WARNING
Do not install the Wireless Speaker in a confined space, such as a
bookcase or built-in cabinet.
To reduce the risk of fire, do not cover the ventilation opening of the
Wireless Speaker with newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
Do not expose the Wireless Speaker to naked flame sources (for
example, lighted candles).
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this Wireless
Speaker to dripping or splashing, and do not place objects filled with
liquids, such as vases, on the Wireless Speaker.
The AC adapter is not disconnected from the mains as long as it is
connected to the AC outlet, even if the Wireless Speaker itself has been
turned off.
As the main plug of AC power adapter is used to disconnect the AC
power adapter from the mains, connect it to an easily accessible AC
outlet. Should you notice an abnormality in it, disconnect it from the AC
outlet immediately.
Do not place this product close to medical devices
This product (including accessories) has magnet(s) which may interfere
with pacemakers, programmable shunt valves for hydrocephalus
treatment, or other medical devices. Do not place this product close
to persons who use such medical devices. Consult your doctor before
using this product if you use any such medical device.
Recommended cables
Properly shielded and grounded cables and connectors must be used
for connection to host computers and/or peripherals.
For the Wireless Speaker
The nameplate is located on the bottom of the Wireless Speaker.
For the AC adapter
Labels for AC adapter Model No. and Serial No. are located at the
bottom of AC adapter.
For the customers in Taiwan
The operations near the radar system shall not be influenced.
The directed antenna with high gain must apply to the fixed point-topoint system only.
For the customers other than in Taiwan
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
set out in the EMC regulation using a connection cable shorter than
3meters.

Precautions
On safety
Should any solid object or liquid fall into the product, unplug it and have
it checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.
On power sources
• Before operating the product, check that the operating voltage is
identical with your local power supply.
The operating voltage is indicated on the nameplate on the bottom of
the product.
• The product is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as
long as it is connected to the wall outlet, even if the product itself has
been turned off.
• If you are not going to use the product for a long time, be sure to
disconnect it from the wall outlet. To disconnect the AC power cord,
grasp the plug itself; never pull the cord.
On placement
• Do not set the product in an inclined position.
• Place the product in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent
heat buildup and prolong the life of the product.
• Do not place the product near heat sources, or in a place subject to
direct sunlight, excessive dust, or mechanical shock.
• Do not place anything on top of the product that might cause
malfunctions.
• Use caution when placing the product on surfaces that have been
specially treated (with wax, oil, polish, etc.) as staining or discoloration
of the surface may result.
On cleaning
Clean this product with a soft cloth slightly moistened with a mild
detergent solution. Do not use any type of abrasive pads, scouring
powder, or solvents, such as thinner, benzine, or alcohol.
If you have any questions or problems concerning this product, please
consult your nearest Sony dealer.
Notes on the update
The software of this product will be automatically updated to the latest
software while connected to the Internet via a Wi-Fi® network.
The software update will be delivered from time to time when, for
example, a new feature becomes available or the update is required for
stable use.
Such automatic software feature may not be disabled. Also, previous
versions of the software cannot be retrievable.
Do not turn off power of this product while updating. The product may
not be operational while updating.
To use this product, a Wi-Fi environment and Google Account are
necessary, as well as your consent to Google Terms of Use and/or
Privacy Policy. By using this product, you agree to Sony’s EULA. Software
for this product is automatically updated from time to time and you
cannot choose or refuse to load such automatic software.

separate end user license agreement (including, but not limited to, GNU

EXCLUDED SOFTWARE AND OPEN SOURCE COMPONENTS
Notwithstanding the foregoing limited license grant, you acknowledge
that the SOFTWARE may include EXCLUDED SOFTWARE. Certain

or technical limitations of your Internet connection and service. The

responsibility of the third party providing such service.
EXPORT AND OTHER REGULATIONS
You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export
restrictions and regulations of the area or country in which you reside

SOFTWARE to a prohibited country or otherwise in violation of any such

HIGH RISK ACTIVITIES
The SOFTWARE is not fault-tolerant and is not designed, manufactured

sole risk and that you are responsible for use of the SOFTWARE. The
SOFTWARE is provided “AS IS,” without warranty, duty or condition of

SONY AND EACH OF THE THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS (for purposes
of this Section, SONY and each of the THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS
shall be collectively referred to as “SONY”) EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM
ALL WARRANTIES, DUTIES OR CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY, NONINFRINGEMENT AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SONY DOES NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY

STRICT LIABILITY OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY RELATED TO
THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY DAMAGES
ARISING OUT OF LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA,
LOSS OF USE OF THE SOFTWARE OR ANY ASSOCIATED HARDWARE,
DOWN TIME AND USER’S TIME, EVEN IF ANY OF THEM HAVE BEEN
ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ANY CASE, EACH
AND ALL OF THEIR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER ANY PROVISION OF

CONSENT TO USE OF CERTAIN INFORMATION, LOCATION DATA, DATA
SECURITY
SONY and its affiliates, partners and agents may use your IP address
to connect your DEVICE to the Internet for the purpose of SOFTWARE
updates. You acknowledge that THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS may
read, collect, transfer, process and store certain information collected
from the SOFTWARE, including but not limited to information about
(i) the SOFTWARE and (ii) the software applications, contents and
peripheral devices that interact with your DEVICE and the SOFTWARE
(“Information”). Information includes, but is not limited to: (1) unique
identifiers relating to your DEVICE and its components; (2) performance
of the DEVICE, the SOFTWARE and their components; (3) configurations
of your DEVICE, the SOFTWARE and the software applications, contents

(4) use and frequency of use of the functions of (x) the SOFTWARE,
and (y) the software applications, contents and peripheral devices that

THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS may use and disclose Information
subject to applicable laws in order to improve its products and services
or to provide products or services to you. Such uses include, but are not
limited to: (a) administering the functionalities of the SOFTWARE; (b)
to improve, service, update or upgrade the SOFTWARE; (c) improving,
developing and enhancing the current and future products and services
of THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS and other parties; (d) to provide
you with information about the products and services offered by THIRD
PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS and other parties; (e) complying with
applicable laws or regulations; and (f) to the extent offered, providing
you with location-based services of THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
and other parties, as indicated below. In addition, THIRD PARTY
SERVICE PROVIDERS may retain the right to use Information to protect
themselves and third parties from illegal, criminal or harmful conduct.
Certain services available through the SOFTWARE may rely upon
location information, including, but not limited to, the geographic
location of the DEVICE. You acknowledge that for the purpose of
providing such services, the THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS, THIRD PARTY
SERVICE PROVIDERS or their partners may collect, archive, process and
use such location data, and that such services are governed by the
privacy policies of such third party. By using any such services, you
agree that you have reviewed the privacy policies applicable to such
services and consent to such activities.
SONY, its affiliates, partners and agents will not intentionally use
Information to personally identify the owner or user of the SOFTWARE
without your knowledge or consent. Any use of Information will be in
accordance with the privacy policies of SONY or such third party. Please

Please contact applicable third parties for privacy policies relating to
personally identifiable and other information you provide when you use

Information may be processed, stored or transferred to SONY, its

certain countries may not offer the same level of protection as your
country of residence and you may have fewer legal rights in relation to
Information processed and stored in, or transferred to, such countries.
SONY will use reasonable efforts to take appropriate technical and
organizational steps to prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of
Information, but does not warrant it will eliminate all risk of misuse of
such Information.
AUTOMATIC UPDATE FEATURE
From time to time, SONY, the THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS or THIRD
PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS may automatically update or otherwise
modify the SOFTWARE, including, but not limited to, for purposes of
enhancement of security functions, error correction and improvement
of functions, at such time as you interact this DEVICE with SONY’s or
third parties’ servers, or otherwise. Such updates or modifications
may delete or change the nature of features or other aspects of the
SOFTWARE, including, but not limited to, functions you may rely upon.
You acknowledge and agree that such activities may occur at SONY’s
sole discretion and that SONY may condition continued use of the
SOFTWARE upon your complete installation or acceptance of such
update or modifications. Any updates/modifications shall be deemed
to be, and shall constitute part of, the SOFTWARE for purposes of
this EULA. By acceptance of this EULA, you consent to such update/
modification.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT, WAIVER, SEVERABILITY
This EULA and SONY’s privacy policy, each as amended and modified
from time to time, together constitute the entire agreement between
you and SONY with respect to the SOFTWARE. The failure of SONY
to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this EULA shall not
constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any part of this EULA is
held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced
to the maximum extent permissible so as to maintain the intent of this
EULA, and the other parts will remain in full force and effect.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of
Goods shall not apply to this EULA. This EULA shall be governed by the
laws of Japan, without regards to conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute
arising out of this EULA shall be subject to the exclusive venue of the
Tokyo District Court in Japan, and the parties hereby consent to the
venue and jurisdiction of such courts.
EQUITABLE REMEDIES
Notwithstanding anything contained in this EULA to the contrary,
you acknowledge and agree that any violation of or non-compliance
with this EULA by you will cause irreparable harm to SONY, for which
monetary damages would be inadequate, and you consent to SONY
obtaining any injunctive or equitable relief that SONY deems necessary
or appropriate in such circumstances. SONY may also take any legal and
technical remedies to prevent violation of and/or to enforce this EULA,
including, but not limited to, immediate termination of your use of the
SOFTWARE, if SONY believes in its sole discretion that you are violating
or intend to violate this EULA. These remedies are in addition to any
other remedies SONY may have at law, in equity or under contract.
TERMINATION
Without prejudice to any of its other rights, SONY may terminate
this EULA if you fail to comply with any of its terms. In case of such
termination, you must: (i) cease all use, and destroy any copies, of the
SOFTWARE; (ii) comply with the requirements in the section below
entitled “Your Account Responsibilities”.
AMENDMENT
SONY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO AMEND ANY OF THE TERMS OF THIS
EULA AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION BY POSTING NOTICE ON A SONY
DESIGNATED WEB SITE, BY EMAIL NOTIFICATION TO AN EMAIL ADDRESS
PROVIDED BY YOU, BY PROVIDING NOTICE AS PART OF THE PROCESS
IN WHICH YOU OBTAIN UPGRADES/UPDATES OR BY ANY OTHER
LEGALLY RECOGNIZABLE FORM OF NOTICE. If you do not agree to
the amendment, you should promptly contact SONY for instructions.
Your continued use of the SOFTWARE after the effective date of any
such notice shall be deemed your agreement to be bound by such
amendment.
THIRD-PARTY BENEFICIARIES
Each THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIER is an express intended third-party
beneficiary of, and shall have the right to enforce, each provision of this
EULA with respect to the SOFTWARE of such party.
YOUR ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITIES
Should you return your DEVICE to its place of purchase, sell or otherwise
transfer your DEVICE, or if this EULA is terminated, you are responsible
for and must delete any and all accounts you may have established on
DEVICE or are accessible through this DEVICE. You are solely responsible
for maintaining the confidentiality of any accounts you have with SONY
or third parties and any usernames and passwords associated with your
use of the DEVICE.

您同意遵守個人居住所在區域或國家之所有適用出口及轉出口限制與規範，
並且不得將本軟體轉運或授權轉運至禁止國家，亦不得進行其他違反此類限
制或規範之行為。
高風險活動
本軟體非容錯軟體，且亦非專為作為可在危險環境下發揮失效安全效能之
線上控制設備軟體所設計、製造、使用或轉售，此類應用包括在操作核能
設施、飛機導航或通訊系統、空中交通管制、維生機器或武器系統時，萬
一本軟體失效，將可能導致死亡、人員受傷或嚴重物理或環境傷害之情況

此類資訊可能會經過處理、儲存或傳輸至您居住所在國家以外地區之
SONY、SONY 關係企業或代理人。某些國家的資料保護與資訊隱私權法可能
未提供與您居住國家相同等級之保護，因此本資訊在經過處理、儲存或傳輸
至此類國家時，您所受的法律保障可能較少。SONY 將盡合理努力採取適當
之技術與組織措施防止本資訊遭未經授權存取或揭露，但無法擔保可免除所
有此類資訊遭到誤用之風險。
自動更新功能
SONY、第三方供應商或第三方服務供應商將不定時自動更新或修改本軟
體，其中包括但不限於在您使用本裝置與 SONY 或第三方伺服器時，強化安
全性功能、修正錯誤以及改良功能等。此類更新或修改可能會刪除或變更
本軟體之功能本質或其他層面，其中包括但不限於您可能仰賴的功能。您
理解並同意 SONY 可獨自酌情進行此類活動，且 SONY 可根據您的完整安裝
或對此類更新或修改之接受度，調整本軟體之後續使用。任何更新／修改應
視為 SONY 為實踐本 EULA 所執行之操作，並構成本軟體之一部分。接受本
EULA，即表示您同意此類更新／修改。
完整協議、權利之放棄、契約條文之個別有效性
本 EULA 及 SONY 隱私權政策均不時修正與修改，兩者即構成您與 SONY 之
間與本軟體相關之完整協議。SONY 如未能行使或履行本 EULA 之任何權利
或條款，不構成對該權利或條款之放棄。若本 EULA 之任何部分經認定無
效、違法或無法履行，則該條款應於最大允許程度下執行，以維持本 EULA
之用意，其他部分仍完全適用及有效。
準據法與管轄權
聯合國國際貨物銷售合同公約不適用於本 EULA。本 EULA 受日本法律管轄，
不受法律條款抵觸之約束。任何因本 EULA 所引起之糾紛應交由日本東京地
方裁判所全權判決，且當事方在此亦同意該等法院之管轄權。
衡平救濟
您瞭解並同意，即使與本 EULA 任何內容有所違背，但若您個人違反或未遵
守本 EULA 之條款，將對 SONY 造成即使透過補償性損害賠償金亦無法彌補
之傷害，因此您同意 SONY 取得任何 SONY 在此等情況下視為必要或適當之
禁令性或衡平救濟。SONY 亦將採取任何法律與技術救濟措施防止本 EULA
之違約情事並／或全力履行本 EULA 內容，其中包括但不限於SONY 經獨自
酌情後認為您已違反或意圖違反本 EULA，而即刻終止您對本軟體之使用
權。此類救濟措施係 SONY 除法律、衡平法或合約條例外，將另行採取之救
濟做法。
契約之終止
在不侵害其他任何權利之情況下，若您未能遵守本 EULA 之任一條款，則
SONY 可終止本協議。如因此等情況終止協議，則您必須：(i) 停止使用本軟
體，並銷毀本軟體所有複本；(ii) 遵守“您的帳戶責任”一節所述之要求。
契約之修正
SONY 保留按獨自酌情權修正本 EULA 任一條款之權利，修正後之條款將於
SONY 指定網站發佈通知、透過您所提供的電子郵件地址寄送電子郵件通
知、在您取得升級／更新過程中提供通知，或透過其他法律認可之通知形式
告知。若您不同意修正條款之內容，則應立即聯繫 SONY，取得後續指示。
若您在此等通知生效日後繼續使用本軟體，則將視為您同意受此等修正條
款約束。
第三方受益人
各第三方供應商均為明定之第三方受益人，並有權針對此類當事方所提供之
軟體，履行本 EULA 之各項條款。
您的帳戶責任
若您將本裝置退還至購買地點、銷售或轉讓本裝置，或本 EULA 終止，則您
應有責任徹底刪除任何及所有您曾在本裝置上建立或可透過本裝置存取之帳
戶。您與 SONY 或第三方所持有之帳戶，以及任何您用於存取本裝置之使用
者名稱與密碼，應由您自行負責此類資料之機密性。
