6.4EMCinstallationguidelines
Raymarine®equipmentandaccessoriesconformtotheappropriate
ElectromagneticCompatibility(EMC)regulations,tominimizeelectromagnetic
interferencebetweenequipmentandminimizetheeffectsuchinterference
couldhaveontheperformanceofyoursystem.
CorrectinstallationisrequiredtoensurethatEMCperformanceisnot
compromised.
Note:
Inareasofe xtremeEMCinterference,someslightinterferencemaybe
noticedontheproduct.Wherethisoccurstheproductandthesourceof
theinterferenceshouldbeseparatedbyagreaterdistance.

Whenchoosingasuitablelocationforyourproductyoushouldaimto
maintainthemaximumpossibledistancebetweentheproductandany
installedcompass.Thisdistanceshouldbeatleast1m(3ft)inalldirections.
Forsmallervesselsitmaynotbepossibletoachievethisdistance.Inthis
situationensurethatthecompassisnotaffectedbytheproductwhenitis
poweredon.

i. Fixthesuppliedmountingtemplatetothechosenlocation,using
maskingorself-adhesivetape .
ii.Drill2holesasindicatedonthetemplatetoacceptthefixings.
iii.Removethemountingtemplate.
iv.Screwthefixingsapproximatelyhalfwayintotheholesinthe
mountingsurface.
2.Placetheunitoverthefixingsscrewsandpushdowntoengagethe
keyholeslots.
3.Fullytightenthescrews.

Beforemountingtheproduct,ensurethatyouhave:
