CHARGING
BEFORE USING, READ THE IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL.
1. Ensure the product is switched off. Connect the shaver to the adapter (Diagram A).
2. Connect to the mains (Diagram B) and charge for at least 24 hours when using for the first time (Diagram C). This first charge is important to the shaver’s battery life.
3. When plugged in, the charging indicator will light up.
4. When empty, the battery should be charged for 2 hours, and will provide 60 minutes of shaving time.
5. To preserve the life of the batteries, allow them to fully discharge every six months, and then recharge them for 24 hours.
CAUTION!
· Make sure the shaver and your hands are dry when charging the shaver.
· Always charge the shaver in a cool, dry place.
SHAVING
1. Press power button to turn on. (Diagram D)
2. Pull the trimmer release button to engage the trimmer, and use it to remove long hair first. Then push the trimmer downward to lock it in when finished.
3. Shave the face and neck using short, circular strokes. (Diagram E). The independent flexing foils will automatically adjust to the contours of your face.
4. After shaving, turn the shaver off by pressing the power button.
SHAVING TIPS
• Ensure your skin is free of oils.
• Wait at least 15 minutes after getting up before shaving, to ensure your face is free of puffiness that may be present from sleeping.
• Always hold the shaver at a right angle to the skin so that the screens are touching the skin with equal pressure.
• Stretch skin with the free hand so hairs stand upright, making it easier for them to enter the cutting chamber.
• Use moderate to slow, circular stroking movements.
• The use of short, circular motions in stubborn areas may obtain a closer shave, especially along the neck and chin line.

• Do not press hard against the skin to avoid skin irritation and/or damage to the shaver head.
NOTE: We recommend that you use your new shaver daily for up to four weeks to allow time for your hair and skin to become accustomed to the new shaving system.
CLEANING AND CARE
CARING FOR YOUR SHAVER: This shaver is a washable appliance. The head assembly part may be cleaned under warm water.
NOTE: When cleaning your shaver, make sure the shaver is turned off and disconnected from the power cord.
CAUTION!
• Shaver can be placed under running water for cleaning only. Never submerge the shaver in water.
• Never clean the shaver or replace the cutters while it is plugged into an electrical outlet. Do not remove or replace head assembly while shaver is running as it may cause damage to the unit’s foils and cutters.
• To clean the external surfaces of the shaver, use a damp cloth. Do not use strong detergents or other chemicals.
• To dry, wipe the surface of the shaver with a dry towel. Do not use a hair dryer or heater to dry the shaver.
• The shaver should not be used until it has dried.
Cover the shaver foils with the protective head guard between uses. When removing the head guard or placing it back onto the shaver, do not apply pressure to the foils as you may damage them.
CLEANING YOUR SHAVER: Daily Cleaning: NOTE: We recommend following these steps after each use.
1. Grasp the front and back of the cutter assembly and pull away from the shaver body. (Diagram G)
2. Tap the stubble from the foils and cutters.
3. Use the cleaning brush to sweep any loose hairs from the cutters and trimmer. Rinse them in cold or warm water. DO NOT use hot water. DO NOT submerge the shaver in water. (Diagram H & I)
4. After cleaning, replace the hair pocket assembly. (Diagram J)
Page 6
Monthly Cleaning:
1. Perform the daily cleaning steps 1-3.
2. Place a drop of liquid soap on the inside near each set of cutters. (Diagram K)
3. Brush the soap around vigorously with the supplied cleaning brush. (Diagram L)
4. Add a small amount of water to the cutters.
5. Replace the foil assembly. (Diagram M)
6. Turn on the shaver for approximately 30 seconds.
7. While the shaver is running, rinse the foils under running water. (Diagram N)
8. Turn off shaver.
9. Remove foil assembly.
10. Rinse cutters and foil assembly thoroughly. (Diagram O)
11. Shake off excess water.
12. Replace foil assembly. (Diagram M)
13. Allow shaver to dry before next use.
NOTE: Lubricate teeth of trimmer with oil every six months.
REPLACING YOUR HEADS & CUTTERS
It is very important to replace your head and cutters when necessary to ensure a close, comfortable shave without irritation. We recommend they be replaced every 6 months. Here are some signs of head and cutter wear, indicating that replacement is needed:
• Irritation: As foils get worn, you may experience skin irritation. As the foils become excessively worn you may experience some skin irritation or redness.
• Pulling: As the cutters wear, your shaver may not feel as close and you may feel your cutter pulling your hair.
• Wear through: You may notice that the cutters have worn through the foils.
Replacement heads & cutters may be obtained from your local retailer, or directly from Remington®. Simply fill out the enclosed accessory order form or alternatively your order can be processed over the phone via the Remington® Service Hotline.
STORAGE
When not in use, always unplug the power adaptor from the power outlet. Never wrap the cord of the power adaptor around the unit as this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle the cord carefully for long life and avoid jerking, twisting or straining especially at the power plug. If the cord becomes twisted in use, periodically straighten it.
