCI breaker in lieu of a GFCI receptacle.
CAUTION! CAREFULLY FOLLOW THESE HATCO® HEATED WELL
RECOMMENDATIONS TO AVOID DAMAGING UNIT
 Check water level in all wells periodically to make sure they are not
!
allowed to run dry.
 Allowing unit to run dry during wet operation and adding water to
dry wells while still hot can cause ‘thermal shock’ and damage unit.
 If heated wells are operating wet and are allowed to run dry, turn
them off. Allow to cool before adding water to avoid damaging unit.
 Turn off unit when filling with water. Avoid splashing.  See HATCO® HEATED WELLS - OPERATION section in this manual
for additional precautions and warnings.
CAUTION! POWER CORD AND PLUG MAINTENANCE
Risk of electric shock. If cord or plug becomes damaged,
replace only with cord and plug of same type.

INSTALLATION: REMOVAL FROM SKID / ADJUSTING LEVELERS
1. Removing Case Shipping Brackets That Are Attached To Skid
 Remove screws holding Case Shipping Brackets to skid.  Remove Case Shipping Brackets from Skid.  See illustrations below. Note: Shipping Brackets will vary in size, shape, material and location depending
upon case type and model.

2. Remove Case From Skid A. Place ramp up against skid (to allow case to
smoothly slide off from skid).
B. Maintain support of case at all times or center
of gravity may cause case to fall.
C. Unlock Casters. Slide unit to rear of skid.
Slide down ramp and off from skid.
 Note:Illustrations reflect general outline of
sample case and may not reflect your particular model or options).

3. Adjust Levelers
 After case is in position, adjust case so it is level
and plumb (see illustration at right).
 You may need to remove front and/or rear
Toe-Kick to access levelers.
 Use adjustable wrench/pry bar) to adjust leveler.  Do not use pry bar on toe-kick (it may buckle).  Use pry bar ONLY on base frame to avoid
damaging case.
 Use a block to reach base frames with pry bar.  See illustrations below.

4. Plug Case Into Outlet
 Check that receptacle is compatible with plug.  Plug the 30 amp power cord into outlet.  See illustration below.
5. Power Distribution Box
 Caution! Only certified electricians are to
access power distribution box. Risk of electric shock! Turn power off and disconnect power sources before accessing.
 It is located behind power cord plate (see
illustrations below).
 Back panel must be removed to access power
distribution box. See illustration at right for power distribution box location.
6. Wiring Diagram
 Each case has its own wiring diagram folded and
in its own packet.
 Wiring diagram placement varies; it may be
placed near field wiring box, raceway, ballast box, access door, or temperature control dials.
 See SERIAL LABEL INFORMATION &
LOCATION sheet in this manual for sample.
7. Start-Up
 When properly plugged in, case is energized.  Each well is independently controlled by its own
ON/OFF switch (see START-UP AND OPERATION) section in this manual for
illustration).
 Each well is also controlled by its own well
temperature control dial.
 Temperatures settings will vary depending upon
quantity of product and type of product.
 Use a thermometer to determine proper dial
settings for each well based on these criteria.

11. Start-Up
A. Case must be properly plugged in to outlet to be
