speaker jacks, such as the HTX­202 2-Meter Transceiver (Cat. No. 19-1120) or the HTX-404 440 MHz Transceiver (Cat. No. 19-1140).
The headset is also compatible with Icom, Standard, Yaesu, and Alin co transc eivers.
The headset has these features:
Voice Activation Control (VOX)
— you can set the headset to auto­matically activate the transceiver

so you transmit only when you speak.
Push-To-Talk (PTT) Button — lets you manually switch between transmitting and receiving when the voice activation feature is not appropriate.
Small, Lightweight Earbud and Boom Microphone — ensures
snug and comfortable handsfree operation.

PREPARATION
INSTALLING THE BATTERY
You need one AAA battery to oper­ate the headset. For the longest battery life, w e recommend an al­kaline battery, such as Cat. No. 23-
555. Follow these steps to install the battery.

1. Press down on the battery compartment cover and slide it in the direction of the arrow.
2. Install the battery in the com­partment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
3. Replace the cover.
Note: If you are using VOX and the transceiver does not switch to transmit when you begin speaking, replace the bat tery.

USING THE CLIP
You can use the clip to attach the headset’s control box to a pocket or belt.
