2. FUNKTIONEN
2.1 Aufstellen der Waage und Inbetriebnahme
Steckernetzteil anschließen um die Waage mit Strom zu versorgen.
Hinweis für Akkuverison:
Bei Erstinbetriebnahme der Waage den Akku vorab für 5 Stunden aufladen!
2.2 Bedienung Anzeigegerät Standard 3710
Einschalten
Drücken Sie bei unbelasteter Waage die ON/OFF-Taste.
Nach Ablauf der Prüfroutine wird kurzzeitig der Eichzähler angezeigt
und anschließend schaltet die Anzeige auf Null.
Eichzähler: Keine Fehlermeldung.
Die Waage ist wägebereit.
Wägen
Auf der Anzeige erscheint das Gewicht.
Tarieren
Manuelles Tarieren
Bei belasteter Waage TARA-Taste drücken.
Die Anzeige geht auf Null und zeigt das N für Netto an.
Das Tarieren ist innerhalb des gesamten Wägebereichs möglich.
Tara-Handeingabe
Dazu muss im Einstell-Modus für die Belegung der Funktions-Taste
„Tara-Handeingabe” ausgewählt sein. Einstellung Funktions-Taste siehe
Usermode 3710 (siehe separate Beschreibung 470.702.099, bei Bedarf
beim Waagenhandel oder Soehnle Industrial Solutions anfordern)

Wert mit der Tara-Taste oder der Funktions-Taste einstellen. Durch
kurzes Drücken wird der Wert einzeln hoch bzw. runter getaktet. Mit
permanentem Druck läuft die Anzeige hoch bzw. runter.
Der eingestellte Wert wird durch Drücken der Druck-Taste
übernommen.
Tara löschen
Die Nullstell-Taste kurz drücken und Tara ist gelöscht.
Tarainfo
Bei kurzem Drücken wird das Taragewicht gelöscht. Bei langem Drücken
bis die Gewichtsanzeige blinkt, wird das Taragewicht angezeigt und
nicht gelöscht.
Zwischentara-Funktion
Eine Zwischentara-Funktion kann auf die Funktions-Taste gelegt
werden.
Einstellung Funktions-Taste siehe Usermode 3710 (siehe separate
Beschreibung 470.702.099, bei Bedarf beim Waagenhandel oder Soehnle
Industrial Solutions anfordern)
Unbekannte Tarawerte werden zum bestehenden Tarawert addiert,
ohne die Nettoanzeige zu verändern.
Nach Betätigung der Funktions-Taste erscheint ”hold” in der Anzeige.
Zusätzliches Tara-Gewicht auflegen oder Tara-Gewicht von der
Plattform nehmen.
Die Übernahme des neuen Tarawertes erfolgt mit der Druck-Taste.
Zweite Einheit umstellen
Die Möglichkeit der Gewichtseinheiten - Umschaltung muss im KalibrierModus freigegeben werden.
Eine kg – lb – Umstellung ist nur bei der nicht eichfähigen Ausführung
möglich!
Im Einstell-Modus muss für die Belegung der Funktions-Taste „Zweite
Einheit” ausgewählt sein! Einstellung Funktions-Taste siehe Usermode

Hold-Funktion
3710 (siehe separate Beschreibung 470.702.099, bei Bedarf beim
Waagenhandel oder Soehnle Industrial Solutions anfordern)
Umschaltung:
Durch Drücken der Funktions-Taste wird die Einheit umgeschaltet.
Die Hold-Funktionsaktivierung über die Funktions-Taste wird im
Einstellmodus aktiviert. Einstellung Funktions-Taste siehe Usermode
3710 (siehe separate Beschreibung 470.702.099, bei Bedarf beim
Waagenhandel oder Soehnle Industrial Solutions anfordern)
Im Wägebetrieb wird die Holdfunktion durch Drücken der FunktionsTaste ausgelöst.
Um Gewichtsdaten einzufrieren, stehen folgende Holdfunktionen
standardmäßig zur Verfügung. Default ist „0“.
Die Einstellung der Hold-Funktion erfolgt im Einstellmodus (siehe
separate Beschreibung 470.702.099 Usermode 3710, bei Bedarf beim
Waagenhandel oder Soehnle Industrial Solutions anfordern)

Neutrales Messen
Im Einstell-Modus muss für die Belegung der Funktions-Taste
„Neutrales Messen“ ausgewählt sein! Einstellung Funktions-Taste siehe
Kapitel 1.13 oder Usermode 3710 (siehe separate Beschreibung
470.702.099, bei Bedarf beim Waagenhandel oder Soehnle Industrial
Solutions anfordern)
Der Faktor für die Eingabe des spezifischen Gewichtes ist die Menge
des zu messenden Stoffes bezogen auf die justierte Einheit (1 kg/1 g/
1 lb).
Eingabe des Faktors für die Umrechnung im Einstellmodus
Druck- und danach zusammen mit der ON/OFF-Taste 5 Sekunden lang
betätigen bis UCAL 1 erscheint.
Mit der Druck-Taste in den UCAL 1 gehen.
Rückwärtstakten mit der Funktions-Taste bis zur Pos. 26.
Mit der Druck-Taste in das Eingabefeld für Nachkommastellen des
Faktors gehen.
Die Anzahl der Nachkommastellen mit der Tara-Taste und FunktionsTaste einstellen.
Übernahme durch die Druck-Taste, Anzeige geht auf die Pos. 27.
Mit der Druck-Taste in das Eingabefeld für den Faktor Neutrales
Messen gehen.

Nullstellen
Ausschalten
Mit der Tara-Taste und Funktions-Taste den Zahlenwert an der
blinkenden Stelle einstellen.
Dekadenweiterschaltung von rechts nach links erfolgt über die
Nullstell-Taste.
Nach der Einstellung des Faktors „Neutrales Messen“ mit Druck-Taste
übernehmen, Pos. 01 wird angezeigt.
Nullstell-Taste betätigen, UCAL 1wird im Display angezeigt.
Verlassen und Speichern der Einstellung mit der Druck- und danach
kurz zusammen mit der Nullstell-Taste, Anzeige geht zurück in den
Wägemodus.
Anwendung Neutrales Messen
Aktivierung Funktion „Neutrales Messen“ über die Funktions-Taste.
Im Display erscheint nEUtrAL für „Neutrales Messen“ mit der DruckTaste bestätigen.
Die Wertanzeige erscheint mit dem eingestellten Faktor ohne
Gewichtseinheit. Der Waagenstillstand wird im Display durch ein Dreieck
links oben dargestellt.
Mit der ON/OFF-Taste kommt man zurück in den Wägemodus.
Drücken Sie die Nullstell-Taste zur Korrektur kleiner Abweichungen vom
Nullpunkt, z.B. durch Verschmutzung der Waage.
Nullstellbereich eichfähig und nicht eichfähig: -1 bis +3% des
Wägebereichs.
Drücken Sie die ON/OFF-Taste um die Waage auszuschalten.
Bei leerer Waage und bei 0-Gewichtsanzeige sofort möglich.

Bei belasteter Waage die ON/OFF-Taste für 5 Sekunden gedrückt
halten.
Durch Drücken der Taste geht das Gerät aus. Durch Ausstecken des Netzsteckers aus der
Steckdose ist das Gerät allpolig vom Netz getrennt. Der Betrieb ist damit sicher beendet.
Hinweis für die Ausführung mit Akku:
Erscheint auf der Anzeige »0,0 kg«, schaltet sich die Waage automatisch nach
voreingestellter Zeit ab. Über die ON/OFF-Taste wird die Anzeige wieder aktiviert.

4. ALLGEMEINE HINWEISE
4.1 Technische Daten

Feuchte: 20 % bis 85 % relative Feuchte nicht kondensierend

Akkubetrieb: 7,2 Volt

Zu verwendendes Netzteil: Steckernetzteil 618.020.070

4.2 Verwendungszweck
Diese Waage ist für den eichpflichtigen Verkehr vorgesehen. Sie entspricht den geltenden
Anforderungen der EG-Richtlinien 2014/30/EU, 2014/35/EU, 2014/31/EU.
Diese Gebrauchsanweisung ist Bestandteil des Gerätes. Das genaue Beachten dieser
Anweisung ist Vorraussetzung für den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch und die richtige
Bedienung des Gerätes.
Soehnle Professional übernimmt nur dann die Verantwortung für die Sicherheit des Gerätes,
wenn die Hinweise beachtet und das Gerät in Übereinstimmung mit der Gebrauchsanweisung
betrieben werden. Der Anwender hat sich vor dem Gebrauch des Gerätes von der
Funktionssicherheit und dem ordnungsgemäßen Zustand des Gerätes zu überzeugen. Der
Anwender muss mit der Bedienung des Gerätes vertraut sein. Das Gerät ist nicht für
explosionsgefährdete Bereiche bestimmt.
4.4 Sicherheitshinweis
Dieses Gerät ist nur für den professionellen Gebrauch konzipiert. Lesen Sie bitte vor
Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes die in der Gebrauchsanweisung aufgeführten Informationen
sorgfältig durch. Sie enthalten wichtige Hinweise für die Installation, die bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung und die Wartung des Gerätes. Der Hersteller haftet nicht, wenn
nachstehende Hinweise nicht beachtet werden: Bei Verwendung elektrischer Komponenten
unter erhöhten Sicherheitsanforderungen sind die entsprechenden Bestimmungen
einzuhalten. Arbeiten am Gerät nie unter Spannung durchführen.
Dieses Gerät ist entsprechend der geltenden EG-Richtlinie 2014/30/EU funkentstört. Unter
extremen elektrostatischen sowie elektromagnetischen Einflüssen z. B. beim Betreiben eines

Funkgerätes oder Mobiltelefons in unmittelbarer Nähe des Gerätes kann jedoch eine
Beeinflussung des Anzeigewertes verursacht werden. Nach Ende des Störeinflusses ist das
Produkt wieder bestimmungsgemäß benutzbar, ggfs. ist ein Wiedereinschalten erforderlich.
Bei permanenten elektrostatischen Störeinflüssen kontaktieren Sie bitte den zuständigen
Servicepartner.
Das Gerät ist ein Messinstrument. Luftzug, Vibrationen, schnelle Temperaturänderungen
und Sonneneinstrahlung können zur Beeinflussung des Wägeergebnisses führen.
Die Waage entspricht der Schutzart IP42. Hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, Dämpfe, aggressive
Flüssigkeiten und starke Verschmutzung sind zu vermeiden.
Bei unsachgemäßer Installation entfällt die Gewährleistung. Elektrische
Anschlussbedingungen müssen mit den auf dem Netzgerät aufgedruckten Werten
übereinstimmen. Die Geräte sind für den Betrieb in Gebäuden konzipiert. Beachten Sie die
zulässigen Umgebungstemperaturen für den Betrieb (siehe Technische Daten). Das Gerät
erfüllt die Anforderungen zur elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit. Überschreitungen der in
den Normen festgelegten Höchstwerte sind zu vermeiden. Bei bestimmungsgemäßem
Gebrauch besteht keine Gefahr einer Beeinflussung für andere Geräte durch dieses
Produkt. Wenden Sie sich bei Problemen an Ihren Soehnle Professional-Servicepartner.
Warnung: Dieses Gerät darf ohne Erlaubnis des Herstellers nicht verändert werden. Wird das
Gerät verändert, müssen zur Sicherstellung für den weiteren sicheren Gebrauch geeignete
Untersuchungen und Prüfungen durchgeführt werden.
4.5 Reinigung
Vor jeder Reinigung ist das Gerät durch Ziehen des Netzsteckers vom Netz zu trennen. Das
Gerät darf nur mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt werden. Auf keinen Fall darf Wasser in das
Gerät eindringen
4.6 Wartung und Service
Die Messtechnische Kontrolle wurde bei der Herstellung durch die Ersteichung durchgeführt.
Weitere regelmäßige messtechnische Kontrollen (Nacheichungen) sind entsprechend den
jeweiligen nationalen Regeln durch die zuständigen Eichbehörden durchzuführen.
Reparaturen und Austausch der Netzanschlussleitung dürfen nur von einer durch Soehnle
Professional autorisierten Stelle unter Verwendung von Originalersatzteilen durchgeführt
werden.
Das Gerät sollte regelmäßig einer vorbeugenden Inspektion unterzogen werden (6-monatige
Intervalle). Dazu die Waage mit einem bekannten Gewicht belasten und den Wert in der
Anzeige mit dem Prüfgewicht vergleichen. Bei Abweichungen muss eine Instandhaltung bzw.
Justage erfolgen.
Wenn das Gerät nicht bestimmungsgemäß arbeitet, liegt der Verdacht auf einen Schaden vor.
Das Gerät muss dann unbedingt einer von Soehnle Professional autorisierten Servicestation
zugeführt werden.

Hinweis für Akkuversion:
Die Funktion der eingebauten Akkus sollte in periodischen Abständen überprüft werden. Bei
Bedarf muss der Akku durch geschultes Servicepersonal ausgetauscht werden. Geeignetes
Werkzeug ist hierfür erforderlich.

4.8 Batterie- und Akku-Entsorgung
Batterien und Akkus, die Schadstoffe enthalten, sind mit dem Symbol einer
durchgestrichenen Mülltonne gekennzeichnet und dürfen nicht über den Hausmüll
entsorgt werden. Als Verbraucher sind Sie gesetzlich dazu verpflichtet, gebrauchte
Batterien und Akkus zurückzugeben. Sie können Ihre alten Batterien und Akkus als
Sondermüll bei den öffentlichen Sammelstellen in Ihrer Gemeinde oder überall dort abgeben,
wo Batterien der betreffenden Art verkauft werden. Diese Zeichen finden Sie auf
schadstoffhaltigen Batterien: Pb = Batterie enthält Blei, Cd = Batterie enthält Cadmium,
Hg = Batterie enthält Quecksilber.
4.9 Entsorgung der Waage
Das Gerät enthält nach dem derzeitigen Wissensstand keine speziell umweltgefährdenden
Stoffe. Dieses Produkt ist nicht als normaler Abfall zu behandeln, sondern muss an einer
Annahmestelle für das Recycling von elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten abgegeben
werden. Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie über Ihre Gemeinde, die kommunalen
Entsorgungsbetriebe oder der Firma, von der Sie das Produkt gekauft haben.

6. WARNHINWEISE
> Im Falle einer Fehlfunktion kontaktieren Sie den Händler oder den Hersteller. Nicht
autorisierte Änderungen oder Reparaturen können Ihre Waage beschädigen und zum
Erlöschen der Herstellergewährleistung führen.
> Zusätzlich sind die Soehnle Professional Garantiebedingungen unter www.soehnle-
professional.com zu beachten.
> Anzeigegeräte dürfen nicht nass werden. Flüssigkeiten (z.B. Wasser) können die Anzeigen
beschädigen. Benutzen Sie ein trockenes Tuch, z.B. ein Handtuch um die Anzeige
abzutrocknen.
> Unterbrechen Sie die Spannungsversorgung zu diesem Gerät vor der Installation, Reinigung
oder Wartung. Andernfalls könnte das Gerät beschädigt werden.
> Setzen Sie die Anzeige keinem direkten Sonnenlicht aus. Dies könnte zu
Farbveränderungen führen.
> Wenn die Anzeige für einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzt werden soll, entfernen Sie die
Stromversorgung oder schalten Sie die Anzeige bei Akkubetrieb aus. Laden Sie die Akkus
nach spätestens 4 Wochen wieder auf, um die Selbstentladung zu kompensieren.
> Vermeiden Sie es, Materialien auf der Anzeige zu stapeln oder die Anzeige mit Gewichten
zu belasten. Dies kann zu Beschädigungen führen.
> Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen festen, stabilen und ebenen Untergrund und nivellieren Sie
diese über die integrierte Libelle aus, so dass genaue Messergebnisse gewährleistet
werden können. Bei Teppichböden oder bei Neigung verändern sich die Messergebnisse.
> Schließen Sie die Anzeige nicht an instabile Stromquellen an.
> Verwenden Sie nur von Soehnle Industrial Solutions zugelassene Anbau- und Zubehörteile.
Die Benutzung nicht von Soehnle Industrial Solutions zugelassener Fabrikate kann zu
Schäden am Terminal führen.

2. FUNCTIONS
2.1 Setting up the scales and start-up
For design reasons, these scales should be used only on level floors. If the set-up location is
in Germany, the flatness requirement is met if the floor is within the tolerances for screeded
floors defined in DIN 18202, Table 3, Row 4. For other countries, please refer to the
relevant national standards. If desired the scales can be adjusted with the help of the
supplied underlay plates.
Connect the power adapter to the scales.
Ensure that there is clear access to the power socket.
Note for version with recheargeable battery:
Before the initial start-up of the scales, the battery must first be charged for 5 hours!
During charging a blue control light flashes in the housing (this control light is found on the
side of 3710). As soon as the battery has finished charging, the LED stops.
Before using the scales the connections to the arm and foot rests or rails must be checked
to ensure they are secure.
The scales should only be used by trained personnel. It is not designed to be used by the
patient.
2.2 Operating the display unit Standard 3710
Turning on
Remove any weights from the scales and press the ON/OFF button.

Taring
Manual taring
Place some paper towels or seat covers on the scales and press the
TARA button.
The display shows zero and the letter N for net weight.
Taring is possible over the entire weight range.
Manual tare input
To program the Function key, "Manual Tare Input" must be selected in
Setting mode. For Function key settings, see User mode 3710 (see
separate description 470.702.099, when needed for using scales or
request Soehnle Industrial Solutions).
Set the value using the Tare button or Function key. Press briefly to
increase or decrease the value by one. Press and hold to scroll rapidly
through the values.
The selected value is stored by pressing the Print button.
Cancel taring
Press the Zero button shortly to cancel taring.
Tare info
If you press the button briefly, the tare weight is deleted. If you press
and hold until the weight indication flashes, the tare weight is
displayed and not deleted.
Temporary tare function)
The dialysis tare function can be assigned to the Function key.

Unknown tare values are added to the existing tare value without

Place an additional tare weight or remove the tare weight from the

Hold function
The Hold function is activated with the Function key in Setting mode.
For Function key settings, see User mode 3710 (see separate
description 470.702.099, when needed for using scales or request
Soehnle Industrial Solutions).
In weighing mode, the Hold function is activated by pressing the
Function key.
In order to freeze the weight data, the following hold functions are
available as standard. Default is "0".
For Hold Function settings are carried out in the Setting Mode (see
separate description 470.702.099, User mode 3710, when needed for
using scales or request Soehnle Industrial Solutions).

Neutral measurement
To program the Function key, "Neutral measurement" must be selected

The factor for entering the specific weight is the quantity of the
measured material relative to the calibrated unit weight (1 kg/1 g/
1 lb).

Press the Print button to go into UCAL 1.
Using the Function key, scroll back to Position 26.
Use the Print button in the input field to go into the decimal places.
Set the number of decimal places with the Tare button and Function
key.
Store with the Print button, the display goes to Position 27.
Use the Print button to go into the input field for the neutral
measurement factor.
Using the Tare button and Function key, set a number value in the
flashing space.
You can use the Zero button to move by one decade from right to left.
After setting the "Neutral Measurement" factor, store with the Print
button, Position 01 is displayed.
Press the Zero button, appears on the display.
To save the setting and exit, press and hold the Print button then
briefly press the Zero button. The display returns to weighing mode.
Neutral measurement application
Activate the "Neutral Measurement" function with the Function key.
The display shows nEUtrAL for "Neutral Measurement", confirm with
the Print button.
The display value appears along with the selected factor without a unit
weight. Stabilisation of the scales is represented on the display by a
triangle at the top left.
Press the ON/Off button to return to weighing mode.

Zero setting
Press the Zero button to correct any minor deviations from the zero
point, which may be caused by dirt on the scales.
Verifiable and non-verifiable zero setting range: -1 to +3% of the
weighing range.
Turning off
Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the scales.
If the scales are empty and the display indicates 0 weight, the scales
can be switched off immediately.
If the scales are loaded, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5
seconds.
The equipment switches off when the button is pressed. When the mains plug is removed
from the power socket, the equipment is disconnected from all poles of the mains power
supply. This ensures that the equipment is powered down.
Note for the version with rechargeable battery:
If the display remains at »0.0 kg«, the scales will switch off automatically after a pre-set
time. In this case, the display can be activated again by pressing the ON/OFF button.

4.2 Intended use
These scales are intended for fiscal metering applications. They meet the relevant
requirements of EC Directives 2014/30/EU, 2014/35/EU, 2014/31/EU.
This user manual is considered an integral part of the equipment. The instructions in the
manual must be followed exactly in order to ensure that the equipment is used properly and
operated correctly.
Soehnle Professional will accept liability for the safety of the equipment only if the user has
paid attention to the information in the user manual and operated the equipment according
to the instructions. Before using this device, the user should check that it is in an acceptable
condition and functionally safe. Users and operators must familiarise themselves with the
controls. This device is not intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
4.4 Safety information
This device is intended for professional use only. Please read carefully through the user
manual before starting up the equipment. It contains important information concerning the
installation, correct use and maintenance of the equipment. The manufacturer will not be
liable if the user does not observe the following instructions: When using electrical
components with higher safety requirements, you must follow the corresponding
regulations. Never carry out work on the device while it is carrying live voltage.
There are no special personnel requirements - the display unit can be used anywhere. This
product is not designed for use in critical environments (CT, defibrillators). It is not for use in
environments where there is a risk of explosion. The mains-operated display unit must be set
up so that it can be easily disconnected from the mains power (ensure that the socket is
accessible). The display unit should be protected from moisture.

This device has interference suppression in accordance with the related EC guideline
2014/30/EU. However, the display reading can be affected by extreme electrostatic or
electromagnetic interference, for example if a radio or mobile phone is used immediately
beside it. If affected in this way, the device should return to normal function once the
source of interference is removed. However, it may be necessary to switch off and on again.
If there is permanent electrostatic interference, please contact your service partner.
This device is a measuring instrument. Drafts, vibrations, rapid temperature changes and
direct exposure to sunlight may affect the weight readings.
The scales conform to protection class IP42. Avoid high levels of air humidity, steam,
aggressive fluids and heavy soiling.
Improper installation will invalidate the warranty. The electrical connection conditions must
be consistent with the rating values printed on the power adapter. The equipment is
designed to be used indoors. Note the permitted ambient temperatures for operation (see
Technical Data). This equipment meets the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility.
Do not exceed the maximum values specified in the standards. If used correctly, there is no
danger of other equipment being affected by this product. If you have any problems, please
contact your Soehnle Professional service partner.
Warning: This equipment must not be modified without the manufacturer's permission. If
medical equipment is modified, suitable tests and inspections must be performed to ensure
that it can still be used safely.
4.5 Cleaning
Before cleaning, disconnect the equipment from the power supply by pulling out the mains
plug. The equipment should be cleaned only with a moistened cloth. In no circumstances
should water be allowed to penetrate the equipment.
4.6 Maintenance and service
Metrological inspection was carried out at the initial verification when the product was
manufactured. Other regular metrological controls (recalibrations) are to be carried out by
the competent weights and measures authorities according to the relevant national
regulations. Repairs and replacement of the power cable must be carried out only at a
centre authorised by Soehnle Professional, and using original parts.
The device should be undergo preventative inspections regularly (6 monthly intervals). The
scales are to be loaded with a known weight and the value displayed compared with the test
weight. In the event of any deviations maintenance or calibration must be carried out.
If the equipment is not functioning normally, it is probably because it has been damaged. In
this case, it must be returned to a service centre authorised by Soehnle Professional.

Note for the version with rechargeable battery:
The function of the installed batteries should be checked periodically. If necessary the
battery must be replaced by trained service personnel. A suitable tool is necessary for this.

4.8 Disposal of batteries
Batteries that contain hazardous substances are identified by a symbol showing a
crossed-out waste bin and should not be disposed of as normal household waste.
As a consumer, you are required by law to recycle used batteries. Your old
batteries can be handed in as special waste at the public recycling points in your
community, or anywhere that batteries of a similar kind are sold. These symbols are found
on batteries containing hazardous substances: Pb = battery contains lead, Cd = battery
contains cadmium, Hg = battery contains mercury.

4.9 Disposing of the scales
According to current state of knowledge, this equipment does not contain any substances
that are particularly harmful to the environment. It should not be treated as normal waste,
but must be taken to a collection point where electric and electronic devices are recycled.
You can obtain more information from your municipal authorities, local waste disposal
services, or the company from which this product was purchased.

6. WARNINGS
> In the event of a malfunction, please contact your dealer or the manufacturer.
Unauthorised modifications or repairs can damage your scales and will cause the
manufacturer's warranty to become void.

> Display units should be protected from moisture. Liquids (e.g. water) can damage the
display unit. Use a dry cloth, e.g. a towel, to wipe the display.
> Disconnect the power supply before installation, cleaning or maintenance of the
equipment. Otherwise, the equipment could be damaged.
> Do not expose the display to direct sunlight. This could cause colour changes.
> If you are not using the display for long periods, disconnect the power supply, or switch
off the display if it is operating on battery power. Recharge the batteries after 4 weeks at
the latest, to compensate for self-discharge.
> Avoid stacking any materials on top of the display, or placing any weights on it. This can
damage the display.
> Place the scales on a solid, stable and level surface: this will ensure that measurements are

2. FONCTIONS
2.1 Installation de la balance et mise en service
En raison de la construction, la balance doit uniquement être utilisée sur des sols plans. Pour
les sites en Allemagne, cette condition est satisfaite lorsque les sols respectent les
indications de tolérance des sols de surface finie selon DIN 18202, tableau 3, ligne 4. Pour
les autres pays, les normes nationales correspondantes peuvent s’appliquer. La balance peut
être ajustée à l'aide des plaques intercalaires en cas de besoin.
Raccorder le bloc d'alimentation pour alimenter la balance.
Veiller à ce que la prise électrique soit accessible librement.
Note pour la version avec batterie rechargeable:
Lors de la première mise en service des balances, charger préalablement la batterie pendant
5 heures!
Pendant le chargement, un voyant bleu clignote au niveau du boîtier (ce voyant se situe sur
le côté pour le modèle 3710). Dès que la batterie est chargée, la DEL s'éteint.
Avant utilisation de la balance, il convient de vérifier que les accoudoirs, les repose-pieds et
les barres d'appui sont solidement fixés.
La balance ne peut être utilisée que par le personnel qualifié. Les patients ne peuvent
l'utiliser.
2.2 Utilisation de l'afficheur Standard 3710
