To avoid the danger of fire

This o ven is not designed to b e built in to a kitchen unit. The elec trical outlet must be readily a c c essible so that the unit c a n be unplug ged e a sily in an emergency. The AC p o wer supply must b e 2 3 0 V, 5 0 Hz, with a minimum 1 6 A d istribution line fuse, o r a minimum 16 A distribution c ircuit breaker. It is reco mmended that a separate c ircuit serving only this a pp liance be p rovide d. Do not place the oven in areas w here hea t is generated. For exa mple, close to a c o nventio nal o ven. Do not install the o ven in a n area o f high humidity or where mo isture may c o llect. Do not sto re o r use the o ven outdo o rs.

Do not place flammab le materials near the o ven o r ventilation o penings. Do no t bloc k the ventilation openings. Remove a ll metallic seals, wire twists, etc., from foo d and fo o d p a c kages. Arcing o n metallic surfaces may cause a fire . Do not use the microwave o ven to hea t oil for deep frying. The temperature cannot be c o ntrolled and the o il may c a tch fire. To make p o pcorn, use o nly special microwave po pco rn makers. Do not sto re fo od o r a ny o ther items inside the o ve n. Che c k the settings after yo u start the o ven to ensure the o ven is o perating as desired. See the co rrespo nding hints in this o p eration manual and the co o kery boo k sec tio n.
To avoid the possibility of injury

ensure it is not misaligned or warped.
b) The hinge s and sa fe ty do or latches; chec k to make sure

c) The do o r sea ls a nd sea ling surfaces; ensure that they
have not been da mag ed.
d) Inside the o ven cavity o r o n the d o o r; make sure there
are no dents.
e) The po w e r supp ly cord and plug; ensure that they are
not damag ed .

Do not o p erate the o ven with the d o o r o pe n o r alte r the d o o r safety latches in any wa y. Do not o p erate the o ven if there is an object between the doo r sea ls a nd sea ling surfaces.

To avoid the possibility of electric shock
Under no c irc umstance s should you remove the outer cabinet. Never spill o r insert a ny o b jec ts into the d o o r lock openings o r ventilation openings. In the e vent o f a spill, turn off and unplug the o ven immediately, and call an a utho rised SHARP service agent. Do not immerse the p o wer supply co rd o r plug in wa ter o r a ny o ther liquid. Do not let the po we r supply cord hang over the ed g e o f a table o r w o rk surface. Keep the p o wer supply co rd away from hea ted surfaces, including the rea r o f the oven. Do not attempt to replac e the o ven lamp yo urself or allo w anyo ne who is no t an e lec trician autho rised by SHARP to do so. If the o ven lamp fails, plea se co nsult yo ur dealer o r a n authorised SHARP service ag e nt.

To avoid misuse by children

Do not lean o r swing o n the o ven do or. Do not play with the o ven or use it as a toy. Children should b e taught a ll impo rta nt safety instructions: use o f po t holders, c areful removal o f foo d co verings; p a ying special a ttentio n to pa c kaging (e.g . self-heating materials) designed to make fo o d c risp, a s they may be e xtra hot.
Other w arnings
Never modify the o ven in any wa y. Do not move the o ven while it is in o pe ration. This o ven is for home foo d preparatio n o nly a nd may o nly be used fo r coo king fo o d. It is no t suita b le fo r c o mmercial o r laboratory use.

Never operate the o ven when it is e mpty exc e pt where reco mmende d in the o peratio n manual, see Pag e 1 0 N o te 2 . Doing so may d a mag e the o ven. W hen using a browning dish o r self-hea ting material, always place a heat-resistant insulator such a s a po rce lain plate under it to prevent da mag e to the turnta b le a nd roller stay due to heat stress. The p reheating time specified in the dish’s instructions must not be exceede d . Do not use metal utensils, w hich reflec t microwaves and may cause electrica l a rcing. Do no t put cans in the oven.
If the power supply c o rd of this appliance is da mag e d, it must be rep laced with a special co rd. The exc hange must b e made b y a n authorised SHARP service a g ent.
To av oid the possibility of ex plosion and sudden boiling:

Never use sea led c o ntainers. Remo ve sea ls a nd lids before use. Sea led c o ntainers can explo de due to a build up o f pressure even after the oven has been turned o ff. Take care when microwaving liquids. Use a wide­mouthed co ntainer to allow bubb les to escape.
N e ver h ea t liq uid s in na rr ow n ecke d conta in er s such a s b a by b ott les, a s thi s may result in the contents erupting from the container w hen heated and cause burns.
To prevent sudde n eruptio n o f bo iling liquid and po ssible scalding:
1. Stir liquid prior to heating/ rehea ting .
2. It is advisab le to insert a glass rod o r similar utensil
into the liquid w hilst reheating.
3. Le t liquid stand in the o ven a t the e nd of coo king
time to prevent de layed e ruptive b oiling.

Pierce the skin o f such foo ds as po tato es, sausag es and fruit before co o king, o r they may e xplo de.
To avoid the possibility of burns
Use p o t holde rs o r o ven g lo ves when removing fo o d fro m the oven to prevent burns. Alwa ys o pen co ntainers, po pco rn makers, oven coo king bag s, etc., a w a y from the face a nd hands to avoid steam burns.
To avoid burns, alw ays test food te m pe r a tu r e a n d stir be f or e ser v in g a n d pay spe cial a t ten tio n to t he t em p er a t ur e of fo od and drink given to ba bie s, children or the elderly.

1. Remove a ll pa c king materials from the inside o f the
oven c a vity. Discard the loo se po lythene sheet fro m between the d o or a nd cavity. Remove the fea ture sticker, if attached, from the outside of the do or.
2. Check the o ven c a refully for any signs o f damag e.
3. Place the o ven o n a flat, level surface strong
eno ug h to support the o ven’s weight p lus the hea viest item likely to be co o ked.

or mount the o ven so tha t the b o ttom of the o ven is 85 cm o r mo re a b o ve the floo r.
5. Ensure there is a minimum free spa c e a b o ve the
oven o f 2 1 cm.
6. Securely co nnect the plug o f the oven to a
standa rd earthed (g rounded) househo ld elec trical outlet.

the turntable to c o ol.
(b) Do not put hot foods or ho t utensils on a c o ld
turntable.
(c) Do not put c o ld foo d s o r c o ld utensils on a ho t
turntable. Do not place anything o n the outer cabinet during operatio n. Do not use plastic co ntainers for micro waving if the oven is still hot from using the GRILLmode, DUAL
GRILL mode and EX PRESS COO K operation,
because they may melt. Plastic c o ntainers must no t be used during abo ve mo des unless the co ntainer manufac turer says they are suitab le.

BEFORE OPERATION
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. Cho o se the c lock functio n.
(12 hour clock).
Cho ose the 24 hour cloc k.
3. Press the COOKIN G MODE butto n to change
fro m hours to minute s.
4. Set the minutes. Rotate the T IMER / WEIGHT/ POW ER
kno b until the correct minute is displayed (3 5).
5. Press the COOKIN G MODE butto n to start
the c lock.
2. Set the ho urs. Rotate the TIMER/ W EIGHT/ POWER knob until the co rrect hour is
displaye d (2 3 ).

Example:
To set the 2 4 ho ur clock to 23 :35
There a re two setting modes: 1 2 ho ur clock and 2 4 hour cloc k.

To set the 1 2 ho ur clock, hold the COOKING M ODE

NOTES:
1. Yo u can rotate the TIM ER/ W EIGH T/ PO W ER
kno b cloc kwise o r c o unter-cloc kwise.
2. Press the STO P b utton if yo u make a mistake
during prog ramming .
3. If the electrica l po wer supply to yo ur microwave oven is interrupted, the d isplay will intermittently
show after the power is reinstated. If this o c c urs during coo king , the prog ramme will b e erased . The time o f day will also be erased.
4. W hen you w a nt to reset the time o f day, follo w the above example a g ain.
Plug in the o ven.

Using the STOP button
Use the STOP b utton to :
1. Erase a mistake during programming.
2. Sto p the o ven tempo rarily during coo king.
3. Cancel a prog ramme during co o king, touch twice.
