Revox EIB Protocol
This Operating manual describes the layout and the setting options on
the M203 EIB-Bridge pages.
The description does not include the Revox EIB Protocol that the EIB
programmer must adhere to, so that the M203 EIB-Bridge can
recognise the incoming EIB Group addresses and convert them into
functions for the Revox Multiroom System.
Apart from the main Group address X, the EIB Group addresses for the
Revox Multiroom System are defined by Revox and cannot be modified.
For a fast and simple introduction, you should download the following
files from the Revox Homepage, www.revox.de/ Download/ Re:connect.

2. EIB Configuration guide for Revox Multiroom System (Excel)

M203 EIB-Bridge
The M203 EIB-Bridge establishes
the bridge between on the one
side the Revox Multiroom System
and on the other side, the EIB
Domestic facility management
system.
The data exchange occurs
between the M203 EIB serial
interface and a serial EIB data
interface for bus couplers.
Installation
The M203 interface can be
installed easily and quickly.
There are two types of fixing
available.
Connection plan
The M203 EIB-Bridge is only
designed to handle communication with an EIB data interface
and cannot receive any other
protocols. The normal RS232
software (203-1) can be loaded
using the Revox programmer.
The EIB software is not copy
protected.
1) The four outside fixing holes
are used for a permanent
installation.
2) Revox recommends using
the two slots on the side for a
variable installation.

Connection:
M203 with M51
Socket: M51 LINK IN
The M203 interface is
connected to the M51 LINK IN
socket on the back of the M51
with the telephone cable
supplied.
If you want to use a different
cable for some reason, you
should use only a non-
crossed, 4-core telephone
cable with an RJ11 plug (6P4C
modular).
Cables up to 100 metres in
length can be used.
Connection
:
M203 with external interfaces
Socket: M51 LINK OUT
The M51 LINK OUT can be
used to connect additional
external interfaces to the M203
interface. These could, for
example, be the M201 IR
interface, a M200 Domotic
interface, a M202 Ethernet
interface or simply an additional
M203.
You should use only a non-
crossed, 4-core telephone
cable with an RJ11 plug (6P4C
modular) for this connection.
