Cautions

•This unit is designed for negative ground 12 V
DC operation only.

•Do not get the wires under a screw, or caught
in moving parts (e.g. seat railing).

•Before making connections, turn the car
ignition off to avoid short circuits.

•Connect the yellow and red power input leads
only after all other leads have been connected.

•Run all ground wires to a common ground

point.

•Be sure to insulate any loose unconnected
wires with electrical tape for safety.

•The use of optical instruments with this
product will increase eye hazard.

Notes on the power supply cord (yellow)

•When connecting this unit in combination with
other stereo components, the connected car
circuit’s rating must be higher than the sum of
each component’s fuse.

•When no car circuits are rated high enough,
connect the unit directly to the battery.

is no power antenna or antenna booster, or
with a manually-operated telescopic antenna.

Notes on the control and power supply leads

• The power antenna control lead (blue) supplies
+12 V DC when you turn on the tuner.

• When your car has built-in FM/AM antenna in the
rear/side glass, connect the power antenna control
lead (blue) or the accessory power input lead (red)
to the power terminal of the existing antenna
booster. For details, consult your dealer.

•A power antenna without relay box cannot be
used with this unit.

Memory hold connection

When the yellow power input lead is connected,
power will always be supplied to the memory circuit
even when the ignition key is turned off.

Notes on speaker connection

• Before connecting the speakers, turn the unit off.

• Use speakers with an impedance of 4 to 8 ohms,
and with adequate power handling capacities to
avoid its damage.

• Do not connect the speaker terminals to the car
chassis, or connect the terminals of the right
speakers with those of the left speaker.

• Do not connect the ground lead of this unit to the
negative (–) terminal of the speaker.

•Do not attempt to connect the speakers in parallel.

• Connect only passive speakers. Connecting active
speakers (with built-in amplifiers) to the speaker
terminals may damage the unit.

• To avoid a malfunction, do not use the built-in
speaker wires installed in your car if the unit shares
a common negative (–) lead for the right and left
speakers.

• Do not connect the unit’s speaker cords to each
other.

•

接通調諧器電源時，電動天線的控制導線（藍色）便
能提供 +12 V 直流電。

•

若您的汽車後面側面玻璃窗中有內置 FM/AM 天線，
須將電動天線控制導線（藍色）或輔助電源輸入導線
（紅色）連接到現有天線放大器上的電源端子上。詳
細內容請向銷售商諮詢。

•

本機不能使用不具備繼電箱的電動天線。

保持記憶的線路連接法

當連接好黃色電源輸入導線時，即使汽車發動機點火鑰匙
被轉在電源切斷之處，電源仍繼續將電流供給記憶用電路，
以保持所記憶著的數據。

連接揚聲器時的注意事項

•

連接揚聲器電線以前，請先切斷本機電源。

•

使用阻抗為 4-8Ω 且具有充分功率處理容量的揚聲
器，以免損壞揚聲器。

•

不要將揚聲器端子連接到汽車底盤上或將右揚聲器端
子與左揚聲器端子相連接。

•

切勿將本機的接地導線連接至揚聲器的負(-)接線柱。

•

揚聲器不可以並聯連接。

•

請僅連接無源揚聲器。若將有源揚聲器（帶內置放大
器）連接到揚聲器端子上會損壞本機。

•

若本裝置使用左、右揚聲器的共用( - ) 極導線，為了避
免故障，切勿使用已安裝在汽車內的內置揚聲器導
線。

•

請勿將本裝置揚聲器導線相互連接。

• 자동차 회로에 적절한 회로가 없을 때에는 배터리에
장치를 직접 접속하여 주십시오.

메모리 홀드 접속

노란색 전원 입력 리드를 접속하면 시동 키를 꺼도 전원은 항
상 메모리 회로에 공급됩니다.

스피커 접속에 관한 주의

•

스피커를 접속하기 전에 본기 스위치를 꺼 주십시오.

•

손상을 방지하기 위해서는 임피던스가 4〜8 Ω에서 적절한
대응 전원을 갖춘 스피커를 사용하여 주십시오.

•

스피커 단자를 자동차 섀시에 접속하거나 오른쪽 스피커 단
자를 왼쪽 스피커용 단자에 접속하거나 하지 마십시오.

•

본 장치의 접지 리드선은 스피커의 마이너스(-) 단자에 접
속하지 마십시오.

•

스피커를 병렬로 접속하지 마십시오.

•

퍼시픽 스피커만 접속하여 주십시오. 액티브 스피커(앰프
내장 제품)를 스피커 단자에 접속하면 장치가 손상될 염려
가 있습니다.

•

장치에 좌우 스피커에 마이너스(-) 리드선을 공용하는 경우
에는 고장을 방지하기 위하여 사용 중인 자동차에 탑재된 내
장 스피커의 와이어는 사용하지 마십시오.

•

Precautions

•Choose the installation location carefully so
that the unit will not interfere with normal
driving operations.

•Avoid installing the unit in areas subject to
dust, dirt, excessive vibration, or high
temperatures, such as in direct sunlight or near
heater ducts.

•Use only the supplied mounting hardware for
a safe and secure installation.

Mounting angle adjustment

Adjust the mounting angle to less than 20°.

Frequency select switch

The AM (FM) tuning interval is factory-set to the
10 k (200 k) position. If the frequency allocation
system of your country is based on 9 kHz (50
kHz) interval, set the switch on the left side of
the unit to the 9 k (50 k) position before making
connections.
After the frequency select switch is set, you
must press the reset button to reset the unit.

Mounting the unit in a Japanese
car (4)

You may not be able to install this unit in some
makes of Japanese cars. In such a case, consult
your Sony dealer.

When mounting this unit to the preinstalled
brackets of your car, use the supplied screws 1
or 2 in the appropriate screw holes, according
to your vehicle: T for TOYOTA, M for
MITSUBISHI, and N for NISSAN.

Notes

• Use the screws 1 or 2 depending on the make of

car. When this unit is attached to a MITSUBISHI car,
use the supplied screws 2.

•To prevent malfunction, be sure to install using

brackets and the supplied screws 1 or 2.

• Do not apply excessive force to the buttons of the
unit.

• Do not push on the display window.

• Before mounting, make sure there is nothing on
the top of the unit.

Warning when installing in a car
without ACC (accessory)
position on the ignition key
switch

Be sure to press (OFF) on the unit for two
seconds to turn off the clock display after
turning off the engine.

When you press (OFF) only momentarily, the
clock display does not turn off and this causes
battery wear.

Reset button

When the installation and connections are
completed, be sure to press the reset button with
a ball-point pen, etc.

오.

본기를 자동차 설치 설치판에 설치할 때에는 자동차에
따라서는 도요타는 T, 미쓰비시는 M, 닛산은 N의 바
른 나사 구멍에 나사 1 또는 2를 설치하여 주십시오.

Note

When you connect the power supply cord to the
unit or reset the unit, wait for about 10 seconds
before you insert a disc. If you insert a disc within
these 10 seconds, the unit will not be reset, and you
will have to press the reset button again.
