Setting up the Cyborg 5.1 Speakers
1. First, position the speakers around your PC as shown in the
diagram left. As you look at your PC, the single speaker unit with
the red phono plug should be on the right, the single speaker unit
with white phono plug on the left and the double speaker unit with
the black phono plug in the centre.
Position the rear speaker units behind you. Again, the speaker unit
with red plug to your right and the unit with white plug to your left.
2. Insert the speaker plugs in the corresponding sockets on the
subwoofer, connect the remote control and plug the subwoofer into
the mains power supply and switch it on.
3. On the back of your PC:
Insert one of the 3.5mm audio
jackplugs into the front channels
socket and the white phono plug at
the other end into the FL socket and
the red phono plug into the FR input
socket on the subwoofer.
Insert another 3.5 mm audio jackplug
into the rear channels socket and the
white phono plug at the other end into
the RL socket and red phono plug into
the RR input socket on the subwoofer.
Insert the third 3.5 mm audio jackplug
into the centre channel and subwoofer
socket and the white phono plug at
the other end into the SUB input and red phono plug into the CEN
input on the subwoofer.
4. For maximum bass effect, place the subwoofer on the floor under
your desk/table.
5. Power up the speaker system power by pressing the on/off switch
on the remote control unit. With the Cyborg speakers' volume
control at 0, open a 5.1 audio source, eg DVD, on your PC and
adjust the volume level to three quarters. Now turn up the Cyborg
speakers' volume to the desired listening level.

6. You can use the Cyborg speakers' bass contour feature
on the remote control to adjust the frequency response
of the speaker system to suit your listening
environment. To increase bass boost, turn the bass
contour control clockwise. To reduce bass boost, turn
the bass contour control anti-clockwise
Other features
The remote control unit has a 3.5mm headphones input. The speaker
system is muted when headphones are connected.
The sub-woofer unit features a 2.1/5.1 mode switch. The switch
should be set to 5.1 mode when listening to a 5.1 source. For simple
stereo operation, select 2.1 mode.
Positioning the speakers
For optimum 5.1 surround sound imaging, listen to the system from
your normal seated position, with the front satellites approximately 3
feet (one metre) apart and 3 feet (one metre) from your ears, cones
pointing upwards, and the rear satellites behind you approximately 3
feet (one metre) apart and 3 feet (one metre) from your ears, cones
pointing upwards towards the back of your head.
Do not use your Cyborg 5.1 speakers at excessive volume levels. If
your speakers sound distorted, turn down the volume and/or bass
contour controls until the distortion stops.
WARNING: Prolonged use at high volume may damage your hearing.
Please note: Your Cyborg 5.1 speakers will only produce 5.1
surround sound from a PC fitted with a 5.1 sound card or from
other sources through a 5.1 sound decoder. If you want to listen
to a stereo source, connect it to the “Line in” FL and FR inputs
on the subwoofer and move the “Output mode” switch to “2.1”.

Setup der Cyborg 5.1 Lautsprecher
1. Positionieren Sie zunächst die Lautsprecher rund um den PC, wie
im Diagramm links gezeigt. Wenn Sie auf den PC schauen, sollte
sich die Einzellautsprechereinheit mit dem roten Cinchstecker
rechts, die Einzellautsprechereinheit mit dem weißen Cinchstecker
links und die Doppellautsprechereinheit mit dem schwarzen
Cinchstecker in der Mitte befinden.
Positionieren Sie die hinteren Lautsprechereinheiten hinter sich.
Dabei sollte sich die Lautsprechereinheit mit dem roten Stecker
wiederum rechts und die Einheit mit dem weißen Stecker links von
Ihnen befinden.
2. Verbinden Sie die Lautsprecherstecker mit den entsprechenden
Anschlussbuchsen auf dem Subwoofer, schließen Sie die
Fernbedienung an, verbinden Sie den Subwoofer mit dem
Stromnetz und schalten Sie ihn ein.
3. Auf der Rückseite Ihres PC:
Verbinden Sie eines der 3,5 mm
Audio-Miniklinkenkabel mit der
Buchse für die vorderen Kanäle, den
weißen Cinchstecker am anderen
Ende mit der VL Buchse und den
roten Cinchstecker mit der HR
Eingangsbuchse auf dem Subwoofer.
Verbinden Sie ein weiteres 3,5 mm
Audio-Miniklinkenkabel mit der
Buchse für die hinteren Kanäle, den
weißen Cinchstecker am anderen
Ende mit der HL Buchse und den
roten Cinchstecker mit der HR
Eingangsbuchse auf dem Subwoofer.
Verbinden Sie das dritte 3,5 mm
Audio-Miniklinkenkabel mit dem
mittleren Kanal und der Subwooferbuchse, den weißen
Cinchstecker am anderen Ende mit dem SUB-Eingang und den
roten Cinchstecker mit dem CEN-Eingang auf dem Subwoofer.
