Subject: Software Packages Follow-Up for EX-2L Satellite Models [REVISION 9]

SYMPTOM

The latest software packages are valid for all EX-2L Satellite models. Amongst others, they can be used to solve
the issues below.

* After entering in standby and powering on, the set enters into error mode
(red standby indicator LED blinks 10 times).

Summer time operation

* Inconsistency between DVB-T and DVB-S time when summertime is activated with timer

* When watching DVB-S freesat Sky multiscreen service and selecting the Sports option
in the Multiscreen menu, nothing happens.

SOLUTION

Download and install the latest software package(s) using the attached file(s).

1. Regular SW update
To remedy one of the above issues, install the “MSImage_*.zip” file indicated in the table below and following the

abridged update procedure (8 steps) below.

1. After unzipping, a folder “eg2l_dvt” will be created. Copy this entire folder into the root of the Memory Stick.

2. Unplug the power cord. (Do not touch the [Power] key or [Standby] key on the remote commander!)

3. Insert the Memory Stick.

4. Plug the power cord.
NOTE

: In case of “Error 10: LED blinking”, the defect code is “12” for a remedying measure. For the R4/5 issues,

refer to the condition code tables in the respective bulletins.

5. Wait for 4-6 minutes, until all LEDs are on. Initially only the green LED is on. Finally all LEDs will be on. The
screen stays without picture.

6. Unplug the power cord, and take out the Memory Stick.

7. Plug the power cord.

8. Wait for 3-4 minutes to finish the EMMA resource updating. Normally the TV will reboot when finishing.

2. Board Exchange update
In case of a board exchange, follow the full update procedure as outlined in TB 09TV097.
