3.1 Location and Suspension
All models:
• Must be installed indoors.
• Must be installed in a level position.
• Fan must be suspended from above (See Page 7, Figure 4). Drop rods must be a minimum of 10 mm diameter mild steel. Four suspension points (M10 nuts) are located on top of fan. Mounting hardware must be sufficient to support fan weight as listed in the dimension data on Page 4, Sec- tion 2.3.
• Must be installed in a manner which allows
access to all serviceable components.
3.2 Minimum Required Installation Clearances.
Clearances around fan must be as indicated on Page 4, Section 2.3 to ensure access for servicing and cor-
rect operation.

4.2 Electrical Supply
All fans and controls need a constant 230 V 50 Hz single phase supply connected to terminals L, N, and Earth. Polarity "L & N" must be correct. The voltage between neutral and earth should be 0 and never exceed 15 volts.
All fans and controls must be correctly earthed. All external wiring must comply with relevant IEE and local regulations and be carried out by a qualified electrician.

SECTION 6: TROUBLESHOOTING
6.1 Sequence of Operation
The BJ8 Fan Control uses an external temperature sensor to automatically adjust HVE Fan speed. In AUTO mode, fan speed will increase as temperature rises beyond the point set at temperature dial. In MAX mode, fan will run at full speed regardless of temperature. The BJ8 has an ON/OFF switch for turning HVE Fan(s) on and off. The temperature sensor should be located as close as possible to one of the HVE Fans it is controlling.
The DP5 and WAC6 Fan Controls offer manual control over HVE Fan speed. See Page 8, Section 5 wir- ing diagrams to utilize HVE Fan thermostat. In this case, each fan will turn on when temperature at fan exceeds thermostat setpoint. The fans speed will be determined by speed set on controller. To disable HVE Fan thermostat, wire line power to terminal “1” rather than terminal “L”.. In this configuration, fan control ON/OFF switch will be used to turn HVE Fan(s) on and off.
If a fan control is not used, the built in thermostat on each HVE fan will turn equipment on when temperature at fan exceeds setpoint of thermostat.
