*1 The NSR-S10/S20 captures video for recording from these camera models at all times
regardless of whether images are recorded or not. Only for monitoring images, the
bit rate of recorded video must be considered in calculating network bandwidth.
(S10:55)
*2 The same settings between recording and displaying for the SNC-RZ50 can be
configured. As selecting H.264 for the codec disables motion detection, using JPEG or
MPEG4 is recommended. (S10:32)
*3 As the motion detection on the SNC-RZ25 cannot be used when the codec is set to
MJPEG, using MPEG4 is recommended. Then, the maximum frame rate is 15fps at

MPEG-4/VGA setting.
Note
Camera setup and operating precautions are described in the following sections. For
details on other restrictions and precautions, refer to the operating instructions and
release notes supplied with the camera.
For network cameras which support 16:9 aspect ratio such as 1920x1080 resolution,
16:9 aspect ratio is a factory default setting. The NSR-S10/S20 is mainly designed
for such cameras.
In such cameras, please do not change the aspect ratio to 4:3 (or Maximum image
size in some cameras). If it is changed via web browser, the NSR-S10/S20 cannot
communicate video settings with cameras correctly. (S10:199)
So the maximum video size of the system for Recording is 1920x1080.
When you select [Video Size] 1280x720 and larger for Recording, the maximum
frame rate become 15 fps.
When you select [Video Size] 1920x1080 and [Video Format] MJPEG, [Quality] 10
cannot be selected. (S10:175)
Make the required settings on the NSR-S10/S20 to change camera resolution,
compression format and other video codec values. Changing camera settings using
a Web browser is an operation that is not guaranteed to work. (S10:10)
A camera that supports audio recording will deliver an audio stream at all times.
However, to record audio the “Enable Audio" check box must also be selected.
(S10:61)
As for a video size for recording of SNT series, the descriptions of the "Setting
values for automatic registration" in the Installation Manual and the First Step
Guide are wrong. (S10:205)
Error: NTSC 720x480, PAL 720x576
Correction: (Both NTSC and PAL) 704x576
