shouldbeatleast1m(3.3ft)inalldirections.Howeverforsomesmaller
vesselsitmaynotbepossibletolocatetheproductthisfarawayfroma
compass.Inthissituation,whenchoosingtheinstallationlocationforyour
product,ensurethatthecompassisnotaffectedbytheproductwhenit
isinapoweredstate.

6.4Viewingangleconsiderations

Asdisplaycontrastandcolorareaffectedbytheviewingangle,Itis
recommendedthatyoutemporarilypowerupthedisplay,priortoinstallation,
toenableyoutobestjudgewhichlocationprovidestheoptimumviewing
angle.

Thepurposeofthedrainwireistodrainexcessvoltagefromthecableshield,
givingitapathtosafety.Thedrainwireprotectsthecable'sinnersignal
conductorsfromelectricalnoiseemittedbyothercablesanddevices.

Althoughthedrainwireisnotintendedtogroundtheproduct'sinternal
