Quick Start:

Charge the Silk’n Clear™ batteries for the first time by plugging
the Base Unit to electrical current and placing the Applicator in it
for up to 6 hours .

Treat daily for 3-4 minutes on each infected area. Later repeat the
treatment twice a week for mainenence.

Before treatment the skin should be, clean, dry and free of any
powder, gel or cream.

Remove Silk’n Clear Applicator from its cradle in the Base Unit.
Press the Power On/Off Switch. The green Ready/Treatment

Indicator Light (I) will start blinking, and shortly afterwards will be
lit steadily.

Your Clear is ready for treatment.
Place the Treatment Surface on your skin. The Led light will

automatically activate.
Keep holding the Clear Applicator against the skin area for 3-4

minutes. The Treatment Surface temperature will slowly increase.
Move the Treatment Surface to the next location and hold against

the skin for another 3-4 minutes.
Perform the treatment for 3-4 minutes on each infected area.
Throughout the treatment course and maintenance period, it

is recommended to wash the infected areas daily, using Silk’n
Acne™ soap.

Before You Start

Before using Silk’n Clear for the first time, please read this manual
in its entirety. Pay particular attention to sections on device use
procedures, device operation, and after-use procedures.

What is Silk’n Clear?

Silk’n Clear is a hand held light emitting diode (LED) device for
Acne treatment.
Typical areas for Silk’n Clear treatment are the neck, the chin, the
cheeks, the forehead, and every other face or body site infected
with acne.

Silk’n Clear device description

Silk’n Clear device consists of a Base Unit, an Applicator and
an Adaptor.

Silk’n Clear Applicator is a hand held unit that contains a Treatment
Surface at the Applicator tip, On/Off Switch and Indicator Panel.

Silk’n Clear Base Unit is used to charge the Applicator batteries.

To protect your skin, a temperature sensor is embedded in the
treatment tip of the Silk’n Clear. This sensor ensures the skin’s
surface will not exceed 41°C / 106°F.

When to avoid using Silk’n Clear?

Certain conditions may temporarily prevent the use of Silk’n
Clear. DO NOT USE Silk’n Clear if any of the following conditions
apply to you:

If you have eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds or active
infections, such as cold sores in the area to be treated. Wait for
the effected area to heal before using Silk’n Clear.
If you have abnormal skin conditions caused by diabetes or
other systemic or metabolic diseases.
If you are currently or have recently been treated with Alpha­Hydroxi Acids (AHAs), Beta-Hydroxi Acids (BHAs), Retin-A

®

topical retinoids or azelaic acid.
If you have been treated with Accutane

®

(isotretinoin) within
the past 6 months.
If you have been on a steroid regimen within the past 3 months.
If you have a history of herpes outbreaks in the area of
treatment, unless you have consulted your physician and
received preventative before using Silk’n Clear.

Safety with Silk’n Clear

Reducing the risk of injury

• Keep Silk’n Clear out of the reach of children.

• Keep Silk’n Clear out of the reach of persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities.

Keep Silk’n Clear away from water!
Do not use or store Silk’n Clear in a wet environment
(e.g. near a shower or a bathtub)!

• Keep the device and its adaptor dry!

• Do not use Silk’n Clear if the Adaptor or the Applicator is damaged!

• If the Applicator is damaged, make sure it is replaced with an

original part from Home Skinovations!

• The Applicator contains a dedicated transformer. Never replace

the Applicator with another plug!
If you are unsure if Clear is safe for you to use, please consult with
your doctor or dermatologist.

Possible side effects using Silk’n Clear

When used according to the instructions, side effects and
complications associated with use of Silk’n Clear are rare.
However every cosmetic procedure, including those designed for
home use, involve some degree of risk. Therefore it is important
that you understand and accept the risks and complications that
can occur with energy based systems designed for home use.
Silk’n Clear treatments are generally very well-tolerated. Most
users sense the moderate heat applied by the device during use,
with no further discomfort.

• Minor Skin Discomfort

Your skin may become slightly irritated after using Silk’n Clear.
This is a typical and transient phenomenon. If the irritation does

not disappear within three days, please consult a physician or a
dermatologist.

• Skin Redness

Your skin may become slightly red right after using Clear. This
should disappear a few hours after treatment.

Protect your Silk’n Clear

• Store the device in a clean area free of dust.

• Do not cover the ventilation slots during use.

• Never shake or drop Silk’n Clear or subject it to severe shocks.

• Silk’n Clear is sensitive to environmental temperature during use.

Do not expose the Clear to environmental temperatures lower
than 15°C / 59°F or higher than 35°C / 95°F during use.

• Silk’n Clear can not tolerate extreme change of temperature.

When moved from a cold environment (under 10°C / 50°F) to
a warm environment, avoid use for approximately 3 hours.

• Do not expose Silk’n Clear to direct sunlight or UV light for

long periods of time.

• Silk’n Clear is designed for occasional home use (as opposed

to exhaustive commercial or professional use). Avoid such ex­haustive use.

• Avoid covering Silk’n Clear and its adaptor during recharge.

Skin Treatment the Clear Way

The benefits of Silk’n Clear

Using Silk’n Clear according to instructions is expected to
result in the destruction of the bacteria causing acne, the
reduction in the appearance of new pimples and the quick
healing of existing pimples.
Best results can be expected 3-7 weeks after completing the
recommended course of treatment.

Silk’n Clear facial treatment areas

Typical areas for Silk’n Clear treatment are the cheeks, forehead,
chin, neck and back.

First Steps with Silk’n Clear

Silk’n Clear Setup

1. Remove Silk’n Clear Base Unit, Applicator, Adaptor and other
components from box.

2. Before using the Silk’n Clear for the first time, fully charge the
battery. This may take up to 6 hours.

Insert the Applicator into its cradle in the Clear Base Unit.

Plug the Adaptor Plug into the Base Unit socket.

Plug the Adaptor into an electrical outlet. An orange Battery –
Charging - Indicator Light (K) will illuminate to indicate that
your Silk’n Clear is in the process of charging.

When Battery – Charging - Indicator Light (K) turns off and
Battery – Full - Indicator Light (L) illuminates, your Silk’n Clear is
fully charged and ready to start.
(Recharging will be needed when Ready Mode Indicator I
(Green) is blinking)

Plan your Silk’n Clear treatment for best results

The efficiency of the results varies from person to person and
according to the frequency of use. Some may see results sooner
than others.

A Silk’n Clear treatment course should include daily treatments
of all infected areas, over a period of 6-8 weeks

For maintenance use Silk’n Clear™ and Silk’n Acne™ soap, the
same way, once a week.

Apply Silk’n Acne™ soap on a wet skin and lather gently,
leave for 30sec., wash and tap softly
using a clean towel to dry.

What to expect when treating with Silk’n Clear?

During a Silk’n Clear session it is normal to experience and feel:

A Sensation of Warmth – During the Silk’n Clear session you
may feel slight warmth. This is normal and should disappear up
to an hour after the session.

Some Mild Red Color – After each Silk’n Clear session you
may notice a slight reddening of the skin (mild erythema) over
the treated area. This is normal and should fade within an hour
or two.

Best results can be expected 3-7 weeks after completing the
recommended course of treatment.

After treating with Silk’n Clear

When Clear session has been completed turn Clear off by
pressing the Power On/Off Switch.

After each session it is recommended that you clean your
Clear device, especially the Applicator Tip (See Section:
“Cleaning Silk’n Clear”).

Place the Applicator in its Base Unit cradle to recharge the
batteries (See Section: “Silk’n Clear Battery Charging”).

Maintenance of Silk’n Clear

Cleaning the Silk’n Clear

After each session, it is recommended to clean your Silk’n Clear
device:

• Turn Silk’n Clear off by pressing the Power On/Off Switch.

• Unplug Silk’n Clear from the electrical outlet

• Allow cooling down of its Treatment Surface.

• Use a dry, clean cloth and a specially formulated cleaner for

electronic equipment togently wipe the device and especially
its Treatment Surface.

• Never immerse Silk’n Clear or any of its parts in water!

• Never clean the Clear or any of its parts under the

tap or in the dishwasher.

Storage

• Store the clean device and all its parts in a dry place, at a

temperature of between -10°C to 60°C / 14°F to 140°F

To protect the environment

At the end of its life, do not discard Silk’n Clear with the
normal household waste. Dispose of it at an official recycling
collection point.

Remove batteries and dispose at an official collection
point for batteries. Please call your local recycling depot
for locations and proper recycling instructions.

Removing the rechargeable batteries

Remove the rechargeable batteries only if they are completely
empty and cannot be recharged.

Undo the screw at the bottom panel of the
Applicator.

Lift and remove the top panel of the Applicator.

Cut the tow wires that connect the electronics card
to the lower panel of the Applicator.

Push the three snaps and pull out the electronics card.

Cut the tow wires that connect the rechargeable
batteries pack to the Applicator.

Avant d’utiliser le Silk’n Clear pour la première fois, veuillez lire

Le Silk’n Clear est un appareil manuel portatif équipé de diodes

La sécurité avec le Silk’n Clear

Pour protéger votre peau, un capteur de température est intégré
au niveau de la surface de traitement du Silk’n Clear. Ce capteur
garantit que la surface de la peau ne dépasse pas 41°C/106°F.

Quand ne pas utiliser le Silk’n Clear

Certaines conditions peuvent empêcher temporairement
l’utilisation du Silk’n Clear. NE PAS UTILISER le Silk’n Clear dans
les cas suivants :

Si vous faites de l’eczéma, si vous avez du psoriasis, des lésions, des
plaies ouvertes ou des infections actives, telles que des boutons de
fièvre sur la zone à traiter. Attendez que la zone concernée guérisse
avant d’utiliser le Silk’n Clear.
Si vous avez des conditions de peau anormales causées par le
diabète ou par d’autres maladies systémiques ou métaboliques.
Si vous êtes traité ou si vous avez récemment été traité par Alpha­Hydroxi Acides (AHA), bêta-Hydroxi acides (BHA), Retin-A

rétinoïdes topiques ou par acide azélaïque.
Si vous avez été traité avec Accutane

(isotrétinoïne) au cours des

Si vous étiez traité par stéroïdes au cours des 3 derniers mois.
Si vous avez des antécédents de poussées d’herpès dans la zone de
traitement, à moins que vous ayez consulté votre médecin et reçu
un traitement préventif avant d’utiliser le Silk’n Clear.

Réduire les risques de blessures

• Tenir le Silk’n Clear hors de la portée des enfants.

• Tenir le Silk’n Clear hors de la portée des personnes dont les

capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales sont réduites.

Tenir le Silk’n Clear loin de l’eau !
Ne pas utiliser ou stocker le Silk’n Clear dans un
environnement humide (par exemple à proximité d’une
douche ou d’une baignoire) !

• Tenir l’appareil et son adaptateur sec !

• Ne pas utiliser le Silk’n Clear si l’Adaptateur ou l’Applicateur est

endommagé !

• Si l’Applicateur est endommagé, assurez-vous qu’il est remplacé

par une pièce d’origine provenant de Home Skinovations !

• L’Applicateur contient un transformateur dédié. Ne jamais

brancher l’Applicateur directement sur une autre prise !
Si vous n’êtes pas sûr que votre appareil Clear est sans danger,
veuillez consulter votre médecin ou votre dermatologue.

Les effets secondaires possibles en utilisant Silk’n Clear

Lorsqu’il est utilisé conformément aux instructions, les effets
secondaires et les complications associés à l’utilisation du Silk’n
Clear sont rares.
Toutefois, toutes les procédures cosmétiques, y compris celles
conçues pour un usage domestique, comportent un certain
degré de risque. Par conséquent, il est important que vous
compreniez et acceptiez les risques et les complications qui
peuvent se produire avec les systèmes d’énergie conçus pour un
usage domestique.
Les traitements par Silk’n Clear sont généralement très bien
tolérés. La plupart des utilisateurs ressentent la chaleur modérée
appliquée par l’appareil durant l’utilisation, sans que cela ne cause
une gêne.

Il s’agit d’un phénomène normal et temporaire. Si l’irritation
ne disparaît pas dans les trois jours, consultez un médecin ou
un dermatologue.

• Rougeur de la peau
Votre peau peut devenir légèrement rouge suite à l’utilisation de

Clear. Cette rougeur devrait disparaître dans les quelques heures
qui suivent le traitement.

Prendre soin de votre Silk’n Clear

• Conserver l’appareil dans un endroit propre exempt de poussière.

• Ne pas couvrir les orices de ventilation lors de l’utilisation.

• Ne jamais secouer, laisser tomber ou soumettre le Silk’n Clear à

des chocs importants.

• Le Silk’n Clear est sensible à la température ambiante lors de

l’utilisation.
Ne pas exposer le Clear à une température ambiante inférieure à
15°C/59°F ou supérieure à 35°C/95°F lors de l’utilisation.

• Le Silk’n Clear ne tolère pas les variations extrêmes de

température.
Lors du déplacement de l’appareil d’un environnement froid
(moins de 10°C/50°F) à un environnement chaud, évitez de
l’utiliser pendant environ 3 heures.

• Ne pas exposer de manière prolongée le Silk’n Clear à la lumière
directe du soleil ou aux UV.

• Le Silk’n Clear est conçu pour une utilisation occasionnelle à

domicile (par opposition à un usage commercial ou professionnel
intense). Évitez de l’utiliser de manière intense.

• Ne pas couvrir le Silk’n Clear et son adaptateur pendant la

recharge.

Installation du Silk’n Clear

1. Retirer la Base, l’Applicateur, l’Adaptateur et les autres composants
du Silk’n Clear de son emballage.

2. Charger complètement la batterie avant d’utiliser le Clear Silk’n
pour la première fois. Cela peut prendre jusqu’à 6 heures.

Charger la batterie du Silk’n Clear

Insérer l’Applicateur dans le socle de la Base Clear.
Brancher la Fiche Adaptateur dans la prise de la Base.

Brancher l’Adaptateur sur une prise secteur. Un Voyant (K)
orange de Batterie En Charge s’allume pour indiquer que votre
Silk›n Clear est en charge.

Lorsque le Voyant (K) de Batterie En Charge sݎteint et que le
Voyant (L) de Batterie Chargée s›allume, votre Silk’n Clear est

complètement chargé et prêt à traiter.

(La recharge est nécessaire lorsque le Voyant (I) vert Prêt

clignote).

Planifiez votre traitement Silk’n Clear pour de
meilleurs résultats

Les résultats varient d’une personne à l’autre et selon la
fréquence d’utilisation. Certaines personnes peuvent obtenir
des résultats plus tôt que d’autres.
Un cycle de traitement Silk’n Clear devrait inclure une séance
quotidienne de chacune des zones à traiter sur une période de
6 à 8 semaines.
Pour l’entretien de la peau, utilisez le Silk’n Clear™ et le savon
Silk’n Acne™ une fois par semaine en procédant de la même
manière.

Traiter avec le Silk’n Clear pour la première fois

La peau doit être propre, sèche et exempt de poudre, de gel
ou de crème.

Retirez l’Applicateur Silk’n Clear du socle de sa Base.

Appuyez sur le Bouton On/Off. Le Voyant (I) vert

Prêt/Traitement commence par clignoter puis reste allumé.

Votre Clear est prêt pour le traitement.

Placez la Surface De Traitement sur votre peau. La lumière
Led s’allume automatiquement.
Maintenez L’applicateur Clear contre la peau pendant 3
à 4 minutes. La température de la Surface De Traitement
augmentera progressivement.
Déplacez la Surface De Traitement à l’emplacement suivant et
maintenez-la sur la peau de nouveau pendant 3 à 4 minutes.
Traitez chaque zone infectée pendant 3 à 4 minutes.
Il est recommandé de laver quotidiennement les zones
infectées en utilisant le savon Silk’n Acne™ pendant la durée
du traitement et la période d’entretien.
Utilisez le savon Silk’n Acne™
sur une peau humide et
faire mousser en douceur,
laissez agir 30 secondes,
rincez et tamponnez
légèrement avec une
serviette propre
pour sécher.

À quoi s’attendre lors d’un traitement avec le
Silk’n Clear ?

Au cours d’une séance Silk’n Clear, il est normal de ressentir :

Une sensation de chaleur - Au cours de la séance Silk’n Clear
vous pouvez ressentir une légère sensation de chaleur. Cette
sensation est normale et devrait disparaître dans l’heure qui
suit la séance.

De légères rougeurs - Après chaque séance Silk’n Clear
vous pouvez remarquer une légère rougeur de la peau (léger
érythème) de la zone traitée. Cette rougeur est normale et

devrait s’estomper en une heure ou deux.

Les meilleurs résultats peuvent être attendus 3 à 7 semaines
après la n du cycle de traitement recommandé.

Après le traitement avec le Silk’n Clear

Lorsque la séance est terminée, éteignez le Clear en appuyant sur
le bouton On/Off (B).

Après chaque séance, il est recommandé de nettoyer votre

appareil Clear, en particulier son Applicateur (Voir le chapitre :

« Nettoyage du Silk’n Clear »).
Placez l’Applicateur dans le socle de la Base pour recharger la

batterie (Voir le chapitre : « Charger la batterie du Silk’n Clear »).

Entretien du Silk’n Clear

Nettoyage du Silk’n Clear

Après chaque séance, il est recommandé de nettoyer votre appareil
Silk’n Clear :

• Éteignez votre Silk’n Clear en appuyant sur le bouton On/Off.

• Débranchez le Silk’n Clear de la prise secteur

• Laissez refroidir sa Surface De Traitement.

• Utilisez un chiffon propre et sec et un nettoyant spécialement

formulé pour les équipements électroniques pour essuyez
délicatement l’appareil et surtout sa Surface De Traitement.

• Ne plongez jamais le Silk’n Clear ou l’un de ses

composants dans l’eau !

• Ne nettoyez jamais le Silk’n Clear ou ou l’un de ses

composants au robinet ou au lave-vaisselle.

Stockage

• Stockez l’appareil et tous ses composants nettoyés dans un

endroit sec, à une température comprise entre -10°C et 60°C /
14°F et 140°F

Protection de l’environnement

Ne jetez pas le Silk’n Clear avec les ordures ménagères ordinaires.
Mettez-le au rebus dans un centre de recyclage approprié.

Retirez la batterie et apportez-la à un point de collecte
de piles. Appelez votre centre de recyclage local pour
connaitre les emplacements et les instructions de recyclage
appropriées.

Retirer la batterie rechargeable

Retirez la batterie rechargeable uniquement si elle est complètement
vide et ne peut plus être rechargée.
