DETAILS OF MODIFICATION

The following three parts have been change d to the ones wh ich are used in oth er mod els.

- Press Roller Shaft

A flat face has been added on the shaft as shown on the next page.

- Adjusting Plate - Exit Pawl

Due to the ad de d fla t face on the shaft, the conn ect ing part has been lowered 2 mm.

- Pressure ON / OFF Lever

To ensure that th is part is fixed to the adjusting plate in the exact correct posit ion and that it
does not move durin g op era tion, the distance between the two screw holes has been increased.
(The position of the screw holes on the adju stin g pla te side has also cha ng ed .) This part can be installed
with the old typ e ad just ing plate because it has a screw hole for the old adjusting plate (C2 09 55 70 ).
This part is needed only when the optional A4 drum is used .

The press roller shaft and exit pawl adjust ing plate are fixed by a bolt (# 05950140E ), and these new parts can
prevent the bolt from b ein g broken due to excessive stress.

Due to part standardization, the idler roller used in the paper delivery vacuum unit (Idler
Roller - Transport Belt) has been modif ied. Both ends of the roller shaft have been threaded
to fit with nuts instead of E-rings (Retaining Ring - M4), as shown below.

The new type removes any thrust play between the roller shaft and bearings, and will improve
durability (shaft wear will be reduced).
