properly. Here are some simple instructions, which if properly used, can save you time and
mechanic’s service call.

What do I do when the thread breaks?

Poor thread quality too old, (not strong enough)
Check for defective needle (bent or blunt) replace the needle.
Make sure you are using the correct needle system (see owner’s manual).
Check for the correct passing of the thread.
Check thread tension, could be too tight.
Check to see if the needle is falling in the middle of the buttonhole.

What do I check if the needles are breaking?

Select the correct size needle for the type of work being done.
Make sure you are using the correct needle system; (see owner’s manual).
Make sure the needle is inserted correctly.
Check to see if the needle is falling in the middle of the buttonhole.
Check for the correct setting of the needle guard and looper (see owner’s manual).

What do I check if the buttons are not being sewn?

Check to see if the needle is falling in the middle of the buttonhole (align button).
Make sure the handle indicator is set at the correct number on the graduated plate for the
button that is being sewn (see owner’s manual).
Check for defective needle (bent or blunt) replace the needle.

What do I check if the machine is not stopping?

Check the stop motion disc pressure; (see owners manual).
