F IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1 Warning – for additional protection the installation of a residual current
device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is
advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask an elec trician
for advice.
2 For UK household use only. Currently, the tting in a bathroom of an electrical
socket suitable or capable of operating the dryer/straightener is not
permitted (see BS7671).
3 This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been supervised/instructed and
understand the haz ards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not b e done by children unless they are
older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of
children under 8 years.
4 Always ensure the voltage to be used corresponds to the voltage stated on
the unit before plugging the appliance into the mains socket.
5 Warning: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins
or other vessels containing water.
6 When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since
the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched
o.
7 Do not immerse the appliance in liquid; do not use it near water
in a bath-tub, basin or other vessel; and don’t use it outdoors.
8 Keep direc t airow away from eyes or other sensitive areas.
9 Do not allow any part of the appliance touch the face, neck or scalp.
10 During use, always ensure the inlet and outlet grilles are not blocked in any
way as this will cause the unit to automatically stop. If this should occur,
switch o and allow the unit to cool.
11 Ensure the inlet grille is free from obstructions such as u, loose hair etc.
12 Keep the power plug and cord away from heated surfaces.
13 Do not leave the appliance unat tended while plugged in.
14 Only set the appliance down on a heat-proof surface.
15 Do not place the appliance on any soft furnishings.
16 Do not use attachments other than those we supply.
17 Do not set the appliance down while still on.
18 Do not twist or kink the cable, or wrap it round the appliance.
19 Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctions.

20 Do not wrap the cord around the unit. Check the cord regularly for any sign
damage.
21 If the supply cord of this unit becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately
and return the appliance to your nearest authorised Remington® service
dealer for repair or replacement in order to avoid a hazard.

23 Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.

F INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Wash and condition your hair as normal.
• Squeeze out excess moisture with a towel and comb through.
, Hairsprays contain ammable material – do not use while using this product.
• Plug the product into the mains power supply.
• For fast drying use the high heat / high speed function.
• Select the desired temperature and speed setting using the switches on the
handle.
• To create smooth st yles use the concentrator and a round hair brush (not
included) whilst drying.
• To set your style, press the cool shot but ton whilst styling then release it to
reactivate the heat.
• After use, turn the appliance o and unplug.
• To turn o slide the speed setting switch down to the ‘0’ position.
• Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.
, Eco Setting
• To use the dryer on the eco setting align the heat and speed setting switches
with the eco symbol ( ).
C CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool.
• To maintain peak product performance and to prolong motor life, it is
important to regularly remove any dust and dirt from the air lter grille and
clean with a soft brush.
• To remove the rear grille, for cleaning, hold the dryer handle in one hand,
then with the other place your thumb and index nger either side of the rear
grille. Pull the rear grille away from the dryer.
• To replace the rear grille hold in place with thumb and index nger again
and click back onto the dryer.

• CAUTION : the appliance will begin to heat-up as soon as the power supply is
switched on.
• Working on one section at a time, run the straightener through the entire
length of the hair without stopping.
• Only repeat twice per section to prevent damage to the hair.
• After use, turn the appliance o and unplug.
• Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.

• The indicator light will stop ashing once the desired temperature is reached.
• Use the heat protection glove to avoid accidental burns.
• Hold the handle and wrap the hair around the heated barrel.
• Wait about 10 seconds for the curl to form.
• Unwind the tong and release the curl.
• Allow the hair to cool before styling.
• Repeat this around the head to create as many curls as desired.
• When nished slide the switch down to turn o and unplug the appliance.
• Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.
