As with every shaver, your shaver will improve over time. So allow about three weeks to develop an effective shaving style and for your skin to adjust to the new shaver. The adaptation period may take a little longer if your skin is sensitive,if you are switching from a different way of shaving,or it your alternate between shaving methods.
To Shave
Push the on/off button locking bar inward and push upward on the on/off button to actuate the shaver for shaving.(Locking bar on rechargeable models only.)
To Trim
To use the Easy-View™pop-up trimmer, simply push the trimmer button up.The trimmer will pop-up for use.Hold the shaver as shown in the illustration. To
conserve battery energy (on rechargeable shavers only),it is recommended to use the trimmer only when needed for trimming. When through using, push the trimmer button downward to lock into the off position.

Shaving Tips and Instructions
For a smoother, more comfortable, moisture free shave, use a Remington®Pre-Shave Powder Stick. For those who prefer a liquid, use the non-greasy Remington®Pre Shave Lotion, specially formulated with a unique suspended powder and aloe for extra conditioning and protection.
Tips For Use
• Clean your shaver frequently.
• Always keep the protective headquard on the cutter head and keep the trimmer in the “off” position when the shaver is not in use.
• Before using, make sure that the cutter head assembly is in locked position.
• Wait at least 15 minutes after getting up before shaving.
• Thoroughly cleanse and dry skin prior to shaving.
• Your R-850 cord/cordless shaver should not be used strictly as a cord-operated shaver, as continued cord only use will result in reduction of battery life.
