EFFECT OF CLUSTER IONS
How bacteria-removing ions eradicate floating mold fungus.
Testing organization: Ishikawa Prefecture Preventive Medicine Organization
Bacteria-removing ions (large volume of plus and minus ions) gather around the surfaces of floating mold fungus.
Bacteria-removing ions, consisting of plus ions (hydrogen ions: H+) and minus ions (oxygen ions: O2), react on the surfaces of the floating mold fungus and change to a very powerful active substance of hydroxyl radical OH.
Hydroxyl radical OH removes hydrogen atoms from the cell walls of floating mold fungus and destroys the cell walls. Mold fungus with broken cell walls is self-destroyed!

HOW THE HYBRID HUMIDIFIER WORKS
Hybrid humidifier uses a combination of evaporation method, which humidifies the air by applying air to the humidification filter, and the heat method, which assists evaporation by warming the air using a heater. When starting operation, warm air is applied to the humidification filter for humidification. The heater is turned off when the air reaches the set filter and uses the air in the room to maintain set humidity while conserving power.
What is a hybrid humidifier?
Humidification using heat/evaporation method
Evaporation-type humidification
Method of applying air when drying clothes quickly .
Heat-type humidification
Method of applying warm air when drying clothes more quickly. More moisture is released as vapor than with cool air.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
To correctly detect the temperature/humidity.
• Place the unit free from direct sunlight and warm air from air conditioners and heaters.
• Place the unit where the intake air temperature is between 0 ~ 35°C.
To reduce indoor humidity differences.
•Temperature and humidity will differ between areas near the floor and ceiling. It circulates through indoor air.
Correct placement.
• Always place the unit on a stable, level surface.
• Maintain sufficient spacing as shown in the illustration to prevent malfunctions, deterioration, and damage as well as deformation and staining of walls and furniture from humidification.
About the current humidity display.
(Use the humidity display only as a guide.) Current humidity display displays the humidity measured with built-in temperature/humidity sensors.
• The temperature will differ depending on the lo-
cation in the room. Select an appropriate location for the placement of the unit.
• Immediately after the start of operation, the sen-
sors will be influenced by the internal temperature and humidity and requires about 5 minutes for the current humidity display to stabilize.
Steam and mist are not visible.
• Since the unit uses the humidification method of
applying air to the humidification filter and discharging humidified air (heat/evaporation ), steam will not be visible as with steam fan type and ultrasonic type humidifiers.
Discharged air is not warm.
• Since the heat is taken when vaporizing water using the humidification filter even during heat/
evaporation operation, the discharged air will not be warm. Depending on the wideness of the room, the air may even feel cold.
The amount of humidification will vary depending on the temperature and humidity.
• Since water is difficult to vaporize
under conditions such as high humidity when there is rain or when the temperature is low, the amount of humidified air will be less.
(The tank water will decrease more
slowly.)

CAUTIONS CONCERNING USAGE
Be sure to follow the items described below to prevent damage, deterioration and trouble.
Do not block the intake and discharge ports.
Blocking the intake port or discharge port may cause deformation and/or malfunction as a result.
Do not place the unit on thick carpets, thick blankets, etc.
The internal temperature will rise and may cause the sensors to malfunction as a result.
Do not place in a location exposed to direct wind or in a location where unit is in contact with wall, furniture, curtains, ceiling, etc.
Staining and/or deformation may occur as a result.
Place the unit at least 2m from televisions, radios, electromagnetic clocks, etc.
Electrical interference or malfunction of flow switch may occur as a result.
At least 2m  of space
Do not use at the location with high humidity (about 70% or more).
Malfunction may occur as a result.
Do not place under direct sunlight or near heating apparatus.
Deformation, discoloration and/or malfunctions of temperature and humidity sensors and safety mechanisms may occur as a result. In addition, the air within the tank may expand, causing the water to spill.
Take caution to freezing water.
If there is a risk of water becoming frozen, empty the water within the tank and tray. Using frozen water may cause malfunction to occur as a result.
Clean periodically.
Adhering of large amounts of water scaling may cause malfunction to occur as a result.
Do not use other than tap water.
(Conventional tap water is sterilized with chlorine to suppress propagation of bacteria.)
•Using hot water of 40°C or higher, chemical agents, aromatic substances, dirty water, etc. may cause deformation and/or malfunction to occur as a result.
• Using mineral water, ionized alkaline water, well water, purified water, etc., may cause increased water scaling, creating an environment for mold fungus and bacteria to easily propagate.
Do not use the unit with the humidification filter removed.
Malfunction may occur as a result.
Empty water when not in use.
When not in use, empty the water within the tank and tray. Leaving water within the tank and tray will cause mold fungus and bacteria to easily propagate.

Symptom
Check location and remedy
The current humidity is always high
The current humidity is higher than the set humidity
Reading on the current humidity display and that of a hygrometer are different.
Noise is heard
Bubbling sound
Buzzing sound
Air is discharged from the discharge port after stopping operation
Rooms facing north and rooms near bathrooms accumulate steam very easily and thus the humidity may become high.
If symptom persists even when moving the unit to another room, contact your dealer of purchase.
Is the unit being used in a highly-dense or small room?
Circulate the air within the room.(Page5)
There are differences in the humidity depending on the areaof the room.
Accuracy and response speed to changes in humidity are different from the humidity sensor of the humidifier and other humidity instrumentation. (Use the humidity display only as a guide.)
This is the sound that is produced when water is being supplied to the tray from the tank.
The discharge sound of cluster ions may increase or decrease depending on the humidity of the room. The sound may not be noticed at all at times, but the effect of the cluster ions is the same. If the sound becomes irritating, place the unit further away.
After stopping operation, the fan will rotate for about 1 minute to prevent the internal temperature from rising.
