The handset reduces its radio output to a minimum if you are not making a call. The device also supports low radiation operation to zero in standby after 30 seconds. This does not mean that the normal DECT radiation is harmful to health, but that low radiation operation avoids unnecessary radiation exposure. Set the base up in a place where you do not spend a lot of time, in the hall, for example. Do not set the base unit up in children's rooms, bedrooms or the living room.
