Waterproof Component

Your new Spektrum® 70A Brushed Waterproof ESC has been
designed and built to allow you to operate the product in many
“wet conditions,” including puddles, creeks, wet grass, snow and
even rain.

While waterproof, this component has not been designed to be
immersed in water for long periods of time and should NOT be
treated like a submarine. In addition, most metal parts, includ­ing any screws and nuts, as well as the contacts in the electrical
cables, will be susceptible to corrosion if additional maintenance is
not performed after running in wet conditions.

To maximize the long-term performance of your ESC and to keep
the warranty intact, it should only be used as described in the “Us­age Conditions” section of this manual. Additionally, the procedures
described in the “Wet Conditions Maintenance” section must be
performed regularly if you choose to run in wet conditions. If you
are not willing to perform the additional care and maintenance re­quired, then you should not operate your vehicle in those conditions.

CAUTION: Failure to exercise caution while using this
product and comply with the following precautions could

result in product malfunction and/or void the warranty.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

• Read through the wet conditions maintenance procedures and
make sure that you have all the tools you will need to properly
maintain your ESC.

• Do not operate your ESC where it could come in contact with
salt water (ocean water or water on salt-covered roads), con­taminated or polluted water. Salt water is very conductive and
highly corrosive, so use caution.

USAGE CONDITIONS

Your ESC will operate successfully in any of the following,
individual-usage scenarios:

• 2 hours continuous operation in damp grass or vegetation.

• 2 hours continuous operation in heavy fog (95% humidity,
saturated air, condensing water).

NOTICE: This ESC is waterproofed for use in wet conditions. Make sure the other components in your vehicle are waterproof
or water-resistant before driving in wet conditions.

Furthermore, when appropriate maintenance procedures (as
described below) are performed promptly following exposure, the
ESC will remain best protected from corrosion or other long-term,
water-related damage.

WET CONDITIONS MAINTENANCE

• Gently rinse the mud and dirt off the ESC with a garden hose.

• Remove the battery pack(s) and dry the contacts.

• If you have an air compressor or a can of compressed air avail­able, blow off the ESC to help remove any water that may have
gotten into small crevices or corners. Dry any water that may
be inside a recessed connector housing.

• Let the ESC air dry before you store it. Water may continue to
seep or evaporate out of tight areas for a few hours.

NOTICE: Never use a pressure washer to clean your vehicle.

NOTICE: Always disconnect the battery from the ESC when you have
finished operating your vehicle. The ESC’s switch only controls power
to the receiver and servos. The ESC will continue to draw current
when connected to the battery, resulting in possible damage to the
battery through over-discharge.

Quick Start

The quick start setup guide will get you running quickly using the
ESC’s default settings.

1. Mount the ESC and motor in your car.

2. Connect the ESC to the motor.

3. Connect the ESC receiver lead to the throttle port on your
receiver.

4. Ensure the ESC switch is OFF.

5. Connect a fully charged battery to the ESC. Power ON the ESC.

6. Calibrate the ESC to the transmitter.

Gearing

Improper gearing will cause excessive heat buildup in the motor
and speed control. Use your vehicle’s kit manual in order to find the
manufacturer’s recommended pinion size. It is best to monitor the
system’s operating temperature when you are operating on new
and different tracks or racing surfaces. Your system’s operating
temperature should never exceed 160° F (71° C). The best place to
monitor the system’s temperature is at the center of the end bell. If

the temperature is higher than 200° F (93° C) after a 5 minute run,
the gearing should be lowered (change to a smaller pinion gear).

CAUTION: Once the battery is connected to the
system, stay clear of the rotating shaft and pinion gear.
Failure to do so could result in personal injury.

Mounting the Motor

1. Install the pinion gear for your vehicle (not included) on the
motor shaft with blue thread locking compound. Verify the
pinion is spaced correctly for your vehicle to fully mesh with the
spur gear.

NOTICE: Verify the mounting screws do not protrude more than
3mm into the motor or the motor may be permanently damaged.

2. Mount the motor with the 3mm motor mounting screws
provided with your vehicle and set the gear mesh.

3. Connect the red power connectors together and the black
power connectors together between the ESC and the motor.

4. If you need to reverse the motor direction, reverse the power
connections.

Mounting the Speed Control

1. Mount the ESC in the location specified by your vehicle’s
instruction manual, or in an area with adequate airflow and
protection from damage.
Ensure all wiring connections can be reached prior to mounting.

2. Use double-sided foam tape or mounting tabs with screws on
the bottom of the case to secure the ESC in position.

3. Secure all wiring and ensure heatsink has access to airflow.

4. The switch can be mounted to the side of the ESC with the
integrated slide mount, or mounted elsewhere with double­sided foam tape.

ESC and Transmitter Calibration

When using a new ESC it is important to calibrate it so the ESC
matches the throttle range on your transmitter. If you install a new
radio system, or make changes to the throttle/brake values in your
transmitter, you must redo the ESC Calibration Process. Failure
to calibrate the ESC to your radio system will result in the ESC
not working correctly. Set the Fail Safe on your radio to a neutral
position to ensure the motor stops in the event of a signal loss.

1. Power ON the transmitter, and begin with throttle values at
100% for dual rates and travel and at neutral for trim and
sub-trim.

Verify there are no ABS braking functions activated before
proceeding with calibration.

For transmitters without an LCD, turn the D/R knob to the max
setting, and center the throttle trim.

2. Connect a battery to the ESC.

3. Press and hold the programming button on the switch case,
power on the ESC.

The red LED on the ESC will flash, and the motor will beep.

Release the programming button.
The ESC will enter the programming mode if the programming

button is not released within 3 seconds.

4. With the throttle trigger and trim in the neutral position, press
and release the programming button. The red LED will flash
once, and the motor will emit 1 tone.

5. Pull the throttle trigger to full throttle. Press and release the
programming button. The red LED will flash twice, and the
motor will emit 2 tones.

6. Push the throttle trigger to full reverse. Press and release the
programming button. The red LED will flash 3 times, and the
motor will emit 3 tones.

7. Power OFF the system with the ON/OFF switch.

8. Power ON the system with the ON/OFF switch. The system is
ready for operation

TIP: Beeps from the motor may be quiet and difficult to hear, use
the LED status to help verify settings.

1. Power ON your transmitter. Connect a battery to the ESC and
power it ON.

NOTICE: The transmitter and receiver must be connected.

2. Press and hold the programming button for 1 second.
OPTIONAL: Press and hold the programming button for 5

seconds to reset all ESC programming options.

3. Release the programming button. The red LED will blink to
indicate it has entered programming mode

4. The red LED blinks (and the motor beeps) to indicate the
programming item. Press the programming button for 1
second in order to toggle through the programmable items.

• 1 red LED blink for item one, 2 red LED blinks for item 2,

etc.

• Items 5 and above: 1 long LED blink for item 5, 1 long LED

blink and 1 short LED blink for item 6, etc.

• Items 10 and above: 2 long LED blinks for item 10, 2 long
LED blinks and 1 short LED blink for item 11, etc.

5. Press and hold the programing button for 3 seconds when you
want to enter a programming item.

6. The LED blinks to indicate the programming value within the
item selection.

7. Press and hold the programming button for 3 seconds when
you want to select a programming value.

8. Power off the ESC.

9. Begin the process again to change any other programming
values. One long LED blink and one long beep will indicate
when the ESC is ready to run.

Programming the ESC via the SPMXCA200 Program Box

1. Begin with no battery connected.

2. Connect the cable for the programming box into the
programming port as shown.

3. Connect a battery and power ON the ESC.

First it will display the battery mode selection, second the drag
brake setting, and then it will indicate it is ready to operate.

1-Year Limited Warranty

WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS — Horizon Hobby, LLC, (Hori-

zon) warrants to the original purchaser that the product purchased
(the “Product”) will be free from defects in materials and work­manship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED — This warranty is not transferable
and does not cover (i) cosmetic damage, (ii) damage due to acts
of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or
due to improper use, installation, operation or maintenance, (iii)
modification of or to any part of the Product, (iv) attempted service
by anyone other than a Horizon Hobby authorized service center,
(v) Product not purchased from an authorized Horizon dealer, (vi)
Product not compliant with applicable technical regulations, or (vii)
use that violates any applicable laws, rules, or regulations.

OTHER THAN THE EXPRESS WARRANTY ABOVE, HORIZON
MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION, AND
HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES,
INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGES

chaser’s sole and exclusive remedy shall be that Horizon will, at
its option, either (i) service, or (ii) replace, any Product determined
by Horizon to be defective. Horizon reserves the right to inspect
any and all Product(s) involved in a warranty claim. Service or
replacement decisions are at the sole discretion of Horizon. Proof
of purchase is required for all warranty claims. SERVICE OR
REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE
PURCHASER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY — HORIZON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE
FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL

setup, final assembly, modification or misuse, no liability shall be
assumed nor accepted for any resulting damage or injury. By the
act of use, setup or assembly, the user accepts all resulting liability.
If you as the purchaser or user are not prepared to accept the li­ability associated with the use of the Product, purchaser is advised
to return the Product immediately in new and unused condition to
the place of purchase.

LAW — These terms are governed by Illinois law (without regard
to conflict of law principals). This warranty gives you specific legal
rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to
state. Horizon reserves the right to change or modify this warranty
at any time without notice.

store and/or place of purchase cannot provide warranty support
or service. Once assembly, setup or use of the Product has been
started, you must contact your local distributor or Horizon directly.

INSPECTION OR SERVICES — If this Product needs to be
inspected or serviced and is compliant in the country you live and
use the Product in, please use the Horizon Online Service Request
submission process found on our website or call Horizon to obtain
a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Pack the
Product securely using a shipping carton. Please note that original
boxes may be included, but are not designed to withstand the
rigors of shipping without additional protection. Ship via a carrier
that provides tracking and insurance for lost or damaged parcels,
as Horizon is not responsible for merchandise until it arrives and
is accepted at our facility. An Online Service Request is available
at http://www.horizonhobby.com/content/service-center_render­service-center. If you do not have internet access, please contact
Horizon Product Support to obtain a RMA number along with
instructions for submitting your product for service. When calling
Horizon, you will be asked to provide your complete name, street
address, email address and phone number where you can be
reached during business hours. When sending product into Hori­zon, please include your RMA number, a list of the included items,
and a brief summary of the problem. A copy of your original sales
receipt must be included for warranty consideration. Be sure your
name, address, and RMA number are clearly written on the outside
of the shipping carton.

NOTICE: Do not ship LiPo batteries to Horizon. If you have
any issue with a LiPo battery, please contact the appropri­ate Horizon Product Support ofce.

WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS — For Warranty consideration, you

must include your original sales receipt verifying the proof-of­purchase date. Provided warranty conditions have been met, your
Product will be serviced or replaced free of charge. Service or
replacement decisions are at the sole discretion of Horizon.

NON-WARRANTY SERVICE — Should your service not be covered
by warranty, service will be completed and payment will be
required without notification or estimate of the expense unless the
expense exceeds 50% of the retail purchase cost. By submitting
the item for service you are agreeing to payment of the service
without notification. Service estimates are available upon request.
You must include this request with your item submitted for service.
Non-warranty service estimates will be billed a minimum of ½
hour of labor. In addition you will be billed for return freight. Horizon
accepts money orders and cashier’s checks, as well as Visa, Mas­terCard, American Express, and Discover cards. By submitting any
item to Horizon for service, you are agreeing to Horizon’s Terms

ATTENTION: Horizon service is limited to Product compli­ant in the country of use and ownership. If received, a
non-compliant Product will not be serviced. Further, the
sender will be responsible for arranging return shipment of

Wasserdichte Komponente

Ihr neues, wasserdichtes Spektrum®-70A-ESC-System mit Bürsten­motor wurde konzipiert und produziert, um Ihnen die Benutzung
unter zahlreichen „feuchten Bedingungen“ zu ermöglichen, darunter
in Pfützen, Bächen, nassem Gras, Schnee und sogar Regen.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass dieses System zwar wasserdicht ausgeführt
ist, jedoch NICHT dafür entwickelt wurde, sich längere Zeit unter
Wasser aufzuhalten. Darüber hinaus laufen die meisten Metallteile,
einschließlich aller Schrauben und Muttern, sowie die Kontakte
elektrischer Kabel, Gefahr, zu korrodieren, wenn nach Betrieb unter
feuchten Bedingungen keine entsprechende Wartung erfolgt.

Um die Lebensdauer Ihres ESC zu maximieren und Ihre Garantie

Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit erfolgen.

WARTUNGSMASSNAHMEN FÜR FEUCHTE BEDINGUNGEN

• Schlamm und Schmutz vorsichtig mit einem Gartenschlauch
abspülen.

• Akku(s) entnehmen und die Kontakte trocknen.

• Wenn ein Kompressor oder eine Sprühdose mit komprimierter
Luft vorhanden ist, blasen Sie das System aus, um Wasser, das
in kleine Spalten oder Winkel geraten sein könnte, zu entfernen.
Trocknen Sie alles Wasser, das in ein eingelassenes Steckerge­häuse gelangt sein könnte.

• Lassen Sie das ESC-System, bevor Sie es verstauen, lufttrocknen.

HINWEIS: Klemmen Sie nach jeder Nutzung des Fahrzeugs den Akku

vom Geschwindigkeitsregler ab. Der Schalter des Geschwindig­keitsreglers kontrolliert nur die Stromversorgung von Empfänger
und Servos. Ist der Geschwindigkeitsregler am Akku angeschlossen,
zieht er weiterhin Strom, was möglicherweise zur Beschädigung des
Akkus durch eine übermäßige Entladung führen kann.

Mithilfe der Schnellstartanleitung und unter Nutzung der Stan­dardeinstellungen des Geschwindigkeitsreglers sind Sie schnell
einsatzbereit.

1. Montieren Sie den Geschwindigkeitsregler und den Motor im
Auto.

2. Verbinden Sie den Geschwindigkeitsregler mit dem Motor.

3. Schließen Sie das ESC-Empfängerkabel an den Gasanschluss
Ihres Empfängers an.

4. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Schalter des Geschwindigkeitsreg­lers auf OFF steht.

5. Einen voll aufgeladenen Akku mit dem Geschwindigkeitsregler
verbinden. Schalten Sie den Geschwindigkeitsregler AN.

6. Kalibrieren Sie den ESC auf den Sender.

Getriebe

Ist das Getriebe nicht korrekt eingerichtet, führt dies zu einer
übermäßigen Wärmebildung im Inneren von Motor und Drehzahl­regler. Die vom Hersteller empfohlene Zahnradgröße entnehmen
Sie bitte der Bedienungsanleitung zu Ihrem Fahrzeug. Wenn Sie auf
einer neuen Piste oder einer Rennoberfläche fahren, sollten Sie die
Betriebstemperatur des Systems überwachen. Die Betriebstempe­ratur Ihres Systems sollte 71 °C (160 °F) keinesfalls übersteigen.
Am besten überwachen Sie die Systemtemperatur in der Mitte des

Lagerschilds. Liegt die Temperatur nach fünfminütigem Betrieb
über 93 °C (200 °F), sollte ein kleineres Getriebe gewählt werden
(Wechsel zu einem kleineren Zahnradgetriebe).

ACHTUNG: Sobald der Akku mit dem System verbun­den wird, berühren Sie die rotierende Welle und das
Zahnradgetriebe nicht mehr. Tun Sie dies dennoch,

könnte dies Verletzungen nach sich ziehen.

Montage des Motors

1. Das Zahnradgetriebe Ihres Fahrzeugs (nicht im Lieferumfang
enthalten) mit der blauen Gewindesicherungsmasse auf der
Motorwelle montieren. Überprüfen Sie, dass der Abstand des
Zahnrads für Ihr Fahrzeug korrekt ist, damit es vollständig in
das Stirnrad greift.

HINWEIS: Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Befestigungsschrauben
nicht mehr als 3mm in den Motor hineinragen. Andernfalls kann
der Motor dauerhaft beschädigt werden.

2. Den Motor mit den mit Ihrem Fahrzeug mitgelieferten 3-mm­Befestigungsschrauben montieren und den Zahneingriff
einstellen.

3. Die roten Netzstecker miteinander verbinden und die schwarzen
Netzstecker zusammen zwischen Geschwindigkeitsregler und
Motor anschließen.

4. Muss die Motorrichtung umgekehrt werden, können die Netz­stecker umgekehrt werden.

Montage des Geschwindigkeitsreglers

1. Die Befestigung des ESC entsprechend den Spezifikationen
im Handbuch des Fahrzeugs bestimmen oder einen Bereich
mit ausreichendem Luftstrom und Schutz vor Beschädigungen
wählen.
Stellen Sie vor der Montage sicher, dass alle Kabelverbindungen
zugänglich sind.

2. Doppelseitiges Schaumklebeband oder Befestigungslaschen auf
der Unterseite des Gehäuses zum Sichern des ESC verwenden.

3. Sichern Sie alle Kabel und stellen Sie sicher, dass der Kühl­körper frei durchlüftet ist.

4. Der Schalter kann mit der integrierten Schlittenhalterung
seitlich am ESC oder an anderer Stelle mit doppelseitigem
Schaumstoffband montiert werden.

Kalibrierung von Geschwindigkeitsregler und Sender

Bei Verwendung eines neuen Geschwindigkeitsreglers ist es
wichtig, ihn so einzustellen, dass er mit dem Gasbereich auf
Ihrem Sender übereinstimmt. Wenn Sie ein neues Funksystem
installieren oder Änderungen an Ihren Gas-/Bremswerten in Ihrem
Sender vornehmen, müssen Sie den ESC-Kalibrierungsprozess
erneut durchführen. Wenn Sie die Geschwindigkeitsregler nicht auf
Ihr Funksystem kalibrieren, funktioniert die Geschwindigkeitsregler
nicht korrekt. Stellen Sie den Fail Safe an Ihrem Funkgerät in eine
neutrale Position, um sicherzustellen, dass der Motor im Falle eines
Signalverlusts anhält.

1. Schalten Sie Ihren Sender ein und beginnen Sie mit Drossel­werten bei 100 % für Dualraten und Hub und bei Neutral für
Trimmung und Subtrimmung.

Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine ABS-Bremsfunktionen aktiviert
sind, bevor Sie mit der Kalibrierung fortfahren.

Bei Sendern ohne LCD-Anzeige drehen Sie den D/R-Knopf auf
die maximale Einstellung und zentrieren Sie die Drosselklap­pentrimmung.

2. Einen Akku an den Geschwindigkeitsregler anschließen.

3. Halten Sie die Programmierungstaste im Schaltbereich gedrückt
und schalten Sie den Geschwindigkeitsregler ein.

Die rote LED am ESC blinkt und der Motor gibt einen Piepton ab.
Programmierschalter loslassen.
Der ESC wechselt in den Programmiermodus, wenn der Pro-

grammierschalter nicht innerhalb von 3 Sekunden losgelassen
wird.

4. Wenn sich der Gaszug und die Trimmung in der Neutralstellung
befinden, die Programmiertaste drücken und loslassen. Die rote
LED blinkt einmal und der Motor gibt einen Ton ab.

5. Den Gashebel vollständig zurückziehen. Programmierschalter
drücken und loslassen. Die rote LED blinkt zweimal und der
Motor gibt zwei Töne ab.

6. Drücken Sie den Gashebel vollständig nach vorne. Program­mierschalter drücken und loslassen. Die rote LED blinkt dreimal
und der Motor gibt drei Töne ab.

7. Schalten Sie das System mit dem EIN/AUS-Schalter AUS.

8. Schalten Sie das System mit dem EIN/AUS-Schalter EIN. Das
System ist nun betriebsbereit

TIPP: Töne vom Motor können leise und schwer hörbar sein.
Verwenden Sie den LED-Status, um bei der Überprüfung der Ein­stellungen zu helfen.

5. Halten Sie die Programmiertaste 3Sekunden lang gedrückt,
wenn Sie ein Programmierelement eingeben möchten.

LED-Anzeige und Motorsignale

Nach dem Einschalten des Geschwindigkeitsreglers blinkt die
rote LED und der Motor gibt eine Reihe von Pieptönen aus, um
den Status anzuzeigen.
Zuerst wird der Akkumodus angezeigt, dann die Einstellung der
Schleppbremse und anschließend wird angezeigt, dass das Gerät
betriebsbereit ist.

WARNUNG — Ein ferngesteuertes Modell ist kein Spielzeug. Es

kann, wenn es falsch eingesetzt wird, zu erheblichen Verletzun­gen bei Lebewesen und Beschädigungen an Sachgütern führen.
Betreiben Sie Ihr RC-Modell nur auf freien Plätzen und beachten
Sie alle Hinweise der Bedienungsanleitung des Modells wie auch
der Fernsteuerung.

GARANTIEZEITRAUM — Exklusive Garantie Horizon Hobby LLC
(Horizon) garantiert, dass dasgekaufte Produkt frei von Mate­rial- und Montagefehlern ist. Der Garantiezeitraum entspricht
den gesetzlichen Bestimmung des Landes, in dem das Produkt
erworben wurde. In Deutschland beträgt der Garantiezeitraum 6
Monate und der Gewährleistungszeitraum 18 Monate nach dem
Garantiezeitraum

EINSCHRÄNKUNGEN DER GARANTIE — (a) Die Garantie wird
nur dem Erstkäufer (Käufer) gewährt und kann nicht übertragen
werden. Der Anspruch des Käufers besteht in der Reparatur oder
dem Tausch im Rahmen dieser Garantie. Die Garantie erstreckt
sich ausschließlich auf Produkte, die bei einem autorisierten
Horizon Händler erworben wurden. Verkäufe an dritte werden von
dieser Garantie nicht gedeckt. Garantieansprüche werden nur
angenommen, wenn ein gültiger Kaufnachweis erbracht wird.
Horizon behält sich das Recht vor, diese Garantiebestimmungen
ohne Ankündigung zu ändern oder modifizieren und widerruft dann
bestehende Garantiebestimmungen.

(b) Horizon übernimmt keine Garantie für die Verkaufbarkeit des
Produktes, die Fähigkeiten und die Fitness des Verbrauchers für
einen bestimmten Einsatzzweck des Produktes. Der Käufer allein
ist dafür verantwortlich, zu prüfen, ob das Produkt seinen Fähig­keiten und dem vorgesehenen Einsatzzweck entspricht.

(c) Ansprüche des Käufers ¬ Es liegt ausschließlich im Ermessen
von Horizon, ob das Produkt, bei dem ein Garantiefall festgestellt
wurde, repariert oder ausgetauscht wird. Dies sind die exklusiven
Ansprüche des Käufers, wenn ein Defekt festgestellt wird.

Horizon behält sich vor, alle eingesetzten Komponenten zu prüfen,
die in den Garantiefall einbezogen werden können. Die Entscheid­ung zur Reparatur oder zum Austausch liegt nur bei Horizon. Die
Garantie schließt kosmetische Defekte oder Defekte, hervorgerufen
durch höhere Gewalt, falsche Behandlung des Produktes, falscher
Einsatz des Produktes, kommerziellen Einsatz oder Modifikationen
irgendwelcher Art aus.

Die Garantie schließt Schäden, die durch falschen Einbau, falsche
Handhabung, Unfälle, Betrieb, Service oder Reparaturversuche, die
nicht von Horizon ausgeführt wurden aus.

Ausgeschlossen sind auch Fälle die bedingt durch (vii) eine
Nutzung sind, die gegen geltendes Recht, Gesetze oder Regularien
verstoßen haben. Rücksendungen durch den Käufer direkt an Hori­zon oder eine seiner Landesvertretung bedürfen der Schriftform.

SCHADENSBESCHRÄNKUNG — Horizon ist nicht für direkte oder
indirekte Folgeschäden, Einkommensausfälle oder kommerzielle
Verluste, die in irgendeinem Zusammenhang mit dem Produkt
stehen verantwortlich, unabhängig ab ein Anspruch im Zusam­menhang mit einem Vertrag, der Garantie oder der Gewährleistung
erhoben werden. Horizon wird darüber hinaus keine Ansprüche aus
einem Garantiefall akzeptieren, die über den individuellen Wert des
Produktes

hinaus gehen. Horizon hat keinen Einfluss auf den Einbau, die
Verwendung oder die Wartung des Produktes oder etwaiger
Produktkombinationen, die vom Käufer gewählt werden. Horizon
übernimmt keine Garantie und akzeptiert keine Ansprüche für in
der folge auftretende Verletzungen oder Beschädigungen. Mit der
Verwendung und dem Einbau des Produktes akzeptiert der Käufer
alle aufgeführten Garantiebestimmungen ohne Einschränkungen
und Vorbehalte.

Wenn Sie als Käufer nicht bereit sind, diese Bestimmungen im
Zusammenhang mit der Benutzung des Produktes zu akzeptieren,
werden Sie gebeten, dass Produkt in unbenutztem Zustand in der
Originalverpackung vollständig bei dem Verkäufer zurückzugeben.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE — Dieses ist ein hochwertiges Hobby
Produkt und kein Spielzeug. Es muss mit Vorsicht und Umsicht
eingesetzt werden und erfordert einige mechanische wie auch
mentale Fähigkeiten. Ein Versagen, das Produkt sicher und
umsichtig zu betreiben kann zu Verletzungen von Lebewesen
und Sachbeschädigungen erheblichen Ausmaßes führen. Dieses
Produkt ist nicht für den Gebrauch durch Kinder ohne die Aufsicht
eines Erziehungsberechtigten vorgesehen. Die Anleitung enthält Si­cherheitshinweise und Vorschriften sowie Hinweise für die Wartung
und den Betrieb des Produktes. Es ist unabdingbar, diese Hinweise

FRAGEN, HILFE UND REPARATUREN — Ihr lokaler Fachhändler und
die Verkaufstelle können eine Garantiebeurteilung ohne Rücksprache
mit Horizon nicht durchführen. Dies gilt auch für Garantiereparaturen.
Deshalb kontaktieren Sie in einem solchen Fall den Händler, der sich
mit Horizon kurz schließen wird, um eine sachgerechte Entscheidung
zu fällen, die Ihnen schnellst möglich hilft.

WARTUNG UND REPARATUR — Muss Ihr Produkt gewartet oder
repariert werden, wenden Sie sich entweder an Ihren Fachhändler
oder direkt an Horizon.

Rücksendungen / Reparaturen werden nur mit einer von Horizon
vergebenen RMA Nummer bearbeitet. Diese Nummer erhalten Sie
oder ihr Fachhändler vom technischen Service. Mehr Informationen
dazu erhalten Sie im Serviceportal unter www. Horizonhobby.de
oder telefonisch bei dem technischen Service von Horizon.

Packen Sie das Produkt sorgfältig ein. Beachten Sie, dass der
Originalkarton in der Regel nicht ausreicht, um beim Versand nicht
beschädigt zu werden. Verwenden Sie einen Paketdienstleister
mit einer Tracking Funktion und Versicherung, da Horizon bis zur
Annahme keine Verantwortung für den Versand des Produktes
übernimmt. Bitte legen Sie dem Produkt einen Kaufbeleg bei,
sowie eine ausführliche Fehlerbeschreibung und eine Liste aller
eingesendeten Einzelkomponenten. Weiterhin benötigen wir die
vollständige Adresse, eine Telefonnummer für Rückfragen, sowie
eine Email Adresse.

GARANTIE UND REPARATUREN — Garantieanfragen werden nur
bearbeitet, wenn ein Originalkaufbeleg von einem autorisierten
Fachhändler beiliegt, aus dem der Käufer und das Kaufdatum
hervorgeht. Sollte sich ein Garantiefall bestätigen wird das Produkt
repariert oder ersetzt. Diese Entscheidung obliegt einzig Horizon
Hobby.

KOSTENPFLICHTIGE REPARATUREN — Liegt eine kostenpflich­tige Reparatur vor, erstellen wir einen Kostenvoranschlag, den wir
Ihrem Händler übermitteln. Die Reparatur wird erst vorgenommen,
wenn wir die Freigabe des Händlers erhalten. Der Preis für die
Reparatur ist bei Ihrem Händler zu entrichten. Bei kostenpflichtigen

Reparaturen werden mindestens 30 Minuten Werkstattzeit und die
Rückversandkosten in Rechnung gestellt. Sollten wir nach 90 Ta­gen keine Einverständniserklärung zur Reparatur vorliegen haben,
behalten wir uns vor, das Produkt zu vernichten oder anderweitig
zu verwerten.

ACHTUNG: Kostenpichtige Reparaturen nehmen wir nur
für Elektronik und Motoren vor. Mechanische Repara­turen, besonders bei Hubschraubern und RC-Cars sind
extrem aufwendig und müssen deshalb vom Käufer selbst
vorgenommen werden.

Composant étanche

Votre nouveau Spektrum® 70A Brushed Waterproof ESC a été conçu
et fabriqué pour vous permettre de l’utiliser dans différentes « condi­tions humides », incluant les flaques d’eau, les ruisseaux, l’herbe
humide, la neige et même la pluie.

Bien qu’étanche, ce composant n’a pas été conçu pour être
immergé dans l’eau durant de longues périodes et ne doit PAS
être utilisé comme un sous-marin. De plus, la majorité des pièces
métalliques, y compris les vis et les écrous, ainsi que les contacts
des câbles électriques, sont exposés à l’oxydation si vous n’effectuez
un entretien supplémentaire après avoir utilisé le produit dans des
conditions humides.

Pour conserver à long terme les performances de votre variateur
ESC et conserver la garantie, il devra être utilisé en suivant les
instructions de la section «Conditions d’utilisation» de ce manuel.
De plus les procédures décrites dans la section «Maintenance en
conditions humides» devront être régulièrement effectuées si vous
roulez en conditions humides. Si vous ne souhaitez pas effectuer la
maintenance supplémentaire requise, n’utilisez pas le véhicule dans
ces conditions.

ATTENTION: un défaut de soin durant l’utilisation et un
non-respect des consignes suivantes peut entraîner un

dysfonctionnement du produit et/ou annuler la garantie.

PRÉCAUTIONS GÉNÉRALES

• Lisez attentivement les procédures de maintenance en conditions
humides et vérifiez que vous possédez tous les outils nécessaires
pour effectuer la maintenance du variateur ESC.

• Ne jamais utiliser votre variateur ESC où il pourrait entrer en
contact avec de l’eau salée (eau de mer ou flaque d’eau sur une
route salée), ou de l’eau polluée ou contaminée. L’eau salée est
très conductrice et fortement corrosive, nous vous recomman­dons la plus grande prudence.

CONDITIONS D’UTILISATION

Votre variateur ESC fonctionnera parfaitement dans n’importe
laquelle des conditions suivantes :

• 2 heures de fonctionnement en continu dans de l’herbe ou de la
végétation couverte de rosée.

• 2 heures de fonctionnement en continu dans un brouillard épais

REMARQUE: ce variateur ESC est conçu pour être utilisé en milieu humide. Vérifiez que les autres composants de votre véhicule sont
étanches ou conçus pour résister aux projections d’eau avant de rouler dans des conditions humide.

(95% d’humidité, air saturé, condensation).

• 1 heure de fonctionnement en continu sous une pluie légère
(>2,5mm/0,10po par heure).

• 15 minutes de fonctionnement en continu sous une forte pluie
(>7,6mm/0,30po par heure).

• 1 heure de fonctionnement en continu sous une faible chute de
neige fondue (<2,5mm/0,10po par heure).

• 1 heure de fonctionnement en continu sous une faible chute de
neige (<6.35mm/0,25po par heure).

• 45minutes de fonctionnement en continu dans de l’eau douce
calme ou courante (la hauteur d’eau doit être inférieure à la
hauteur du châssis), ou sous éclaboussements constants, sans
immersion des composants étanches.

• 5minutes de fonctionnement en continu dans de l’eau douce
calme ou courante (l’eau ne doit pas dépasser la hauteur du
châssis du véhicule de plus de 10mm environ [0,5po]), sous
éclaboussements constants, avec immersion fréquente intermit­tente des composants étanches.

• 1heure de fonctionnement en continu dans du sable humide, de
la boue ou de la neige (la matière du terrain doit toujours rester
en dessous du châssis), projection constante sans immersion ni
couverture des composants étanches.

En outre, quand les procédures de maintenance (décrites ci-des­sous) sont exécutées promptement après l’exposition, le variateur
ESC restera à long terme protégé de la corrosion et autres dégâts
pouvant être causés par l’eau.

MAINTENANCE EN CONDITIONS HUMIDES

• Rincez délicatement le variateur ESC à l’aide d’un arrosoir afin de
retirer la boue et la poussière.

• Retirez la batterie et séchez ses contacts.

• Si vous possédez un compresseur d’air ou une bombe d’air com­pressé, utilisez-le (la) sur le variateur ESC pour faciliter le retrait
de l’eau logée dans les renfoncements et les recoins. Chassez
toute l’humidité qui se trouve dans la prise.

• Laissez le variateur ESC sécher à l’air avant de le stocker. L’eau
peut continuer à s’écouler et s’évaporer de renfoncements durant
quelques heures.

REMARQUE: Ne jamais utiliser un nettoyeur haute-pression pour
nettoyer le véhicule.

REMARQUE: débranchez toujours la batterie du variateur ESC lorsque vous
avez terminé d’utiliser votre véhicule. Le commutateur du variateur ESC
contrôle uniquement l’alimentation du récepteur et des servos. Le variateur
ESC continue de prélever du courant lorsqu’il est branché à la batterie, ce

Démarrage rapide

Le guide de configuration rapide vous permettra de démarrer rapi­dement en utilisant les paramètres par défaut du variateur ESC.

1. Montez le variateur ESC et le moteur dans votre voiture.

2. Raccordez le variateur ESC au moteur.

3. Raccordez le câble du récepteur du variateur ESC au port des
gaz sur votre récepteur.

4. Assurez-vous que le variateur ESC est en position OFF (éteint).

5. Connectez une batterie complètement chargée au variateur
ESC. Allumez le variateur ESC.

6. Calibrez le variateur ESC à l’émetteur.

Engrenage

Un engrenage incorrect entraînera une accumulation excessive
de chaleur dans le moteur et le variateur de vitesse. Utilisez le
manuel du kit de votre véhicule afin de connaître la taille de pignon
recommandée par le fabricant. Il est préférable de surveiller la
température de fonctionnement du système lorsque vous utilisez
votre véhicule sur des pistes ou des surfaces de course nouvelles
et différentes. La température de fonctionnement de votre système
ne doit jamais dépasser 71°C (160°F). Le meilleur endroit pour

surveiller la température du système est au centre de la flasque. Si
la température est supérieure à 93°C (200°F) après une course
de 5minutes, l’engrenage doit être abaissé (utiliser un engrenage
à pignons plus petit).

ATTENTION: Une fois la batterie branchée au
système, tenez-vous à l’écart de l’arbre rotatif et
de l’engrenage à pignons. Le non-respect de cette

recommandation peut entraîner des blessures.

Montage du moteur

1. Installez le pignon de votre véhicule (non inclus) sur l’arbre du
moteur à l’aide de frein-filet bleu. Vérifiez que l’espacement du
pignon est correct sur votre véhicule afin qu’il soit bien engrené
avec la roue droite cylindrique.

REMARQUE: vérifiez que les vis de fixation ne dépassent pas
de plus de 3mm à l’intérieur du moteur, car cela risquerait
d’endommager le moteur de manière permanente.

2. Montez le moteur à l’aide des vis de fixation du moteur de
3mm fournies avec votre véhicule et réglez l’engrènement.

3. Branchez les connecteurs d’alimentation rouges ensemble et
les connecteurs d’alimentation noirs ensemble entre le varia­teur ESC et le moteur.

4. Si vous avez besoin d’inverser la direction du moteur, inversez
les connections d’alimentation.

Montage du variateur de vitesse

1. Montez le variateur ESC à l’emplacement spécifié dans le
manuel d’instructions de votre véhicule, ou dans un endroit
adéquatement ventilé et protégé.
Assurez-vous que tous les branchements sont accessibles
avant le montage.

2. Utilisez un ruban mousse double face ou des languettes de
fixation avec des vis au fond du boîtier pour fixer le variateur
ESC en place.

3. Fixez tous les câbles et assurez-vous que le dissipateur de
chaleur est bien ventilé.

4. Le commutateur peut être fixé sur le côté de l’ESC avec le
support à glissière intégré ou de le fixer à un autre endroit avec
du ruban adhésif mousse double face.

Étalonnage du variateur ESC et de l’émetteur

Lors de l’utilisation d’un nouveau variateur ESC, il est important de
l’étalonner afin que le variateur ESC s’adapte à la plage d’accé­lération de votre émetteur. Si vous installez un nouveau système
radio ou modifiez les valeurs d’accélération/de freinage de votre
émetteur, vous devez à nouveau procéder à l’étalonnage du
variateur ESC. Si vous n’étalonnez pas le variateur ESC avec votre
système radio, le variateur ESC ne fonctionnera pas correctement.
Réglez la sécurité intégrée avec votre radio sur une position neutre
pour vous assurer que le moteur s’arrête en cas de perte de signal.

1. Allumez l’émetteur et commencez avec des valeurs d’accéléra­tion à 100% pour les doubles débattements et la course, et en
position neutre pour le compensateur et le sous-compensateur.

Vérifiez qu’aucune fonction de freinage ABS n’est activée avant
de procéder à l’étalonnage.

Avec les émetteurs sans écran LCD, tournez le bouton D/R sur
le réglage maximal et centrez le compensateur des gaz.

2. Branchez une batterie au variateur ESC.

3. Pressez et maintenez appuyé le bouton de programmation sur
le boîtier du commutateur, allumez le variateur ESC.

La DEL rouge sur le variateur ESC commencera à clignoter et le
moteur émettra un bip.

Relâchez le bouton de programmation.
Le variateur ESC entrera en mode de programmation si le bou-

ton de programmation n’est pas relâché dans les 3 secondes.

4. Avec la commande d’accélérateur et le compensateur des gaz
en position neutre, appuyez sur le bouton de programmation
et maintenez-le enfoncé. La DEL rouge clignotera une fois et le
moteur émettra une tonalité.

5. Poussez la commande d’accélérateur sur pleins gaz. Appuyez
sur le bouton de programmation et relâchez-le. La DEL rouge
clignotera deux fois et le moteur émettra deux tonalités.

6. Maintenez la commande d’accélérateur sur la position arrière
complet. Appuyez sur le bouton de programmation et relâ­chez-le. La DEL rouge clignotera trois fois et le moteur émettra
trois tonalités.

7. Éteignez le système à l’aide du commutateur ON/OFF
(MARCHE/ARRÊT).

8. Allumez le système à l’aide du commutateur ON/OFF (MARCHE/
ARRÊT). Le système est prêt à opérer

CONSEIL: Les bips du moteur sont parfois silencieux et difficiles
à entendre, utilisez l’état de la DEL pour vous aider à vérifier les
paramètres.

Programmation du variateur ESC via le bouton poussoir du commutateur

1. Mettez l’émetteur en marche. Connectez une batterie au varia­teur ESC et allumez-le.

REMARQUE: L’émetteur et le récepteur doivent être connectés.

2. Appuyez sur le bouton de programmation et maintenez-le
enfoncé pendant 1seconde.

FACULTATIF: Appuyez sur le bouton de programmation et
maintenez-le appuyé pendant 5secondes pour restaurer toutes
les options de programmation du variateur ESC.

3. Relâchez le bouton de programmation. La DEL rouge clignotera
pour indiquer qu’il est entré en mode de programmation

4. La DEL rouge clignote (et le moteur émet un bip) pour indiquer
l’élément de programmation. Appuyez sur le bouton de pro­grammation pendant une seconde pour parcourir les éléments
programmables.

enfoncé pendant 3secondes pour saisir un élément de
programmation.

6. La DEL clignote pour indiquer la valeur de programmation dans
la sélection d’éléments.

7. Appuyez sur le bouton de programmation et maintenez-le
enfoncé pendant 3secondes pour sélectionner une valeur de
programmation.

8. Éteignez le variateur ESC.

9. Recommencez le processus pour modifier toute autre valeur de
programmation. Un long clignotement de la DEL et un long bip
indiquent que le variateur ESC est prêt à fonctionner.

DURÉE DE LA GARANTIE — Garantie exclusive - Horizon Hobby,

LLC (Horizon) garantit que le Produit acheté (le « Produit ») sera
exempt de défauts matériels et de fabrication à sa date d’achat
par l’Acheteur. La durée de garantie correspond aux dispositions
légales du pays dans lequel le produit aété acquis. La durée de
garantie est de 6 mois et la durée d’obligation de garantie de 18
mois à l’expiration de la période de garantie.

MAINTENANCE ET RÉPARATION — Si votre produit doit faire

à votre revendeur spécialisé, soit directement à Horizon. Emballez
le produit soigneusement. Veuillez noter que le carton d’emballage

au minimum 30 minutes de travail en atelier ainsi que les frais de

délai de 90 jours, nous nous réservons la possibilité de détruire le
produit ou de l’utiliser autrement.

ATTENTION: Nous n’effectuons de réparations payantes
que pour les composants électroniques et les moteurs. Les
réparations touchant à la mécanique, en particulier celles
des hélicoptères et des voitures radiocommandées, sont
extrêmement coûteuses et doivent par conséquent être

Componenti impermeabili

Il tuo nuovo regolatore ESC Spektrum® 70 A a spazzole imper­meabile è stato progettato e costruito per permetterti di utilizzarlo
anche in “condizioni di bagnato,” come pozzanghere, ruscelli, erba
bagnata, neve e persino pioggia.

Anche se impermeabile, non è però stato progettato per essere
immerso in acqua per lunghi periodi di tempo e NON va trattato
come se fosse un sottomarino. Inoltre, la maggior parte delle parti
metalliche, comprese le viti e i dadi, così come i contatti nei cavi
elettrici, saranno suscettibili di corrosione in assenza di specifica
manutenzione dopo l’uso in condizioni bagnate.

Per massimizzare le prestazioni a lungo termine e non invalidarne
la garanzia, l’ESC va usato esclusivamente come descritto nella
sezione “Condizioni d’uso” del presente manuale. Inoltre, le
procedure descritte nella sezione “Manutenzione in condizioni di
bagnato” devono essere eseguite regolarmente se si sceglie di
correre in tali condizioni. Se non si è disposti a prestare la cura e
la manutenzione extra richieste, è preferibile astenersi dall’usare il
proprio veicolo in condizioni di bagnato.

ATTENZIONE: il mancato rispetto delle seguenti

precauzioni durante l’uso di questo prodotto potrebbe

causarne il malfunzionamento e/o annullarne la garanzia.

PRECAUZIONI GENERALI

• Leggere le procedure di manutenzione in caso di uso in
condizioni di bagnato e assicurarsi di avere tutti gli strumenti
necessari per la corretta manutenzione dell’ESC.

• Non utilizzare l’ESC dove potrebbe entrare in contatto con
acqua salata (acqua di mare o acqua su strade coperte di sale),
contaminata o inquinata. L’acqua salata è molto conduttiva e
altamente corrosiva, quindi fate attenzione.

CONDIZIONI D’USO

Questo ESC funzionerà con successo in uno qualsiasi dei seguenti
scenari di utilizzo individuale:

• 2 ore di funzionamento continuo su erba o vegetazione umida.

• 2 ore di funzionamento continuo con nebbia fitta (95% di
umidità, aria satura, acqua di condensa).

AVVISO: questo ESC è impermeabilizzato per l’uso in condizioni di bagnato. Assicurarsi che gli altri componenti del veicolo siano
impermeabili o resistenti all’acqua prima di guidare in condizioni di bagnato.

• 1 ora di funzionamento continuo sotto pioggia leggera (/2,5 mm
all’ora).

• 15 minuti di funzionamento continuo in caso di pioggia forte
(>7,6 mm all’ora).

• 1 ora di funzionamento continuo con nevischio leggero (<2,5
mm all’ora).

• 1 ora di funzionamento continuo con neve leggera (<6,35 mm
all’ora).

• 45 minuti di funzionamento continuo in acqua dolce ferma o
corrente (il livello dell’acqua deve sempre rimanere più basso
del telaio del veicolo), o spruzzi d’acqua costanti, senza alcuna
immersione dei componenti impermeabili.

• 5 minuti di funzionamento continuo in acqua dolce ferma o
corrente (il livello dell’acqua non deve mai salire oltre i 10 mm
sopra il telaio del veicolo), spruzzi d’acqua costanti o immersio­ne frequente e intermittente dei componenti impermeabili.

• 1 ora di funzionamento continuo in sabbia umida, terriccio,
fango o neve (il livello del materiale deve rimanere sempre al
di sotto del telaio del veicolo), spruzzi costanti senza alcuna
immersione o copertura dei componenti impermeabili.

Inoltre, se le necessarie procedure di manutenzione (descritte di
seguito) vengono eseguite prontamente dopo l’esposizione, l’ESC
rimarrà protetto al meglio dalla corrosione o da altri danni a lungo
termine causati dall’acqua.

MANUTENZIONE IN CONDIZIONI DI BAGNATO

• Sciacquare delicatamente fango e terriccio dall’ESC con un
tubo da giardino.

• Rimuovere il pacco batteria e asciugare i contatti.

• Se si ha a disposizione un compressore d’aria o una bomboletta
di aria compressa, soffiare sull’ESC per agevolare la rimozione
dell’acqua che potrebbe essere penetrata negli angoli e nelle
piccole fessure. Asciugare l’acqua eventualmente intrappolata
dentro gli alloggiamenti dei connettore incassati.

• Lasciare asciugare l’ESC all’aria prima di riporlo. L’acqua può
continuare a filtrare o evaporare dalle superfici anguste per
alcune ore.

AVVISO: non usare mai idropulitrici per pulire il veicolo.

CONSIGLIO: si consiglia di lasciare la fasatura del motore a zero gradi per le applicazioni avanti/indietro.

AVVISO: scollegare sempre la batteria dall’ESC prima di riporre il modello.

L’interruttore dell’ESC controlla solamente l’alimentazione del ricevitore e
dei servo. Se collegato alla batteria, l’ESC continua ad assorbire corrente,
con rischio di danni alla batteria dovuti a scaricamento eccessivo.

Guida rapida

La guida di configurazione per l’avvio rapido condurrà rapidamente
all’utilizzo con le impostazioni predefinite dell’ESC.

1. Montare l’ESC e il motore nel veicolo.

2. Collegare l’ESC al motore.

3. Collegare il filo del ricevitore ESC alla porta del motore sul
ricevitore.

4. Accertarsi che l’interruttore dell’ESC sia spento.

5. Collegare una batteria completamente carica all’ESC. Accen­dere l’ESC.

6. Calibrare l’ESC alla trasmittente.

Rapporto di trasmissione

Una combinazione impropria tra pignone e corona provoca un
accumulo eccessivo di calore nel motore e nel regolatore di
velocità. Consultare il manuale del kit del veicolo per le dimensioni
del pignone consigliate dal fabbricante. É consigliabile monitorare
le temperature di lavoro del sistema quando si corre su un circuito
nuovo o diverso o su superfici da gara. La temperatura di lavoro
del sistema non deve mai superare i 71° C. Il luogo migliore dove

monitorare la temperatura del sistema è al centro della campana
finale. Se la temperatura supera i 93° C dopo una corsa di 5
minuti, il rapporto degli ingranaggi deve essere ridotto (passare a
un pignone più piccolo).

ATTENZIONE: tenersi sempre lontani dall’albero in
rotante e dal pignone se la batteria è collegata. In
caso contrario, si corre il rischio di lesioni personali.

Montaggio del motore

1. Montare l’ingranaggio del pignone per il veicolo (non incluso)
sull’albero del motore con del frenafiletti blu. Verificare che il
pignone sia posizionato correttamente in modo da ingranarsi
completamente l’ingranaggio cilindrico.

AVVISO: verificare che le viti di montaggio non sporgano per più
di 3 mm nel motore per evitare il rischio di danni permanenti al
motore.

2. Montare il motore con le viti di montaggio da 3 mm fornite con
il veicolo e impostare correttamente il gioco dell’ingranaggio.

3. Collegare i connettori di alimentazione rossi e i connettori di
alimentazione neri tra l’ESC e il motore.

4. Per invertire la direzione del motore, invertire i collegamenti di
alimentazione.

Montaggio del comando di velocità

1. Montare l’ESC nella posizione indicata nel manuale del veicolo,
assicurandosi che il flusso d’aria e la protezione siano sempre
adeguati.
Assicurarsi che tutti i cablaggi siano raggiungibili prima del
montaggio.

2. Utilizzare del nastro biadesivo in schiuma o delle linguette
di montaggio sul fondo della custodia per fissare l’ESC in
posizione.

3. Fissare il cablaggio e assicurarsi che il dissipatore abbia
accesso al flusso d’aria.

4. L’interruttore può essere montato sul lato dell’ESC con il sup­porto a slitta integrato o altrove con del nastro biadesivo.

Calibrazione di ESC e trasmittente

Quando si usa un nuovo ESC è importante calibrarlo in modo che
l’ESC corrisponda alla gamma della manetta sulla trasmittente.
Se si installa un nuovo radiocomando o si apportano modifiche
ai valori di gas/freno nella trasmittente, è necessario ripetere la
procedura di calibrazione dell’ESC. Se non viene calibrato per
adeguarlo al radiocomando, l’ESC non funzionerà correttamente.
Impostare il failsafe sulla radio in posizione neutra per garantire
l’arresto del motore in caso di perdita del segnale.

1. Accendere la trasmittente e iniziare con valori del gas al 100%
per Dual Rate e corsa e in posizione neutra per trim e subtrim.

Verificare che le funzioni di frenata ABS non siano attive prima
di procedere con la calibrazione.

Per le trasmittenti senza schermo LCD, girare la manopola D/R
all’impostazione massima e centrare il trim del gas.

2. Collegare la batteria all’ESC.

3. Tenere premuto il pulsante di programmazione sull’involucro
dello switch, accendere l’ESC.

Il LED rosso sull’ESC lampeggia e il motore emette un segnale
acustico.

Rilasciare il pulsante di programmazione.
L’ESC entrerà in modalità di programmazione se il pulsante di

programmazione non viene rilasciato entro 3 secondi.

4. Con il grilletto del gas e il trim in posizione neutra, premere e
rilasciare il pulsante di programmazione. Il LED rosso lampeggia
una volta e il motore emette 1 tono sonoro.

5. Premere completamente il grilletto del gas. Premere e rilasciare
il pulsante di programmazione. Il LED rosso lampeggia due volte
e il motore emette 2 toni sonori.

6. Spingere il grilletto dell’acceleratore tutto indietro. Premere e
rilasciare il pulsante di programmazione. Il LED rosso lampeggia
3 volte e il motore emette 3 toni sonori.

7. Spegnere il sistema con il pulsante ON/OFF.

8. Accendere il sistema con il pulsante ON/OFF. Il sistema è pronto
per l’uso

CONSIGLIO: i bip del motore possono essere silenziosi e difficili
da sentire; fare riferimento allo stato dei LED per verificare le
impostazioni.

1. Accendere la trasmittente. Collegare una batteria all’ESC e
accenderlo.

AVVISO: Trasmittente e ricevitore devono essere connessi.

per 5 secondi per azzerare le opzioni di programmazione
dell’ESC.

3. Rilasciare il pulsante di programmazione. Il LED
rosso lampeggia a indicare l’ingresso in modalità di
programmazione

4. Il LED rosso lampeggia (e il motore emette un bip) per
indicare l’elemento di programmazione. Premere il pulsante
di programmazione per 1 secondo per scorrere tra le voci
programmabili.

• 1 lampeggio del LED rosso per l’elemento uno, 2 lampeggi

del LED rosso per l’elemento 2, ecc.

• Elemento 5 e superiori: 1 lampeggio lungo del LED per
l’elemento 5, 1 lampeggio lungo del LED e 1 lampeggio
corto del LED per l’elemento 6, ecc.

• Elemento 10 e superiori: 2 lampeggi lunghi del LED per
l’elemento 10, 2 lampeggi lunghi del LED e 1 lampeggio
corto del LED per l’elemento 11, ecc.

5. Tenere premuto il pulsante di programmazione per 3 secondi
per entrare in uno degli elementi di programmazione.

6. Il LED lampeggia per indicare il valore di programmazione
all’interno dell’elemento selezionato.

7. Tenere premuto il pulsante di programmazione per 3 secondi
per selezionare un valore di programmazione.

8. Spegnere l’ESC.

9. Ripetere la procedura per modificare gli altri valori di
programmazione. Un segnale acustico e un lampeggio lungo
del LED indicano che l’ESC è pronto all’uso.

Programmare l’ESC via la scheda di programmazione SPMXCA200

1. Iniziare la procedura con la batteria scollegata.

2. Collegare il cavo per la scheda di programmazione nella
corrispondente porta come indicato.

3. Collegare la batteria e accendere l’ESC.

PERIODO DI GARANZIA — Garanzia esclusiva - Horizon Hobby,

LLC (Horizon) garantisce che il prodotto acquistato (il “Prodotto”)
sarà privo di difetti relativi ai materiali e di eventuali errori di mon­taggio alla data di acquisto. Il periodo di garanzia è conforme alle
disposizioni legali del paese nel quale il prodotto è stato acquistato.
Tale periodo di garanzia ammonta a 6 mesi e si estende ad altri 18
mesi dopo tale termine.

LIMITI DELLA GARANZIA — (a) La garanzia è limitata
all’acquirente originale (Acquirente) e non è cedibile a terzi.
L’acquirente ha il diritto a far riparare o a far sostituire la merce
durante il periodo di questa garanzia. La garanzia copre solo quei
prodotti acquistati presso un rivenditore autorizzato Horizon. Altre
transazioni di terze parti non sono coperte da questa garanzia. La
prova di acquisto è necessaria per far valere il diritto di garanzia.
Inoltre, Horizon si riserva il diritto di cambiare o modificare i termini
di questa garanzia senza alcun preavviso e di escludere tutte le
altre garanzie già esistenti.

(b) Horizon non si assume alcuna garanzia per la disponibilità del
prodotto, per l’adeguatezza o l’idoneità del prodotto a particolari
previsti dall’utente. È sola responsabilità dell’acquirente il fatto di
verificare se il prodotto è adatto agli scopi da lui previsti.

(c) Richiesta dell’acquirente – spetta soltanto a Horizon, a propria
discrezione riparare o sostituire qualsiasi prodotto considerato
difettoso e che rientra nei termini di garanzia. Queste sono le
uniche rivalse a cui l’acquirente si può appellare, se un prodotto è
difettoso.

Horizon si riserva il diritto di controllare qualsiasi componente
utilizzato che viene coinvolto nella rivalsa di garanzia. Le decisioni
relative alla sostituzione o alla riparazione sono a discrezione di
Horizon. Questa garanzia non copre dei danni superficiali o danni
per cause di forza maggiore, uso errato del prodotto, un utilizzo
che viola qualsiasi legge, regolamentazione o disposizione applica­bile, negligenza, uso ai fini commerciali, o una qualsiasi modifica a
qualsiasi parte del prodotto.

Questa garanzia non copre danni dovuti ad un’installazione errata,
ad un funzionamento errato, ad una manutenzione o un tentativo
di riparazione non idonei a cura di soggetti diversi da Horizon. La
restituzione del prodotto a cura dell’acquirente, o da un suo rap­presentante, deve essere approvata per iscritto dalla Horizon.

LIMITI DI DANNO — Horizon non si riterrà responsabile per danni
speciali, diretti, indiretti o consequenziali; perdita di profitto o di
produzione; perdita commerciale connessa al prodotto, indipen­dentemente dal fatto che la richiesta si basa su un contratto o sulla
garanzia. Inoltre la responsabilità di Horizon non supera mai in
nessun caso il prezzo di acquisto del prodotto per il quale si chiede
la responsabilità. Horizon non ha alcun controllo sul montaggio,
sull’utilizzo o sulla manutenzione del prodotto o di combinazioni
di vari prodotti. Quindi Horizon non accetta nessuna responsabilità
per danni o lesioni derivanti da tali circostanze. Con l’utilizzo e il
montaggio del prodotto l’utente acconsente a tutte le condizioni,
limitazioni e riserve di garanzia citate in questa sede.

Qualora l’utente non fosse pronto ad assumersi tale responsabilità
associata all’uso del prodotto, si suggerisce di restituire il prodotto
intatto, mai usato e immediatamente presso il venditore.

INDICAZIONI DI SICUREZZA — Questo è un prodotto sofisticato
di hobbistica e non è un giocattolo. Esso deve essere manipolato
con cautela, con giudizio e richiede delle conoscenze basilari di
meccanica e delle facoltà mentali di base. Se il prodotto non verrà
manipolato in maniera sicura e responsabile potrebbero risultare
delle lesioni, dei gravi danni a persone, al prodotto o all’ambiente

DOMANDE, ASSISTENZA E RIPARAZIONI — Il vostro negozio
locale e/o luogo di acquisto non possono fornire garanzie di as­sistenza o riparazione senza previo colloquio con Horizon. Questo
vale anche per le riparazioni in garanzia. Quindi in tale casi bisogna
interpellare un rivenditore, che si metterà in contatto subito con
Horizon per prendere una decisione che vi possa aiutare nel più
breve tempo possibile.

MANUTENZIONE E RIPARAZIONE — Se il prodotto deve essere
ispezionato o riparato, si prega di rivolgersi ad un rivenditore
specializzato o direttamente ad Horizon. Il prodotto deve es­sere imballato con cura. Bisogna far notare che i box originali
solitamente non sono adatti per effettuare una spedizione senza
subire alcun danno. Bisogna effettuare una spedizione via cor­riere che fornisce una tracciabilità e un’assicurazione, in quanto
Horizon non si assume alcuna responsabilità in relazione alla
spedizione del prodotto. Inserire il prodotto in una busta assieme
ad una descrizione dettagliata degli errori e ad una lista di tutti i
singoli componenti spediti. Inoltre abbiamo bisogno di un indirizzo
completo, di un numero di telefono per chiedere ulteriori domande
e di un indirizzo e-mail.

GARANZIA E RIPARAZIONE — Le richieste in garanzia verranno
elaborate solo se è presente una prova d’acquisto in originale
proveniente da un rivenditore specializzato autorizzato, nella quale
è ben visibile la data di acquisto. Se la garanzia viene confermata,
allora il prodotto verrà riparato o sostituito. Questa decisione spetta
esclusivamente a Horizon Hobby.

RIPARAZIONI A PAGAMENTO — Se bisogna effettuare una
riparazione a pagamento, effettueremo un preventivo che verrà
inoltrato al vostro rivenditore. La riparazione verrà effettuata dopo
l’autorizzazione da parte del vostro rivenditore. La somma per la
riparazione dovrà essere pagata al vostro rivenditore. Le riparazioni
a pagamento avranno un costo minimo di 30 minuti di lavoro e in
fattura includeranno le spese di restituzione. Qualsiasi riparazione
non pagata e non richiesta entro 90 giorni verrà considerata ab­bandonata e verrà gestita di conseguenza.

ATTENZIONE: Le riparazioni a pagamento sono disponibili
solo sull’elettronica e sui motori. Le riparazioni a livello
meccanico, soprattutto per gli elicotteri e le vetture RC,
sono molto costose e devono essere effettuate autonoma­mente dall’acquirente.
