SILVA EXC EED 2 AND FL OW LIGHT
Than k you for choos ing Silva E xceed 2 headl amp. This h eadlamp c an, thanks to t he modular
desig n, also be us ed on a helme t or a bike handle b ar.
Exce ed 2 is equippe d with Flow Light which is a light distribution technology that combines
a wide -angle flo od light wit h a long reach s pot light. I f you aim the lig ht beam of the E xceed 2
clos e to your feet by r otating the l ight body do wnward , the light ima ge will be a wi de flood li ght
adapt ed for slowe r activit ies. If you ai m the light hig her up, fur ther away, th e light image w ill
grad ually tran sform into a l ong-dis tance spot be am, perf ect for high er speed.
This un ique featur e gives the u ser periph eral or lon g distance v ision depe nding on the ac tivity or s peed. For a r unner, cross co untry ski er, mountain bi ker or night or ienteer this t ranslat es

BEFORE USE
BATT ERY CHAR GING (EX CEED 2X & E XCEED 2X T)
The ba ttery ne eds to be char ged before f irst use.
1. Conn ect the bat tery to the ch arger or oth er USB port w ith the incl uded cable .
2. Conne ct the charg er to the wall o utlet.
3. On the bat tery, the re are 5 LEDs sh owing bat tery sta tus during c harging:
• Gree n light (all 5 LE Ds) = batter y is fully ch arged
• Red lig ht blinking = b attery i s charging
Note! W hen the batt ery is full y charged th e charger au tomatical ly switch es to maintena nce
mode.
Exce ed 2 is compati ble with all S ilva batt eries wit h the same conn ector as on E xceed 2 bat tery.
Note tha t the batter y indicat ion may not be a ccurate wi th other Silv a batteri es.
SILVA EXCEED 2 – THE FLEXIBLE, MODULAR HEADLAMP
Exce ed 2 is design ed for Multi- activit y Sport s. Here is a de scriptio n of the diffe rent option s:
ERGONOMIC HEADSET
The he ad set is ergo nomicall y shaped to gi ve comfort able fit. U se the 2 buckle a djustmen ts to
fit it p erfectl y to your head . Removabl e top band incl uded.
Atta ch the headl amp in the hea d bracket by s liding the he adlamp fo ot into the snap -in socket .
To remove , slide the he adlamp up an d out of the bra cket.
BIKE HANDLEBAR ATTACHMENT
The bi ke handle bar at tachmen t is develop ed for use on bik e handlebar s with a dime nsion
betw een 22 mm and 3 2 mm. The bike b racket is at tached to the h andle bar by w rapping t he
rubb er strap ar ound the hand lebar and fa sten it on the p lastic ho ok.
Atta ch the headl amp in the bike h andle bar at tachment b y sliding the h eadlamp b racket into
the sna p-in socke t.
To remove , slide the he adlamp up an d out of the bra cket.
HELMET ATTACHMENT
The he lmet attac hment come s with pre- mounted adh esive tape o n the back for e asy mounti ng
on any he lmet.
To mount the h elmet att achment, re move the pro tective f ilm coveri ng the adhes ive tape.
Make sur e the surf ace of the helm et is clean an d dry. Pres s the bracke t onto its cor rect posi tion.
If you do n ot want to use t he adhesiv e on your helm et the attac hment is pre pared for mo unting wi th 2 or more str aps on the sid es. (Not incl uded)
Atta ch the headl amp in the hel met attach ment by slid ing the headl amp bracke t into the
snap-in socket.
To remove , slide the he adlamp up an d out of the bra cket.
FLEXIBLE BATTERY CARRYING
The E xceed 2 headl amp is desig ned so that th e batter y can be carr ied in multi ple ways. F or
examp le, in a batte ry carr ier on your ba ck, on the bike f rame, on yo ur belt, back pack or on the
back of y our head uni t etc.
DURING USE
SWI TCH ON YOUR H EADL AMP
A push bu tton is loc ated on the l eft side of th e headlam p body. Thi s button co ntrols al l light mode s.
• To star t the headla mp with Flo w Light acti vated pre ss push but ton with a sho rt press .
• To star t the headla mp with Flo w Light de-a ctivate d press and h old push but ton for 1 seco nd
• To cycle b etween th e differen t modes use sh ort pres ses.
• To turn the h eadlamp of f press an d hold butto n for 1 second

BOOST MODE
Exce ed 2 has a Boost m ode that temp orarily i ncrease s the light out put to 200 0 lumens dur ing
10 seconds.
To enter Boo st mode, do a s follows:
• Turn head lamp ON (wi th Flow lig ht activat ed or de-ac tivated)
• Keep pu sh button pr essed unt il headlam p turns OFF a nd keep pres sing the push b utton
until th e headlam p turns back O N.
• Headl amp has now e ntered Boos t mode
• The li ght will rem ain in Boost m ode for 10 seco nds and then re turn to the li ght mode fro m
wher e you entered B oost mode (f or example M ED)
Note! Dur ing the 10 sec onds the hea dlamp is in Bo ost mode it i s not possib le to use push b utton.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Note tha t the headl amp body tem perature w ill increa se during u se. The head lamp tempe rature is d epending o n light mode, a mbient air te mperatur e and the air flow (spee d). Exceed 2 is
equip ped with a tem perature c ontrol uni t that preven ts the headl amp body fr om overhe ating by
reduc ing the powe r to the LEDs .
Note! Al ways make su re to discon nect the bat tery whe n the headl amp is store d in a closed
compa rtment su ch as in a bag, po cket or simil ar.
LOW BAT TERY WAR NING
Duri ng operati on of the headl amp there w ill be a low bat tery wa rning when 2 5% of the bat tery
time re mains. Thi s is done by fl ashing LED s for 1 second 2 t imes with 5 s econd inter val.
When 15 % remains the L EDs will fl ash 1 time.
RESERVE MODE
Duri ng operati on, the lamp w ill go into re serve mo de when ther e is 15% power le ft of the batter y. All LEDs wi ll flash on ce before the l amp goes int o this mode.
Reser ve mode ca n be overr idden by pre ssing the bu tton.
Warning: If yo u have press ed the butt on when head lamp is in re serve mo de no more low b atter y warnings w ill appea r before the he adlamp tur ns OFF.
BATT ERY STATUS IN DICATIO N (EXCEED 2 X & EXCEE D 2XT)
On the ba ttery, th ere is a push bu tton that ac tivates b attery in dication L EDs. When p ushing the
butt on 5 LEDs on the b attery s hows batte ry statu s accordin g the follow ing…
• 5 green L EDs = Fully ch arged
• 4 gree d LEDs = 80% of t he batter y remains
• 3 gree d LEDs = 60% of t he batter y remains
• 2 gree d LEDs = 40% of t he batter y remains
• 1 red LE D = 20% of the ba ttery re mains
