The Power To Protect
Power conditioners might not be sparkling conversation at your
next family gathering, but their quiet existence in your home au-
dio/video system will ensure that you have ready enter tainment
no matter what happens to the AC coming into your home.
You may not be aware of it, but the electrical current that we
take for granted to light our rooms and cook our meals is not
always friendly to the electronics plugged into it. Expensive mu-
sic and home theater systems have many sensitive circuits that
require a smooth, steady supply of regulated power to sound
and look their best.
Unfortunately many circumstances such as electrical storms,
concurrent use of appliances in the home or even heavy AC
demand around your neighborhood can cause wide variations in
the electrical supply. These uncontrollable electrical events can
limit the life expectancy of your A/V components at best
and even destroy them at worst.
That‘s why Rotel has partnered with APC AV, Engineered Power
SolutionsTM, to develop two advanced new power line condition-
ers that will protect and enhance your listening and viewing
enjoyment of your valuable home entertainment systems.
Conditioned Power
While it’s pretty obvious when the power goes out, there are
other electrical problems that people can’t see, which can cause
havoc and loss of quality in their home entertainment system.
Electrical events such as “brown-outs” (very low voltage) and
“over-voltages” can cause system failures and component
damage when extreme. Rotel’s power conditioners correct these
situations and keep everything running smoothly. Actual “let-
through” voltage is less than 40 volts (a remarkable figure.)
Filtered Power
The electrical power coming in to your home is actually very
noisy from electro-magnetic and radio frequency inter ference.
Even the audio/video components in your home entertainment
system can interfere with each other. This electrical noise can
make its way into your audio and video components and cause
distortion. Rotel’s power conditioners filter out this noise and
prevent signal degradation.
Complete System Protection
It’s not just power supply connections to your A/V components
that need protecting. It is very common for surges and spikes
to enter a system over coax, Phone or Ethernet lines. Rotel’s
conditioners provide complete protection at these entr y points
with low insertion loss input jacks. Three pairs of coax jacks
(two pairs for RLC 1040) are included to protect CATV, satellite,
and antenna lines. Both models provide a coax splitter to
accommodate CATV and Broadband service provided by their
cable TV supplier.
