This manual describes the new functions available in BR-900CD Version 2. For
more information on other features not included in this manual, refer to the
BR-900CD Owner’s Manual.

Version 2 Features

Includes BOSS GT-PRO COSM Amp Modeling

■

Version 2 incorporates COSM amp modeling from the world-renowned BOSS GT­PRO professional effects processor. Featuring modeling of 46 different amp types,
including the Roland JC-120, the BR-900CD now makes it simple to enjoy a wide
variety of amp tones.

■

1 GB Memory Card Included

Also included in the BR-900CD package is a 1 GB CompactFlash memory card,
which enables extended recording times of up to approximately 520 minutes (mono
track equivalent) in HiFi mode.
This provides expanded functionality and allows you to keep and carry numerous
songs, all recorded on a single memory card.

Treble

0–100 Adjusts the tone for the high frequency range.

Presence

0–100 Adjusts the tone for the ultra high frequency range.

Level

0–100 Adjusts the volume of the entire preamp.

Bright

Turns the bright setting on/off.

* Depending on the “Type” setting, this may not be displayed.

OFF Bright is not used.

ON Bright is switched on to create a lighter and crisper

Gain SW

LOW, MIDDLE, HIGH Provides for selection from three levels of distortion:

Algorithms from the GT-PRO (COSM AMP PRO)

Version 2 now provides new effects algorithms from the GT-PRO. These algorithms
have been entitled “COSM AMP PRO.”

* Although you can use two different COSM amp models simultaneously with the GT-

PRO, the BR-900CD Version 2 supports use of only one type at a time.

The following effects blocks are included in the COSM AMP PRO algorithms.

Preamp&Speaker Simulator

COSM technology plays an indispensable role in simulating the distinguishing
characteristics of various guitar amps in the “Preamp” section, and is also used to
simulate various speaker sizes and cabinet constructions in the “Speaker Simulator.”

The trademarks listed in this document are trademarks of their respective
owners, which are separate companies from BOSS.
Those companies are not affiliated with BOSS and have not licensed or
authorized BOSS’s BR-900CD. Their marks are used solely to identify the
equipment whose sound is simulated by BOSS’s BR-900CD.

OFF, ON Switches the tone to one suitable for solos.

Solo Level

0–100 Adjusts the volume level when the Solo switch is ON.

Select the speaker type.

BOSS GT-PRO の COSM アンプ・モデリングを搭載

世界中で高い評価を得ているプロフェッショナル向けエフェクター BOSS GT-PRO
の COSM アンプ・モデリングを継承しました。
ローランド JC-120 をはじめとする多くの名機のモデリングを 46 種類搭載し、手軽
に様々なアンプの音色が楽しめます。

1GB のメモリー・カードを付属

■

付属のメモリー・ カードとして 1GB のコンパクトフラッシュを同梱しており、HiFi
モードで約 520 分（モノ・トラック換算）の長時間録音が可能です。
1 枚 のメモリー・カードに多数のソングを録音したまま持ち運ぶなど、使い方も広が
ります。

GT-PRO から継承したアルゴリズム

（COSM AMP PRO）

Version2 では、GT-PRO から継承したエフェクト・アルゴリズムを新たに搭載しま
した。このアルゴリズムを、COSM AMP PROと呼びます。

※ GT-PROでは COSM アンプ・モデリングを 2 系統同時に使用可能ですが、

BR-900CD Version 2 では 1 系統のみ使用可能となります。

COSM 技術により、「プリアンプ」ではギター・アンプの特性を、「スピーカー・シ
ミュレーター」ではスピーカーのサイズとキャビネットの形状をシミュレートします。

以降記載 の会社名および製品名は各社の商 標または登録商標で ボスとは関係
ありません。
本書では COSM によってシミュレートされたサウンドを適切に表現するため
に、これらの名称を使用しています。

Bright（ブライト）

ブライト・オン／オフを設定します。
※ Type の設定によっては、表示されないことがあります。

OFF ブライトを使用しません。
ON ブライトを使用して、より歯切れのよい明るい音質に

なります。

Gain SW（ゲイン・スイッチ）

LOW, MIDDLE, HIGH アンプの歪み具合をLOW ／ MIDDLE ／ HIGH の3 段

階で切り替えます。LOW、MIDDLE、HIGH の順番で
歪みが大きくなります。
※ 各タイプの音色は、ゲインが MIDDLE のときを基

準に音作りされています。通常は MIDDLE の位置
で使用してください。

Solo SW（ソロ・スイッチ）

OFF, ON ソロに適した音色に切り替わります。

Solo Level（ソロ・レベル）

0〜100 ソロ・スイッチがオンの時の音量を調節します。

Type（スピーカー・タイプ）

スピーカーの種類を選びます。

ては、メロディーは入 っておらず、シンプルな伴奏のみとなっています。コード進
行も単純な繰り返 しですので、後からギター演奏を重ねて楽しんだり、アドリブ演
