Before using Silk’n Infinity™ for the first time, please read this user manual in its entirety. Pay particular attention to sections on device use procedures, device operation, and afteruse procedures. We recommend you refamiliarize yourself with this user manual before each use of Silk’n Infinity™. Silk’n Infinity™ is a powerful electrical device. As such, it should be used with special attention to safety.

Please read all warnings and safety precautions before use, and strictly follow them when using Silk’n Infinity™

1. Before You Start

Silk’n Infinity™ is a light-based device for permanent hair reduction designed for home use.

1.1 Silk’n Infinity™ device description

The Silk’n Infinity™ HAIR REMOVAL DEVICE has a TREATMENT SURFACE and a PULSE TRIGGER. It also has a pair of electrodes, BASE and TOUCH, for creating and utilizing a galvanic treatment circulation.

2. Silk’n Infinity™ Intended Use

Silk’n Infinity™ is intended for removal of unwanted hair. Silk’n Infinity™ is also intended to effect long term or permanent hair reduction. Permanent hair reduction is defined as a longterm stable reduction in the number of hairs regrowing after a treatment regime.

3. Safety with Silk’n Infinity™

With Silk’n Infinity™ safety comes first.

HPL™ technology in Silk’n Infinity™ - Superior safety with lower energy level

Home Pulsed Light™ technology is able to achieve long-term hair removal results at a fraction of the energy level used in other light-based hair removal equipment. The low energy used in Silk’n Infinity™ reduces its potential to cause harm or complications and contributes to your overall safety.

Silk’n Infinity™ protects your skin

Light-based hair removal is not suitable for tanned skin. Silk’n Infinity™ comes with a built-in SKIN COLOUR SENSOR that is designed to measure the complexion of the applied surface and enables energy levels according to skin complexion.

Furthermore, the 3cm² TREATMENT SURFACE, through which pulses of light are delivered, is recessed inside the device. This enables Silk’n Infinity™ to protect your skin by avoiding direct contact between the TREATMENT SURFACE and the skin.

Silk’n Infinity™ protects your eyes

Silk’n Infinity™ has a built-in safety feature for eye protection. It has been designed so that a light pulse cannot be emitted when the TREATMENT SURFACE is facing open air. The safety feature enables treatment only when the TREATMENT SURFACE is in contact with the skin.

Hair removal by lasers or intense pulsed light sources can cause increased hair growth in some individuals. Based upon currently available data, the highest risk groups for this response are females of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and South Asian heritage treated on the face and neck.

6.Avoid using Silk’n Infinity™ if any of the following applies:

History of kelodial scar formation.

If you suffer from epilepsy.

If you have a disease related to photosensitivity, such as porphyria, polymorphic light eruption, solar urticaria, lupus, etc.

If you have a history of skin cancer or areas of potential skin malignancies.

If you have received radiation therapy or chemotherapy treatments within the past 3 months.

If you have any other condition which in your physician’s opinion would make it unsafe for you to be treated.

If your skin was treated with a physician-prescribed drug within the past 6 months.

Consult with your physician prior to using Silk’n Infinity™.

7. Possible side effects using Silk’n Infinity™

When used according to the instructions, side effects and complications associated with the use of Silk’n Infinity™ are uncommon. However, every cosmetic procedure, including those designed for home use, involves some degree of risk. Therefore, it is important that you understand and accept the risks and complications that can occur with pulsed light hair removal systems designed for home use.

	Minor Skin Discomfort –
	Although home pulsed light hair removal is generally very well-tolerated, most
	users do feel some mild discomfort during use, usually described as being a mild
	stinging sensation on the treated skin areas. The stinging sensation usually lasts	Minor

	Anything beyond this minor discomfort is abnormal and means that either you
	should not continue using Silk’n Infinity™ because you are unable to tolerate the
	hair removal application, or that the energy level setting is too high.

Skin Redness –

Your skin may become red right after using Silk’n Infinity™ or within 24 hours of

using Silk’n Infinity™. Redness generally clears up within 24 hours. See your doctor Minor if redness does not go away within 2 to 3 days.

Increased Sensitivity to Skin –

The skin of the treated area is more sensitive so you may encounter dryness or Minor flaking of the skin.

Pigment Changes –

Silk’n Infinity™ targets the hair shaft, in particular the pigmented cells in the hair follicle and the hair follicle itself. Nevertheless there is risk of temporary hyperpigmentation

(increased pigment or brown discolouration) or hypopigmentation (whitening) to Rare the surrounding skin. This risk of changes in skin pigmentation is higher for people

with darker skin tones. Usually discoloration or changes to skin pigment are temporary and permanent hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation rarely occur.

Excessive Redness and Swelling –

In rare cases treated skin may become very red and swollen. This is more common

in sensitive areas of the body. The redness and swelling should subside within 2 to Rare 7 days and should be treated with frequent applications of ice. Gentle cleansing is

8. Long-term hair removal: the Silk’n Infinity™ way

A typical full hair growth cycle may take 18-24 months. During this time multiple Silk’n Infinity™ treatment sessions may be required in order to achieve permanent hair removal.

The efficiency of hair removal varies from person to person according to body area, hair colour and how Silk’n Infinity™ is used.

Typical Silk’n Infinity™ hair removal plan during a full hair growth cycle: Treatments 1-4 – plan two weeks apart

Treatments 5-7 – plan four weeks apart

Treatments 8 + – treat as needed, until desired results are achieved.

1.	Individual response depends on hair type as well as biological factors that may affect hair growth patterns. Some users may
	respond quicker or slower than the average number of treatments.	English
2.	One cannot expect permanent hair removal in a single or even double treatment sessions. The duration of the resting period for

hair follicles also depends on the body area.

9. Get Started!

1.Remove Silk’n Infinity™ HAIR REMOVAL DEVICE and other components from the box.

2.Plug the ADAPTOR cord into the Silk’n Infinity™ HAIR REMOVAL DEVICE adaptor socket.

3.Plug the ADAPTOR into an electrical outlet. All indicator lights in the CONTROL PAD will turn on and off repeatedly in a circular motion.

Your Silk’n Infinity™ is now ready to start.

Treat with Silk’n Infinity™ safely and properly!

Choose areas to treat that have not had recent exposure to the sun.

4.The skin of the treatment areas should be shaved, clean, dry and free of any powders, antiperspirants or deodorants. Do not wax, pluck or tweeze the hair out. Shaving is an important step to get the results you want! Best results will be reached when you shave 3 days prior to treatment or when the hair is 1-2 mm - 3/32 inch.

5.Press the CENTRAL BUTTON. The device will turn on, the Energy Level 1 INDICATOR LIGHT (green) will turn on and a fan sound will start.

6.Approximately 1 second after pressing the CENTRAL BUTTON, the READY/SKIN TONE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT (yellow) will turn on. The device is now ready for you to trigger the first pulse at the lowest energy level.

Always start at energy level 1, starting at a higher level immediately will increase the chance of side effects.

7. If this is your first treatment, choose the energy level you are most comfortable with. Silk’n

	English	Infinity™ offers 5 levels of energy from 1 (the lowest) to 5 (the highest). To choose the
		right energy level for your first treatment, test each treatment area separately:
		Place the TREATMENT SURFACE on the skin and press the trigger to deliver one pulse.
		Make sure your hand touches the BASE ELECTRODE together with
		the PULSE TRIGGER (see picture).
		If you do not make hand contact with the BASE ELECTRODE no
		galvanic treatment circulation will be emitted.”
		If you do not experience abnormal discomfort press the CENTRAL
		BUTTON again. This will increase the energy level. Deliver one pulse on a different spot
		at energy level 2.
		Continue testing at increased energy levels until you have reached the highest level that
		you feel comfortable with. If within one hour you experience no adverse effects, you can
		start your full treatment at that energy level.
		Repeat this test for each body part you intend to treat.

8.To set an energy level, press the CENTRAL BUTTON repeatedly to increase the energy level from 1 to 5 and from 5 directly back to 1, until the desired energy level is set. The ENERGY LEVEL INDICATOR LIGHTS will indicate the energy level setting. For details see “Energy Level” frame below.

Energy Level

The energy level determines the intensity of the Silk’n Infinity™ light pulse delivered to your skin. As energy level increases, so do hair removal results as well as the risk of possible side effects and complications. Silk’n Infinity™ offers 5 levels of energy from 1 (the lowest) to 5 (the highest), represented by 5 energy level indicator lights

Whenever Silk’n Infinity™ is turned on, its energy level will automatically be reset to the lowest energy level. Only one ENERGY LEVEL INDICATOR LIGHT will be on.

To set the energy level, press the CENTRAL BUTTON repeatedly to increase the energy level from 1 to 5 and from 5 directly back to 1 .

9. Place the TREATMENT SURFACE on the skin, making sure the skin is spread evenly and

	smoothly. As soon as the TREATMENT SURFACE is in full contact with the skin, the	English
	READY/SKIN TONE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT will start blinking slowly.
	Make sure to touch the TOUCH ELECTRODE on the underside of the device to ensure the
	galvanic system can complete the circuit and activate.
	10. Press the PULSE TRIGGER. The device will first determine the colour of your skin. If the
	colour of the skin is light enough for safe application, the device will activate the galvanic
	circulation. You might feel a slight tingling sensation. This is completely normal: the galvanic
	treatment is now working to enlarge your pores for a better application of the treatment.
	Directly afterwards the device will flash a pulse of light onto your skin, and the READY/SKIN
	TONE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT will turn off. You will see a bright flash of light and
	simultaneously hear a subtle pop sound, which is a normal noise for the device. You will feel
	a mild sensation of warmth and tingling. Silk’n Infinity™ will immediately recharge for the
	next pulse.
	After a few seconds the READY/SKIN TONE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT will turn on
	again and start blinking slowly when pressed again to the skin.
	11. Remove the TREATMENT SURFACE from the treated area of skin.
	12. Choose a method of application for your treatment session. Silk’n Infinity™ can be applied
	in two ways: “Pulsing” and “Gliding” (for more details see applicatoin methods frame below).
	A. For the PULSING method, follow steps 9 to 11 on another spot repeatedly until the
	entire area is fully covered.
	B. For the GLIDING method, hold the PULSE TRIGGER down continuously and slide the
	device smoothly along the treated area.

If your skin blisters or burns, STOP USE IMMEDIATELY!

Application Methods PULSING

PULSING is the best technique for working with higher energy levels as it enables better control of skin coverage.

When pulsing, Silk’n Infinity™ pulses should be administered in rows, starting at one end of each row and progressing sequentially towards the other end helps you avoid treating the same area more than once or overlapping skin areas.

When pulsing, the Silk’n Infinity™ TREATMENT SURFACE is designed to create temporary slight shadows of the treated area border. In every repositioning of the TREATMENT SURFACE use these pressure marks to guide you for proper positioning of the next pulse, avoiding both gaps and overlaps between pulses.

GLIDING

GLIDING is the best way to work within the low energy levels and achive a fast and more efficient session.

When Gliding, hold the PULSE TRIGGER down continuously, and using a slow, sliding motion while keeping contact with the skin. Smoothly move the device along the treatment area. In the lower energy levels the device takes only 1-1.5 seconds to recharge between pulses and provides a nonstop sequence of flashes.

Try to avoid overlapping pulses!

Do not treat the same area of skin more than once per hair removal session! Treating the same area of skin more than once per treatment session increases the likelihood of adverse effects.

If your skin blisters or burns, STOP USE IMMEDIATELY!

The Skin Color Sensor

Light-based hair removal on tanned skin can result in adverse effects such as burns, blisters, and skin colour changes (hyper or hypopigmentation).

To prevent such misuse, a unique SKIN COLOUR SENSOR in Silk’n Infinity™ measures the treated skin complexion at the beginning of each session and occasionally during the treatment session. If the SKIN COLOUR SENSOR detects a skin tone that is too dark for Silk’n Infinity™ application, the device will automatically stop emitting pulses.

If you see no light pulse and the READY/SKIN TONE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT is rapidly blinking, this is an indication that your skin tone, measured by the SKIN COLOUR SENSOR, is too dark for safe application. Try using the device on a different body part or contact Silk’n® customer support.

9.1.What to expect when treating with Silk’n Infinity™?

For many people, using Silk’n Infinity™ may be their first experience with a light-based device designed for home use. Silk’n Infinity™ is simple to use and hair removal sessions go by quickly. During a Silk’n Infinity™ treatment session it is normal to experience and feel:

A fan noise – The cooling fan in Silk’n Infinity™ makes noise similar to that of a hairdryer.

A pop sound with each pulse – When a pulse of HPL™ light is activated, it is normal to hear a subtle pop sound simultaneously with the flash of light.

A sensation of warmth and tingling – During each galvanic and pulse sequence it is normal to feel a mild sensation of warmth and tingling from the galvanic and light energies.

Some mild red or pink colour – During and just after your Silk’n Infinity™ treatment session it is not uncommon to see some very mild, pink-like colour of the skin. This is usually most noticeable around the hairs themselves.

However if you see full redness of the skin, blistering or burns stop using Silk’n Infinity™ immediately.

9.2.After treating with Silk’n Infinity™

English	1.	When your treatment session has been completed turn Silk’n Infinity™ off by giving the
		CENTRAL BUTTON an extended press. Be sure to remember the last energy level setting
		you used, as it will not be restored when turning Silk’n Infinity™ on again.

Skin care following a hair removal session

After your session it is recommended to apply a body lotion to the treated area to help your skin recover from the treatment faster. You can use the included body lotion or use your own.

Do not expose areas of skin treated in energy levels 2 - 5 to the sun. Be sure to carefully protect the treated skin with sunscreen of factor SPF 30 or higher, throughout the hair removal period and for at least 2 weeks following your last Silk’n Infinity™ treatment session.

10.1.Cleaning Silk’n Infinity™

After every hair removal session clean your Silk’n Infinity™ device, especially the TREATMENT SURFACE.

1.Unplug Silk’n Infinity™ before cleaning.

2.Use a dry, clean cloth and a specially formulated cleaning detergent for electronic equipment to gently wipe the Silk’n Infinity™ surface, especially the TREATMENT SURFACE.

Never immerse Silk’n Infinity™ or any of its parts in water or any other liquids!

11.Connect your Silk’n Infinity™ to Bluetooth

The “Silk’n free Hair Removal” application supports your every step with Silk’n hair removal devices, creates your personalized treatment plan, helps you make the safest and most informed choices and makes sure you follow through the entire course of treatment for best results.

12.Troubleshooting

12.1.“My Silk’n Infinity™ does not start.”

Make sure the ADAPTOR is properly connected to the Silk’n Infinity™ device.

Make sure the ADAPTOR is plugged into an electrical outlet on the wall.

12.2 A galvanic pulse is not activated when I press the PULSE TRIGGER

Make sure your hand is touching the BASE ELECTRODE when pressing the PULSE TRIGGER. The galvanic treatment circulation requires closing the galvanic circuit by simultaneously pressing the trigger and the electrode at the same time, in order to effectively treat your skin.

12.3.“A light pulse is not emitted when I press the PULSETRIGGER”

Make sure that the yellow READY/SKIN TONE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT is blinking slowly to ensure you have good contact with the skin and that the TREATMENT SURFACE is evenly and firmly pressed to the skin. For your safety, the PULSE TRIGGER will activate a pulse only if the TREATMENT SURFACE is firmly pressed against the skin. Check the SKIN TONE WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT. If it blinks rapidly, this is an indication that your skin tone, measured by the SKIN COLOUR SENSOR, is too dark for safe application. Try using the device on a different body part or contact Silk’n® customer support.

If the yellow light is constantly on, together with any number of indicator lights, you have a system error.

Unplug the device and plug it back in. If these problems persist, contact your local Silk’n® customer service center.

Check if all lights are blinking together in a circle. If so, unplug the device from its power source. The device has reached its End of Life stage. This device is to be orderly disposed of. Deliver old equipment to the nearest electronic waste collection point for safe and efficient disposal.

Do not attempt to open or repair your Silk’n Infinity™. Only authorized Silk’n® repair centers are permitted to perform repairs.

Opening Silk’n Infinity™ may expose you to dangerous electrical components and to pulsed light energy, either of which may cause serious bodily harm and/or permanent eye injury.

Trying to open Silk’n Infinity™ may also damage the device and will void your warranty.

Please contact Silk’n® customer service if you have a broken or damaged device in need or repair.

La technologie par la lumière pulsée (Home Pulsed Light™) permet d’obtenir une épilation durable avec une fraction du niveau d’énergie utilisé par les autres appareils de photoépilation. Le faible niveau d’énergie utilisé par Silk’n Infinity™ réduit les risques de blessures ou de complications et améliore votre sécurité dans son ensemble.

Avec Silk’n Infinity™, votre peau est protégée

L’épilation basée sur la lumière n’est pas adaptée aux peaux foncées ou bronzées. Silk’n Infinity™ est fourni avec un CAPTEUR DE COULEUR DE PEAU intégré qui vérifie la pigmentation de la zone à traiter et permet d’adapter le niveau d’énergie en conséquence.

Le plus faible niveau d’énergie (1) de Silk’n Infinity™ est spécifiquement conçu pour être utilisé en toute sécurité même après une exposition au soleil. Vous pouvez continuer d’utiliser Silk’n Infinity™ après toute exposition au soleil, à condition d’utiliser le plus faible niveau d’énergie.
