The new S1500 power amplifier from Samson is designed for maximum reliability and efficient performance in a vari­ety of live sound reinforcement situations, commercial installations and for powering PA systems.
Delivering 750 watts per side into four ohms and 1500 watts into eight ohms in bridged mono mode, the three­space rackmount amp features two speed-controlled fans that react to changes in temperature for maximum efficien­cy. A bipolar design enables more stable operation while ensuring high-quality audio performance. The front panel includes two precise 41-detent input level controls with 3­segment LED, output metering and dual protection LEDs linked to special relay-controlled LEDs to avoid speaker damage.
A number of practical features such as XLR inputs and locking TRS inputs and parallel outputs for "daisy-chain­ing" several amps together complete this rugged performer.

SPECIFICATION
The power amplifier shall be capable of stereo, mono bridged or parallel (daisy chain) operation. In stereo mode, it shall deliver a minimum of 750 watts into loads of 4 ohms each with both channels operating. In mono bridge mode, it shall deliver a minimum of 1500 watts into an 8 ohm load. It shall be cooled by two temperature sensitive speed-con­trolled fans, and shall have internal short-circuit and thermal protection circuitry. A protection LED indicator shall acti­vate and the power amplifier shall shut down to protect against short circuits, overheating, severe overcurrent con­ditions or DC offset present at the outputs. The power amplifier shall have slow start-up and muted inputs on turn­on. Inputs shall be on XLR and locking balanced 1/4″ tip- ring-sleeve connectors. Outputs shall be on Banana jack and Speakon™ connectors. The front panel shall have indepen­dent level controls for left and right channels, a master power switch and LED indicators for power, clip, -20dB, -40dB and amplifier protection.
The power amplifier shall have a frequency response of 9 Hz to 42 kHz, signal-to-noise equal to or greater than 105 dB and THD less than 0.03%. The dimensions shall allow for standard 19EIA rack mounting. It shall be 5.25 (133.35 mm; 3 rack spaces) high and 9.75(247 mm) deep. Weight shall be 48 lb. (21.8 kg). The power amplifier shall carry a three-year warranty.
The power amplifier shall be a SAMSON S1500.
