INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION FOR KIT #256073

MANUAL REMOTE SHIFTER USED WITH RPH-8000 WINCH

1. Shift the winch to engage the clutch. Remove existing handle by driving out existing pin. Attach the
handle (item #2) to the shaft by driving the roll pin (item #6) into place. Drive roll pin (item #7) into
hole in shaft until end of pin is flush with outside surface of shaft. This pin is used as a key to pass
through keyhole of shifter plate.

2. Insert shaft (item #3) through keyhole in shifter plate. Thread jam nut (item #4) and coupling (item #1)

onto the end of the shaft. Attach the coupling to shifter shaft on the winch with the pin (item #6). Be
careful to support the shifter assembly to prevent damage while driving in the pin.

3. Thread the shaft into the coupling until end of handle is 2.50" from shifter plate and the handle is

horizontal. Tighten the jam nut (item #4) against coupling to lock in place. DISENGAGE and
ENGAGE the clutch several times to ensure there is no binding and the clutch moves freely.

4. Remove adhesive backing from decal (item #5) and stick decal beside shifter plate, as shown.
